Yes, he is nemuke in Age of Empires 3, who participated WCG as AoE3 player.

To all the people in here getting bent out of shape about his "fat" comment, when you say "fat" in Japanese you use the word 太い (futoi) but the same word is used to describe "big" as in muscular, so for all we know he might have been referring to europeans as "big" not necessarily "fat"
We make signature, then defense it.

oh shit, no one let Nemuke go to US tournaments, he's going to get his mind blown haha.

Thanks for the translations, he sounds like someone who doesn't go out much. Seems like it was a great experience for him. I hope he was able to make some friends.

To all confused by "His body was impressive"..

If I translate nemuke's tweet freely, I would write "His behavior seemed very confident" instead of "His body was impressive". I think Ansalem translated his tweet rather literally. (Btw I'm native Japanese and following nemuke's twitter)

Anyway thanks very much for translation Ansalem, I and many Japanese SC2 fans enjoyed this thread!

Aw, an opportunity to put my Japanese fluency to worthwhile use here on TL missed ^^;

Re: the futoi / fat comment, people's "sizes" really aren't considered anywhere nearly as inappropriate amongst Japanese, much unlike how it is in Western cultures. It's almost certain he didn't meant it an overtly negative way, for what that's worth.

It's funny, if he said "Americans are fat" nobody would care.

For the record, Ryung is pronounced more like Lyung (to an English ear) and it is [u]one[/u syllable. Tasteless' pronunciation isn't the greatest. Listen to the Korean caster's intros and you'll see.

On a related note the Japanese pronounciation of the Street Fighter character Ryu sounds like Lyoo. One syllable. Ree-oo is sufficient and will be understood by native speakers. Lee-oo would sound even better and Rye-oo is just wrong.

The wrong part would be "rai-yu." oo/ou = long vowel... Re/Le = Reh/Leh for White ppl...
Ri/Li =/= Rai/Lai / always just Ri/Li

white ppl are usually bigger in general...

Hello guys,
I'm nemuke who attended in ESWC as Japanese representative. nice to meet you

I never expected that my Japanese tweets translated into English, I was so surprised
but I'm so glad if it made you have interest to Japanese SC2 scene

As for "Europeans become fatter", of course I didn't mean for every Europeans.
I meant a few Europeans in the TV show I've seen,
I saw very smart/beautiful men/women becomes 2-3 times fatter when they got older. just joking

I'd like to introduce some Japanese SC2 site. of course it's all Japanese though.

Starcraft2 Japanese Community(SJC), this is biggest tournament and community site in Japan. sometimes they do offline tournament as well.
http://starcraft2.jpcommunity.com/sc2/

Starcraft-times, this is greatest sc news site in Japan. sometimes they went to Korea and translated the interview into Japanese.
http://sc-times.net/

and this is my blog named nemu-log
http://nemukelog.blogspot.com/

Though my English is a littler poor, If you have any questions about Japanese SC2 scene,
I'd like to try to answer it.
Thank you

Speaking of Japanese players, what happened to breek's twitter? Sort of off topic but I can't seem to find him anymore.
