This thread is for those Irish members around the community.
Depending on how popular this is, I would love to set up a barcraft event in Dublin City for the MLG event in Providence, mid November. In Cork City, they held a barcraft event just yesterday and the night before for Orlando, which was a huge success. Not only did fans turn up, but blizzard's employees turned up to watch the event. I think we can do the same thing up here with great success.
So how do we do this? Post to this thread if you would be interested in attending this event and if we get a good response, we can approach some pubs and get the ball rolling :D

Sounds good, although MLGs tend to go very late by Irish time. If someone organises one I would definitely try to attend it.

There's interest, we got a little over 20 people to one in Stillorgan a couple of weekends back. I'd say you could expect more than that if you organised one for the city center.

Just looking at the different forums, the boards.ie posts and the reddit thread, I know that we can get something crazy going for Providence. If we get enough people, we can do better then renting out just a pub. In cork they managed captain america's. we could get people from all over the country for a weekend of pure starcraft. If we can get a lounge rented out, we could go all night until the grand final on sunday, right in the city centre. so lets spread the word and get this thread out everywhere. we have time to make this unreal :D

OKAY PEOPLE UPDATE A COMING!
So the plan is, find a venue that will let us house a lot of people and will stay open until the end of championship sunday which could be around 9PM EDT, which is around 1-2PM local (correct me if I'm wrong) So the best case scenario would be a venue like Captain America's on Grafton Street Dublin. It's central, can hold about 120 people.
Now depending on the response to this, we may need a larger venue. But note, the bigger it gets, we may have to sell tickets. Like 5 euro a ticket. We will never charge you anything over this 5 euro because this is for fun, not for any gain. Money would go towards the venue and facilities. But as of now, there will be NO COST besides whatever you buy in drink
For now, it's down to the interwebz. This thread HAS to get around. We need hype. People from all over Ireland, this is for all of you. So come up from Cork and down from Northern Ireland. It'll be an amazing night. Let's try and get 100, then 200 people. Let's make this huge! We have just under a month. If we don't at least get a 100 people onto this, we can't do it.
I'm also gonna be sending invites to the Blizzard Employees in Dublin AND Cork and get as much attention on this as possible. So spread the word. On boards.ie, reddit.com and anywhere else we can get people. We do this right, and itll be a championship sunday to remember!

Did this ever amount to anything at all? I am in dublin for work (im from London) and was wondering if there was a barcraft for friday and saturday's MLG playtimes?
I will be able to catch the championship sunday from home but hoping to be able to watch it somewhere in dublin on the previous 2 days rather than sitting in a hotel room on my laptop alone....not fun.

Right lads, heres the story,
because of some concert going on, theres an afterparty happening at captain americas. and unfortunatly, they were the only place that were willing to house us.
HOWEVER, I have confirmed reports of a barcraft in stillorgan. If anyone could link the barcraft google map page, you will see the details of the event. I'll do my best to get that on the thread.
I recommend everyone gets the luas down to stillorgan for the event on championship sunday.
My hope is that the success of the cork barcraft in cap americas, will build enough hype for an event in the city centre here.
Theres a small group of us in trinity who were trying to organize this. keep your eyes out for a facebook page that will list future barcrafts.
