HuK, Stephano and IdrA are the best foreigners atm imo. I think SaSe is better than ThorZaIN atm.

1. HuK/Stephano/IdrA can't decide. Stephano is almost always good, IdrA is really good atm and HuK is good in periods I think.

Stephano wins one tournament and gets as much credit as HuK who has won multiple tournaments and has stayed in Code S for many months... I'm pretty sure a player needs to do more than that to be crowned best foreigner. Same with Thorzain, 1 online tournament win.

im not sure we can consider stephano yet, he has only really done well in a couple tournaments. I think his lack of world wide exposure has certainly helped him, as idra mentioned in inside the game, its a different style that people haven't seen before, and as such haven't quite adapted to it yet, the question of if he is one of the top players is if he can adapt to the adaptation or if he'll fall off once his style is figured out.

I guess he wasn't at his best, against a much more jet lagged Idra at IPL. We all know how great Thorzain is, can't even advance past ro32 in code A. Winning an online tournament a million months ago = murders all foreigners easily? Here are some facts for you blind zealots. Go to liquipedia and look at his tournament wins. Wow, so many crazy 1st place finishes! If you want to ONLY go off of victories, Huk makes Thorzain look like a total scrub nub. What do I know though, I don't drink the European cool aid.

Huk and Idra are the best foreigners imo. Not only did they show a good performance in the recent MLG, but theyve also been around since the beginning. Sure, both had bad times, but they always come back and are overall the most accomplished foreigners.

Id put Stephano in third. Hes an awesome player and he might even be the best at the moment, but he has to prove that he can stay on that level.

Although I do agree with you to a certain amount.
Stephano was already hyped up before the tournament, it isnt as much this one win its people that watch him reguraly that know he is one very scary zerg (I can see their point).

But I feel its to easy to say that X players are the best atm. Think it will take a few years and a lot of tournaments before we can determen that kind of drastic accusations.

Also, Nerchio is very underrated in this thread, NERCHIO!!

Based on recent results, actually evaluating their gameplay, and of course, my personal opinion:

1) HuK
2) Stephano
3) IdrA

Maybe Thorzain at the fourth spot? Not too sure. It's a close pack behind the top three in my opinion. I put Stephano above IdrA because I believe that Stephano has as good of a ZvT as IdrA, much better ZvP, and a substantially better/more consistent ZvZ. (I would also bet on Stephano to win in a ZvZ BO3 against IdrA)

It's really hard to place them in order.. For example Stephano could probably beat Huk but Huk can probably beat a lot of people Stephano can't.

I guess you have to rate them on recent tournament results

Huk
Stephano
Idra
Then it gets blurry...Thorzain perhaps

I love how currently one of each race is in top 3 That makes me happy. All the talk about the game being imbalanced I really think people put to much in ups and downs between the races and shifts in the metagame. Sure protoss is at a low right now, but MLG still ended up in a PvP finals. Ofc it was only a P that won becauseu IMMvp didn't show, but one guy being better doesnt make his race imbalanced.

My personal top 3 reflects the current top 3 in the poll:
ThorZain, HuK and Stephano. Hard to compare people's skill across races. They play very different styles and all have areas they really stand out in.

I'm just confused how stephano gets called better than Idra. I mean he has almost no results in comparison, and has just recently done well while Idra has been doing pretty well for basicly all of SC2 so far. It really feels like people have the syndrome of "omg this new player just popped up and did decently, he's the next bonjua!!" And don't get even half as excited for better players who have been doing better for longer, because they're not "new and fresh"

Stephano is obviously good and all, but you can't be serious in trying to put him above idra or huk when he just entered the tournament scene.

I would probably agree with this. ThorZaIN seems a bit out of shape(?) at the moment. A while back i would have said he was the best foreigner (like when he 2-0d IdrA etc) however he did almost beat DongRaeGu in a bo5
