Then it was Sen after he was the highest placing foreigner in NASL. Then it was Dimaga after he won Assembly. Then it was Ret after he won the EU battle.net invitational. Then it was Thorzain after doing well in the GSTL and taking 2nd at Dreamhack Valencia. Then it was Idra after winning IEM Guangzhou. Now it's Stephano after winning IPL3. Who knows who's going to be next. The only conclusion I can come to is that there is no #1 foreigner until someone takes the throne and stays there for an extended period of time like the way MC/Nestea/MVP did in Korea. Actually, if you look at the top voted player it is Thorzain, and he have regularly performed at top level.

Thorzain all the way.. I dont really consider Huk to be a foreigner to be honest.
thorzain huk (even though hes korean trained) stephano and sen are the top 4 , not a big gap to decide who's better than who
There's no way Thorzain is better than Idra lol.
Maybe a new version of this poll, anyone still think Idra doesn't deserve to be here?
It has been HuK for ages now. Shame he's EG.
Idra is the best obviously. Stephano? lolol
I honestly think Idra should be number 1.... any chance we can get a reset on this thread

Players are always rising and falling so its natural that one month you think that Player X is best and in the next month you think that actually Player Y is better.
Someone has to make the "[insert appropriate month] 2011 Best Foreigner Player" thread each month.

This thread hasn't even been open for a month and already perceptions of the best players have changed a number of times, its pretty much impossible to decide the best foreigner player I think.

Why is it so obvious that IdrA is better than Stephano? enlighten me.
Someone explain to me why Thorzain is pretty handily the top foreigner? I know the Koreans rate him very highly, but in terms of overall tournament results, he hasn't really done much to prove he's better than say Idra, Huk or Stephano.
EDIT: Derp... just saw that this thread was made about 2 weeks ago, before IPL.
well idra, huk, stephano are the 3 best foreigners right now! based on latest tournament results!
Thorzain and naniwa would complete my top5!
What i would like to know is why foreign terrans suck so much compared to koreans?
Now that Stephano has made a big splash in a tournament I can only hope that Merchio will get a chance like this, arguably the best foreigner zerg.
I wouldn't really vote for 'the best' foreigner, but for the most consistent foreigner. And that is without a doubt HuK.
Huk/Naniwa/Thorzain/Idra/Stephano seem pretty equal to me. Guys like Nerchio, Sen, White-Ra, SaSe and Dimaga aren't far behind them either.
(I don't count Select as a foreigner since his fundamental approach to gaming (work ethics, etc) comes from his Korean background (DoW, WC3). He's good despite of living in the US, not because of. )

This poll should be remade, so much has happened since it was made. IdrA was still in his "slump", and pretty much right after this poll was made he turned on grack mode and started owning nerds. As for who is the best, i'll say IdrA for Z, HuK P, and Tzain for T

As much as I love huk I don't consider him to be a foreigner because I don't want starcraft two to be like starcraft one. Live in korea or fail. If esports is to succeed here then the skill level of players here needs to be as high as over there. If people like thorzain wants to go see what it's like and see if it suits him then that's fine, but that shouldn't be the be all and end all.

i want to see more of morrow.. he always does well in smaller tourneys, and often beating idra (in tvz :S:S:S:S) and stuff like that. just seems he hasnt performed that well in lans lately though. i hope he gets his stuff together and wins nasl or something
