If Stephano goes to Korea to practice, he will be the best. As of right now it is probably Diamaga and MajOr soon. Also, HuK is up there.

Pretty much Mana is the only P that can compete with the Koreans (White-Ra... no. Not really, he did beat MMA though. But I'd say no).

I think White-Ra can beat any T if he can get away with his greedy openings. But no.. not really. It worked once against MMA and right after that the Koreans learned what he does and countered hard.

Stephano, MajOr and NaNiwa will soon be the top 3 international players by a long mile IMO. They have the most unfulfilled potential and the best environment to fulfil it (except Stephano, who is simply a French Flash, but it would be a shame if he never goes to Korea to reach his potential).

HuK is still in my mind the best. Only foreigner with consistency in GSL and some other tourney results to back that up. Stephano, Naniwa, Sase, Idra, Thorzain, Sen, Dimaga, Select, maybe Sjow all are just a step below but could definitely be as good as HuK. We will see if they can form some kind of consistency. Mana, White-Ra, Demuslim, Sheth, etc are all good but I think they're a small step below.

I think the most important thing to look at is that, regardless of who is "the best", after this weekend, it's safe to say the gap between foreigners and koreans is getting smaller and smaller.

Every single Korean at the IPL looked very beatable in their matches.

Got to love the bandwagoning in the TL forums.

Still Stephano is an pretty awesome player. I still think the title for best foreigner is too close to decide based on few tournies

Ya, I feel like people are all for stephano now after ipl3. Obviously he is a great player. And obviously one of the best foreigners. But maybe we should wait for a couple more lans before we set everything in stone. Everyone is acting like Stephano being the best foreigner is a done deal now.

I don't know if the gap is getting smaller. Perhaps with lower end code a and b Koreans, but the top still just seems as big as ever.

Stephano just hurled a wrench into the entire pro-scene. I'm still blown away.

Honestly, I don't think anything has changed. Ret took a serie out of a korean, Idra took down ARtist who is clearly not a top korean, and that's it. All the other foreign vs korean victories were Stephano's.

White-Ra over MMA! Highlight of IPL3 for me. Even better than Stephano winning the whole thing.

I agree. Sure,a high percentage of the Koreans that were at the IPL are excellent players, they are still not the best. Using IPL as a way to judge Korea v. Foreigners is not a good idea, in fact it's quite stupid because there are so many Koreans that are leagues ahead of most of the foreigners and didn't attend this tournament.

Stephano is so ridiculously good. He just understands the game, it's amazing. However, I feel that he lacks the dedication to become the best of the best, after all he did say he plans to quit SC2 in about a year (he's just using it as a way to make some money, not that I'm judging. It's his choice). But, if he continues to receive a lot of fan support and if he wins these big tournaments he might stay a bit longer and pour a little bit more of his soul into it.

It was stated before, and I agree, there should be a new poll. A lot has changed

Foreigners fighting!

My favourite foreigner would have to be the Archaic MSI boys, therefore they are the best players.

Anyone noticing bias? Because I am. Europeans vote for Europeans as the best and same with the North Americans. It's disgustingly obvious. (This isn't the case for everyone, there are exceptions of course) Let the results speak for themselves. I.e. Look at player's achievement page then evaluate.
