I also think that IdrA is better than MC at the moment. IdrA lost because he had just played 8 of the most intense games we'd ever seen - five games vs Boxer ending in a 4-3 win, and three brutally long, razor-thin games against Bomber, all back to back. Nobody could play their best, or anything approaching their best, only minutes after an ordeal like that.
IdrA said it had nothing to do with being tired. He said it was just his ZvP not being his best MU. Think it was on ITG.

Not only that but I dont even remember the last time IdrA actually beat HuK in a tournament setting. It has been months if I recall. IdrA is getting good, but don't discount HuK so easily.

sruely you have to judge this on results. And who on that list has more then HuK?
I dunno, maybe you can judge their play by watching them play?

In term of recent results, it's obviously among Huk, Idra and Stephano
Now we can compare their respective resutlts
From http://www.sc2charts.net since september:
Stephano : 80W, 22L, win ratio 78.5% (20W, 9L, 69% win rate against koreans+HUK) Huk : 35W, 22L, win ratio 61.5% (20w, 14L, 58.8% against koreans + stephano) Idra : 60W, 33L, win ratio 64.5% (17w, 13L, 56.6% against koreans)
Now, if you judge on results only, I think it's pretty obvious who is the best. Stephano's winrate is just insane.
Personnaly, I agree with the post above mine, and it's better to judge after watching them play.

After recent tournaments, its pretty obvious the answer is stephano. He has won both the ipl and the eswc, which featured many top koreans are well as top foreigners.

Think about it, pretty much all thorzain has done was winning TSL 3. There were plenty other big tournaments that huk idra and others did better then him at. i honestly dont see why thorzain is #1 when you look at results and recent activity.

The reason Thorzain was at the top of list is because the poll was taken just after his great performance at DH, and after a month in Korea. Right now it's pretty clearly between Stephano, HuK and Idra.
|
you gotta notice that 90% of the votes were made before october, before IPL3, MLG, IEM, ESWC, Blizzcon and after Dreamhack Invitational Valencia.
Since the thread editor is permabanned, there wont be a new one i guess. maybe someone should copy the thread and make a 2nd pool, like in early november or so?

Well to be fair to Thorzain he has been sick the last 2 weeks he had a nasty troat infection at IPL. But I do agree Idra,Huk and Stephano seems to be ahead everyone els atm

Yup.
I wish we could get poll options to display votes over time as some kind of graph, would be interesting to track how things tend to trend.
That said Stephano obviously cemented his claim as one of the truly top foreigners this weekend, only Huk is a rival to him right now results-wise.
I'm predicting a Naniwa resurgence in these polls by the end of the year though.
Also worth noting that Sen finally shows back up in an event outside of Thailand and instantly delivers a big result. He's still very relevant in all these discussions.

In my opinion
top 3 foreign zergs: Stephano, Idra, Sen top 3 foreign protosses: Huk, Naniwa, Mana top 3 foreign terrans: just Thorzain....

Agree on this, but I don't know who's better between mana and sase. But I don't see any better foreign zergs then those 3.

By top koreans in ESWC you mean MKP? I wouldn't even put him in the top 5 Terrans anymore. Sorry but you should of looked at the roster before you pluralized Koreans. It should of been separated from IPL all together.

white-ra should be here what's with the hate on Idra.
This is such a pointless thread though, it doesnt matter who the best foreigner is... it should just be who's doing well.

jinro. demuslim. bratok. GOOOODY. there are a few who can at least compete.

Huk & IdrA are pretty tied at the moment in my opinion, with Stephano a little behind them. I wonder whether Huk could've beaten Bomber if he had to face him in MLG Orlando, he did beat MC pretty convincingly in their first game on tal'darim however in the 4 gate vs 4 gate. Stephano has done very well but from my understanding he has yet to beat a player of Bomber or MC's caliber in a tournament and has lost games to slightly lower players like Kiwikaki and just recently NightEnD in the ESWC pool play, his ZvP in general seems a bit weak to put him among the other two top foreigners, but we'll see as he gets more opportunities to prove the extent of his abilities.

None of those guys you listed are close right no.
I would add Select maybe to that list? He had a pretty solid performance at Blizzcon. As for a third terran? Uhm. Uh. Who cares, theres enough Korean terrans that we can count them as foreigners.

Its a different matchup... terrans have a much harder time dealing with zerg then with protoss not to mention idras zvt looks crazy good... his zvp is a little lack luster
