Alot of jealousy from the NA sc2 fans. If Stephano was infact from US and not French Im sure he would have like a million fans.

I don't get it really how come the foreign community cant just be happy that we got a few new and up coming players no matter where they from.

took a game off a code S player while he was still at school playing 2-3 hours a day, stfu please

So did thorzain Naniwa Goody and several other people in TSL3.

What do online matches v Koreans teach us?

nothing.

The skill differance back then wasn't very large, and the way liquid ran the tournament (switching servers for each game) means the results were pretty fair.

They switched servers for KOR vs US and US vs EU.

KOR vs EU was always played on US servers.

Yea anyone who disagrees that stephano is the future hasn't watched him play yet IMHO. Just watch him play and you'll realize how beastly he is.

I hope you mean in tournies and not just streaming cause when you watch through one perspective only it will look a lot more impressive then it actually is.

inb4 Tunisians on this forum (i've seen a few) being fans of his because his parents are from there or something.

That random aside aside, well, it's an impressive streak, but until Stephano starts showing he's really got balls of steel, I think it's too early to say he's going to be the next GSL Code S champ (I'm not saying you said that as you did not, but the way some people in this thread are making out this accomplishment, it's like he's "top 3 player in the world").

Look at his post history, he's a troll, and an entertaining one, too. He thinks the top players in the world are machine, drewbie, catz, axslav, strifecro, moonglade, lzgamer and protech.

So what, we mock someone because he has other opinions ? Not in my book.

Some of his games from IGN/IPL S3 qualifiers are up as VODS:

Haters : Ok guys, here is how we are going to try to discredite Stephano, we will say in every post were his name is quoted that he needs to play Lan, because, like everyone knows beating koreans and being nearly undefeated online is worthless and means nothing !

Very clean games this week end for stephano in Fxo KOTH and Scan dignitas invitational ( he won both btw )

And why can't you be happy if there's a new up and coming talent from Korea? Or does only not matter where someone is from so long as they're not Korean?

LAN is the only thing that matters. There is a long standing phrase in ESports, "If it wasn't on LAN it didn't happen". That sums up the relevance of Stephano beating MMA on 400ms at 7am when MMA had stayed up all night, having played the all star game at GSL during the day in a game where both players had already qualified for the tournament in question.
