I can't even take this post seriously if you actually think Stephano is the most talented SC2 player to date when he doesn't have a single tournament achievement. Like how stupid are you to even make that claim? How can you possibly think he's better than MC/Nestea/Bomber/MVP/Huk/DRG/MMA, etc when all he does is ladder...

Come back and say hes the best SC2 player of all time when he's actually rolf stomped over everyone I just listed in a LAN and not some online tournament where hes playing people hugely affected by lag & reaction time.

ask him to attempt a visit to korea, and see if he does relatively the same. the usual winrate over in korea is mostly below 70, 65% if he can acheive more somehow and some way, he is the chosen one : )

doesnt matter. saying that he is the most talented is STILL a foolish statement. he aint better than MC and the rest, but he also aint more talented than Nestea and the other guys.

Yes the but the most talented SC2 player to date would have more than 3rd at Assembly summer for notable tournament placings. Even when not playing fulltime. Calling Stephano more talented than MC, who has 11 top 3 major international tournament placings 2 being GSL wins, or nestea who has 3 GSLs is just insulting, especially because of a ladder run, or beating some Koreans in an online qualifier.

of couse it matters, its an entirely different statement. I wouldnt say hes the most talented player, since thats impossible to tell (at least at this time), i do agree however that hes very very talented, seeing as hes in medschool and was playing sc2 only part time, at least until shortly when he announced taking time off school to play sc2 full time. He did beat players like huk, alive, mma, etc while playing part time so theres no denying that he has what it takes to compete at the top and i would be thrilled to see him improve in a more professional playing environment (aka korea).

Was he not out of school and basically playing fulltime anyway during summer?

And that's why exactly? I mean, if you are talented as hell and play less than other players, you can be on their level (give or take) but can't be better. We don't know how much Stephano played while he was in school, but from what I've heard not so much... Then, he played all summer and at the end of it, defeated some Koreans in IPL3 qual (hell when he defeated MKP, he was playing from Tunisia with lags maybe even worse than MKP had from Korea). Now he is going pro, playing full time from start of the summer, let's see how he does in IPL3 and maybe after that, Dreamhack Winter, Assembly Winter and so on... Then judge him.

I wasn't the one who said he's the most talented SC2 player of all time even though he has no LAN achievements, perhaps you should tell THAT guy to wait and see.

Ya, but I wanted to say, that he COULD be the most talented player that played SC2. Results have nothing to do with it, dedication and hard work is what wins you the championships, not the talent. Hell, some random guy in gold league can be the most talented SC2 player ever, but we will never know, because he played like 30 games of SC2 and not anymore... It's the same as football. You can have much more talent than Messi, but if you don't play, no one will ever know...
