Alot of interesting guessings and comments in this topic i must admit. He is really specific player, one could say underrated, with big lack of fans, does he care about that? Id personaly like to know.

Definitely this. He gets absolutely no credit and is severely underrated/hated on the forums simply because he said Jinro's run to the semis was by luck. Honestly I feel that people took his statement too seriously. It is fine for Koreans to trash talk or simply say they are outright bad to each other but when they say anything about foreigners the people on TL seems to get butthurt. Plus he also pulled an upset by sweeping the fan favourite MMA in the finals, which probably contributed to furthermore hate to him. I guess he's certainly not the most inspiring player to watch and for some mysterious reason he has this aura which makes the players he play seem to play mediocre (that or he plays so solid and brilliantly that in a subtle manner the other player looks just bad), but that doesn't take anything away from his accomplishment. Compare to players like Bomber and MMA who failed to either win a finals or get to there in the first place respectively, Polt has done what the other highly rated Terrans couldn't. Oh well. As Fionn said, Polt is fuelled by hatred. Guess it works either way.

I've never really been a fan, hope he does okay somewhere else, his play has seemed dated recently, a bit like MKP, a little lost perhaps.

Which is funny because MVP used bio against TOP's mech and absolutely tore him apart. Bio is still viable, even if it seems dated in the TvT mechfest that is now the GSL. Or the time when MMA demolished Boxer's mech with bio-play (though Boxer did make some critical mistakes). Just hope that Polt doesn't rust while he focuses on university. This certainly is a dilemma that Polt has to face once he finishes his studies. Does he pursue a successful career or pursue his dreams as a progamer? I hope he stays around for a bit longer before doing some other things, they can wait I think.

Oh poor Polt ![]() In all his matches he looked like he was playing the weaker style but his better game play in general kept him in it. He's a good player, but on the face of it it looks like he could play better going with the mech builds which are so successful atm. The same can be said of MarineKing, the transition to hellion/tanks etc seems of left him a bit caught out, they both win their matches but don't look nearly as dominant as they were before.
