The other side of the bracket should be a lot closer but I don't see Idra taking down Hero with his ZvP so Hero vs Thorzain/Huk.
Both Hero and Huk have good PvP and anyone can win in PvP anyway so DRG vs Huk/Hero final with DRG winning.
with lucifrons TvZ i woudnt be surprised if he 2:0 drg ;]
yeah right.......... Playing some online tourney against some dude in EU doesn't guarantee you to beat a top Zerg in Korean at all...
Who said anything about a guaranteed victory? Just giving credit where its due, LucifroN displayed incredible TvZ against arguably the 2 best foreign Zerg atm. Thats all, hes certainly not a "weak" player
Lots of ppl was hyping Nerchio as the best Zerg in EU and foreign. Even said he can win a GSL title. And then what? He lost in the first round of the play-off bracket at IEM... Sorry I'm not really interested in all these hyping in foreigners.
Agreed. We've seen this euro hype train before and it must work in cycles by race. The last two to receive this level of hype were Kas and Happy and we've all seen how they've done nothing really of note at lans. Now it's time to hype the zergs of nericho and stephano. Until those two do something of note at a major lan, then I'm staying off the hype train.
You could win all the the online craft/zotac or whatever cups you want, but I still wouldn't put any of those achievements to anything on par with a good showing at an mlg.
Well to be fair to the "Euro Hype Train" (which I admit goes overkill at times) Kas did way more than "nothing". He pulled in a 2nd at Copenhagen games which might not have the name of MLG but certainly had a lineup as strong or stronger than most of the pre-Korean MLG's. Not to mention 3rd in TSL which isnt something to sniff at. And in the case of Nerchio/Stephano, S has a 3rd at Assembly, outperforming Nada, Sen and Huk, done pretty damn well in certain + Show Spoiler +
IPL Qualifiers
and Nerchio has done excellently in things like IPL2.
In the case of Lucifron I fear you may be right however, he's not quite got the same results to his name. but dont say that some European players are getting hyped for nothing when its not true. Yeah they get slightly overcooked but you'd be naive not to expect that from any fans
Ok, I might have used some hyperbole in regards to their achievements, but no more hyperbole than the euro hype train, so it balances out.

Yeah but you're right you make a good point, its so frustrating to see the hyperbolic fandom. Im sure im not the only person that finds it puts me off players I initially liked even though its not really their own fault. Although it hasnt put me of Lucifron yet so im hoping for what would be a rediculously big upset come saturday!

Oh come on, you just can't get over the fact that NA has 0 talent (besides Huk of course)! If Lucifron doesn't suffer from nerve issues I think he'll be the surprise of the tournament.
2GD hwaiting!!. Really enjoyed his commentary last time with TLO . Would love to see him paired up with an analytical commentator like Artosis or Day[9] or a top level player, but gotta wait and see how this works out.
But jeez, stacked tourney, other than Lucifron (whoever that is).
Finals? I'm guessing DRG and Thorzain, but HuK and Naniwa could just as easily get there. If IdrA doesn't give up right away and Rain is in form we could see them too.
DRG i will be cheering for you! i seriously think no one can take this guy out at the moment, he is on such a high, maybe MVP or Nestea probably. The only competition i see in this tournament is Hero, and that should be a good match, but DRG will come out on top
(sorry idra, but i am actually voting against you on this one )

What? No one can take him out? In ZvP and ZvZ theres alot of players favored against him/have beaten him recently. Even in ZvT his only truly exceptional matchup, MMA and MVP would likely beat him.
Whatever happens i hope thorzain wins, i can never get tired of watching him dismantle people. Also i think this will be one of the sickest sc2 tourneys to date, it has the players, casters, production (if it is anything like the last invitational) , and 2GD
