Heya!
I was wondering if it would be a good idea to disable mous scrolling ingame.
As day9, and many others, have said: you need to click the minimap and use (screen) hotkeys to move the camera and use screen edge scrolling as minimal as possible.
It has become such a habit for me to scroll that its hard to not do it. So I was wondering what you guys think about disabeling the mouse scrolling in the options menu.
cheers!

I don't think that'll do you any good... You're gonna suffer in every single battle.
I have it disabled. You need an alternative though, I use the middle mouse button. It's extremely precise, I recommend everyone to try it
What ever floats your boat. Nobody can make the decision for you.
How can you play without scrolling lol? Day9 means it's not good scrolling A LOT - a little bit scrolling is ok.
To force yourself, if you're having a problem using it a lot... it might be a good idea.
For scouting and micro'ing your army though, you need to scroll a few inches every so often. One of the biggest mistakes people make though is like scrolling around your main base a lot, or scrolling to your natrural- never do shit like that. Always use double tap of your hotkeys to bounce around.
When it comes time for serious play though- and you trust yourself- screen scroll is really needed for your scouting, things like Muta harass, and microing battles.

Myea, it would be for a week or so, just to force myself to use more screenhotkeys and minimapclicking.
The idea of using middlemouse instead is pretty interesting though....
Everyone scrolls a little bit. I think it would be a pretty bad idea because you never know what might happen and there could be situations where you do not have the hotkeys necessary to play effectively
I'm a middle mouse user myself. Have mouse scroll off and it's totally awesome.
Keep it on, but turn it up to the maximum sensitivity and learn to use it efficiently.
Try it and see how well you do...lol
I don't recommend using middle mouse. I mean it's extra click you need to do every time you want to move screen - does not sound really efficient.
