Attempting to find another teams to play on while being under contract is a breach of contract, among other things. How do you know what the contract says, have you seen it? Um, when you sign a 15-month contract, and it's only 5 months in, it's pretty safe to say the client has a reasonable expectation that you fulfill more than 33% of the term you committed to. To be quite frank it's obvious that anyone that is taking Major side is either 15 or younger, is still in school, never read or written a contract, never hired a contracter, or even managed an employee. And it's clear that you have no clue how contracts in sports work. I wonder how football players from big clubs are able to change clubs if their contract is still running. According to you they wouldnt be allowed to negotiate with their potentially new clubs. And it never happens that the club who contracted the player encourages the player to find a new team. So as long as we dont know the details of the contract it's pure speculation from your part that major's breaking the contract when negotiating with new teams. He can even join a new team if he wants to with his old contract still being valid. Sure, it's unlikely that the contract doesnt cover this, but hey - I'm just going to speculate about the content of the contract like you! In football it is heavily frowned upon if a player talks to another team without his own teams permission. The normal process is teams talk to each other first and if there is an interest in working things out regarding a buyout then they can talk to the player.

Of course he'd try to shop around, he would never want to stay with sixjax for 15 months after they refused to send him to Korea and MLG for forgetting to wear a jersey. You'd think they would have simply given him one to wear at the venue and prevented all that crap, and told DDE to not mind what a hotheaded 18yr old. Whoever is managing sixjax is not doing a very good job at actually MANAGING their players, I get the feeling. EDIT: And what kind of company would ever publicly disclose any of this information?
He didn't just forget to wear his jersey. He lost his jerseys and then lied about losing them.

In major NA sports, you're not allowed to negotiate with other teams before the conclusion of your contract. I don't know about SC2 contracts.
But I'm pretty sure if someone like IdrA started shopping himself around and trying to find other teams to offer him a contract, when he's only been on the team for five fucking months, he would alienate himself from his teammates, his managers, his sponsors, other teams, and the community at large.
So you're right, smart guy ... there is a faint chance that contractually, Major did nothing wrong. But business-wise, I would say he's handled almost everything wrong.
The idea that Complexity, after absorbing Root, is sending Drewbie to Korea puts a smile on my face.

For an example, Chelsea received a transfer ban for tapping up (speaking to a player under contract) Gael Kakuta. It's a pretty big nono. I'm not aware of a playing trying to sell himself around while under contract. It would probably be career suicide.

Well, a club would first speak to the agent to see if there's interest. It would be pretty silly to negiotiate a deal with another club only for the player to say they're not interested!

so in the end Major is still Major but Sixjax didnt follow through on all their promises either. I dont blame Sixjax though because who would wanna make such an investment into someone who behaves like Major does? That's just silly. Major needs to shape up and but so does Sixjax(like being more thorough with their contracts). Mistakes were made on both sides but in the end Major lost his spot on Sixjax and has mostly(but not entirely) himself to blame.

It should start with his team and go from there. And if the team says hey, your under contract to play for us, then you have to do it.

Hes just a spoilt kid =/. Shame if only he could manner up he would have so much potential

I would quite like to see DDE come into this thread and give his thought (if he has already, what page is it on? Must have missed it.)
That or MLG, since if there was an actual technical foul, they would be able to confirm it

Hahaha, more SixJax backlash, I love it...
Why dont they try to save face and stop releasing dirty clothes from the team? Btw, given they talk about his mother, I wonder now how old he was when he signed his contract.

If he has any common sense, he'll stay away from this drama as far as he can.

Wow, after reading the last statement, Major, y u no manner?
But still Sixjax did not write why they did not send any players to the last MLG event.

I immediately talked to sixjax manaer right after the tournament about major's behaviour. Because if the matches would get streamed later on(I believe they did replay cast later on), It would definitely ruin the reputation of the player (major) and the team (sixjax). I even asked the admins of the tournament, If they are going to upload the vod, remove the part where he bad mannered (pretty much first 1 minute of every games we played).
We still talk on battle.net and skype even after the incident.
Anyways, Like I mentioned somewhere in this thread, just wish both parties do well. After all sixjax didnt take any legal action on juan and released him. Which was what he wanted.

True, but I'd still like to see it, would shed some more light on the situation
EDIT: DDE, you're a hero. As if you made a post with that timing

Spoken like a reasonable person, model teammate and decent Canadian.

Sixjax doing dmg control now with more slandering of Major. Yea Major did alot of mistakes he is a youngling what did you expect? But starting to slander a kid, really?
I wish Major the best and hope Sixjax stays away from sc2 and start a professional ludo team or something els they can manage

They are responding to the slander that he puts all over the place...I dont get how you think this is their fault? They said no statements of fact except in response to slander. They specifically said they were only responding because it was getting out of hand. A kid? Really? You wish what, that an organization that asked a paid player to wear a jersey would do that and among other things would not cause local organizers of events to red card him to be more mannered before they would pay for him to go to another country to be more mannered? I just dont get the logic here and this post is a perfect example of that.
So sixjax is some shady mafia (which I dont believe) it doesn't change the fact that this guy shits on contracts, has a history of doing so, and has a history of shitting on the team trying to help him. No! Lets just say he is some poor (child?) person that was used by the system.
I just don't get what this thread wants anymore. The guy has years of screwing people over, provable fact. Has history of trying to screw his current team over, provable fact. Is a good guy?
Maybe sixjax is all that is wrong with esports but that is not the facts here. Maybe in six (jax?) months we will realize they had a plot to blow up gomtv but it doesn't change the current facts of princess!

i think you're the one who doesn't know. the club has to give permission to the player to talk to another club while undercontract. Alot of team such as barcalona are always getting finned and in trouble for not waiting for permission to talk to a player. See Cesc Fabrigas over the last couple of season with barca been in trouble with not having persmission to talk to him about moving but still doing so.
