First of all I'd like to thank all of you for the support regarding my GSL Application. There has been an overwhelming amount of positive feedback after I applied which I am really thankful for! I'd never have imagined, that there were so many people who supported my ambition to stream for GOM. Thank you very much!
Since my application I've been talking to John and Trevor about the opportunity to cast for GOM and thanks to their effort and quite a lot of emails we worked out the details of the trip and I'll soon be casting for GomTV in Korea! :D
Right now the application for a korean visa is being processed (which may take a few weeks) and as soon as I've been granted a visa for Korea I'll book my flight Right now I think that the end of September is most likely. The news about the success of my application reached my while I was on holidays (actually I still am for another 4 days xD) and therefore made my holiday even more enjoyable.
I hope that I can fullfill the expectations and am really looking forward to the trip! I'm really(!^^) excited about going to Korea and to stream with the current Code A casters!
Thanks again to all of you, cheers - Khaldor
edit: Just saw that the thread has been put on the mainpage as well! Thx very much TeamLiquid!!!
Update: I'll be going to korea on october 20th and stay until the end of the year
Nice congrats! I've listened to your german casts even though I don't understand, but love your English casts too! Gom hairstylists will have an easy time with you!
wow congrats my mom works in the korean embassy in berlin but she is not responsible for visas T_T otherwise i would annoy her so long till she is giving you the visa right now....XD
yay cheers! Congrats Khaldor it's gonna be good and a cool experience hopefully! Much of luck going there :D report back how it is, ps your english is amazing!
Wow, great to see this, you sure deserve it, love your casting too.
That said, sad my German isn't good enough to listen to your German casts and understand it, those casts are unrivaled, and it would've been awesome to see a German GSL if I did, even so, your English casting is pretty damn awesome and I hope to see some awesome synergy with Wolf of Doa (no offence, I don't like Moletrap), I'm looking forward to watching your casts at GomTV.
well earned khaldor... you really do a lot for esports and im happy to see you reaping the rewards! good luck and ignore the haters who attempt to slow you down...
Wow! Congrats Khaldor! One of my all time favorite casters to watch. So interesting and such a professional stream. Enjoy listening in German or English (granted my German is super rusty, but I catch enough to enjoy the stream).

Congratulations khaldor. I like your casting although I haven't seen too much of you since NASL. Hopefully this will change when you go to korea!!!! Good luck!!!!!!
Oh god yes! I actually will watch your stream at events even if its in German and I dont understand it over many others. So looking forward to you casting GSL!
On the one hand I think it's safe to say that Khaldor is the most well-rounded solocaster there is, on the other hand he really is a solocaster and doesn't work as well in a dualcast and his English casting isn't as good as his German casting.
Either way I'm really happy that he gets this chance cause he really deserves it! Congrats and good luck!

Tastosis CANNOT be replaced.
I agree, that's why this news is scary. Seems Tastosis are casting less and less these days, and more and more new casters are recruited. Some months ago Tastosis were casting code S, code A, and GSTL. Now they cast code S minus 4 code S days when they travel to MLG. As code S is like 10 days total that's a LOT. Wouldn't surprise me that they stop casting for GOM, that makes me sad
GSL is celebrating that it's 1 year old today and it's getting Khaldor as a birthday present. To quote the immortal words of everyones favorite NASL interviewer: Excellent!
I can not emphasize how amazing your enthusiasm for the game is Khaldor, you rock! I tend to watch your German stream even when there's other quality streams in English just because you're so passionate over the game. I'll be sure to watch more GSL now that you're going to be casting it, nice!
This is great, Khaldor is definitely one of the better casters out there. I have been taking a break from watching as much sc2 recently but I'll definitely tune in some more to catch some of these casts.
Awesome news. I will definitely buy a premium pass when he is streaming. He will be the best Code A Caster along with Wolf for sure! Khaldor/Wolf Archon? Yes plz.

Well, he hasn't played in this season yet since he's on vacation, but he mentioned it several times on his streams cause they have been asking him all the time in the chat.
this the guy who can't stop to take a breath and gets louder and louder and more and more out of breath as if there was no more oxygen in the room and im not using punctuation on purpose so i hope the effect comes across in the text.
Is it him?

Darkforce mentioned in an interview, that he would like to stay in Korea for one or two months after the WCG. Khaldor casting the best german zerg in the GSL would be awesome and hilarious.

I think Tasteless has casted for GomTv.net for like 4-5 Years i don't think he's going anywhere. On the other hand i personally hope Khaldor Replaces MoleTrap.

I cannot think of an individual more deserving than you. Knock em' dead.
Gratz Khaldor, after hearing nothing new for some time I already thought it wouldn't work out and now this. I'm so looking forward to your casting, bring joy and enthusiasm to gsl code a! Perhaps you can get wildfire to sponsor gsl, then you could playthe ads during gsl :D
Interesting that Khaldor is once again right: Most of his haters come from Germany...
So freaking nice Khaldor!!!! You are def one of the best casters around imo. Also I'm very happy GomTv is considering community feedback concerning GSL casters!!
Khaldor, I accidentally clicked on your stream a few months ago and almost immediately closed it when I saw an unfamiliar bald-headed guy speaking in furious german about a PvT... but then, listening to the sheer passion I paused, and I ended up watching a full 2 games (I speak 0 German).Your passion, skill and knowledge of the game shine through, and you are in my top 5 casters in the world.
Since then I've tried to catch your casts whenever possible, and I will definitely buy a GSL ticket for your first season casting. Congratulations!
Looking forward to some awesome casting by khaldor. but how can i watch all those vods from tastosis and now from khaldor as well gonna be pretty tuff :D but i enjoyed watching khaldor during wc3 days and now in gsl :D keep it up. your the best <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 greetings from germany
Big congrats man! I want you doing some casting justice! Study the metagame! Improve your own game! Cast like you've never casted before because this is the time and place to do it! :D
Also, I like your work ethic. I'm sure you'll inform yourself about the Korean players in no time and as a plus, you already know a ton about the EU players participating in Code A.
Biggest news i've heard in awhile, love you so much khaldor!!! I dont seen enough of you, but thats obviously going to change for the better ! Best of luck in korea!
Im a bit puzzled by GOMtv's decision to try out Khaldor. He's a great enthusiastic caster, but I find he falls a bit short in game knowledge like both Doa and Moletrap. I feel Khaldor will just contribute more of the same, but maybe GOMtv is going for enthusiasm over game knowledge.
Hopefully Khaldor will prove me wrong and - together with Wolf - supply insights at a high level.
You're "horribly excited"? Rofl made me fall off y chair literally. :D Does this mean you'll be casting in English? You casting was my way off learning German whilst watching SC2. Bah!
Oh my god great, great news!!!!!!!!!!! Go Khaldor, you deserved it dude, show em some kickass casting!
I have one question tho, will you be allowed to chug down those beers while casting in Mok-dong Studio? :D A Khaldor cast without beers will be different
Just kidding, keep up the great work, one of your biggest fans here since Assembly Winter!
excellent news - you are one of the better casters out there - il never forget you at dreamhack with mana , the best casting i have EVER seen. the breaks were hilarious - congrats! you deserve it.
It has been awesome following your casts through different tournaments and showmatches. I think it speaks volumes for a caster when he develops a viewer base that cannot even understand the language, as evidenced by the casts from Assembly where a ton of non-German speaking viewers would follow Khaldor's casting just for the enthusiasm and the intensity.
Really happy to see you cast some Code A. With HerO qualifying, the foreign presence and Khaldor casting, it is hard to imagine better reasons to buy the season sub and follow closely.

I haven't been a fan of your casting so far (probably because of the accent), so I can't say that I am excited, even though you got quite a reputation and shit loads of dedication. Hopefully you can turn me around and be a pleasant surprise. Good luck, and congratulations on the job nonetheless.
hope u can get some wildfire while in korea and hopefully u can find some opportunities to continue to work out...you sexy beast (I heard fitness studios are expensive in Asia)
I remember watching you cast in German, and you were already one of my favorite casters (I barely speak any German). Can't wait for Code A with Khaldor.
Brilliant, Khaldor is such an awesome caster, really funny and very good game knowledge. Really happy to hear this - and btw, coming from a Brit - I can understand everything you say fine!
Realy happy about this, congrats Khaldor. Was debating if it was worth buying the next season of GSL as i only watch the Tastosis casted games, but now i definatly will do my favourite caster after them.
On September 04 2011 08:33 Flanq wrote: As long as they make Wolf a permanent half of the 2 casters, i don't care who casts with him, Wolf is really good.
Wolf is great, but Moletrap ruins it. Moletrap is only good when he's by himself, if you put him with anyone else it ruins it.
Wolf + Doa? Great Wolf + Khaldor? I'm sure it'll be amazing Wolf + Kelly? I'm sure that would be a great combo too. Wolf + Moletrap? Ewww, no thanks.
If there's a German stream then wow, great! GOMTV slowly starting to truly growing to GLOBAL starleague! Even if he casts in English, it's still awesome, Khaldor is a great English commentator as well! Gratz!
I don't get how so many people can hate on Moletrap but say they enjoy Khaldor. Don't really get to see to much of Khaldor, maybe him casting for GOM will turn me into a fan.
Khaldor and Wolf are going to be so close in quality to Tastosis. Great work GOM signing up such a hero.
I don't mean to be mean but I hope Moletrap goes inactive for a while or goes and casts some smaller tourneys so he can stop interrupting his co-casters -_-
YES. Holy shit Korea really is the place to go, for casters and players.
Code A will be even more awesome than it already is.

He is and always be one of the best solo casters though.
It's incredible how many people use this occasion to take a shit on another caster - "I like this caster, so your caster is crap". If you're happy that Khaldor is going, awesome - I know I am. But I'm just getting sick and tired of so many posters in here feeling like they have demonstrate their favorism towards a given caster, by shitting on another.
It's fucking pre-school argumentation - Khaldor is going, lets all be happy about it. And get some fucking respect for the people that actually has their face and life dedicated to this, instead of trowing shit whilst sitting comfortably hidden behind your screen.
Sorry for venting
Big congratz Khaldor - Loved your stream in Copenhagen, I think I was lauging 30 minutes straight when we got the image-macroes going in your thread and you showed them on stream o/
I usually prefer hearing you cast over english casters, even though my school-german is getting abit rusty, you have an awesome energy that I think will do very well in the GSL
Yay Khaldor! Really enjoy your casting and you bring excitement with your enthusiasm a lot of casters lack. Really looking forward to seeing how you do! Best of luck! <3
On September 04 2011 09:35 Loodah wrote:And also I prefer listening to casters with english or American accents when speaking English. Are you going to be casting in German or English?
I'd be very, very surprised if he casted in German (though I would still watch. Khaldor casting in German is amazing).
Omg im so excited for this! Will you be casting starting shortly after you get there? Or will you have to wait another season? Either or im really excited about it!!

I also was on the fence about supporting the sport that i love, but then i realized that i'm not a selfish arrogant prick and forked over the 10 dollars For the record, I don't know why I quoted this guy
Awesome! I've seen/heard buggar all of your work (maybe NASL i think?) because all i watch is GSL pretty much, so i look forward to seeing you in action!
I don't understand all the hate. Doa+Moletrap are easily the best combo for me. They worked well together from day 1. Khaldor is different from all three Code A casters though, and even from Tasteless & Artosis. It will be interesting to see how he fits in. GL, everyone!
Oh and he's going to have to cast in English, so the biggest vice of his casting, which to me was his tendency to use crude language (in German), won't be seen as much.

A lot of people are not hating. Not on the Code A casters... Not on Khaldor... But if things aren't super duper epic (Tastosis) it's always nice to get some refreshing news... I welcome this very much - eventhough I enjoy DoA, Wolf and Moletrap alot
You are one of the rare people that can make regular people take E-sports seriously. Am I allowed to call you also the Biceps of E-Sports? (Though you are much more than that )

Yeah they used to cast a lot more but honestly the casting was A LOT worse when they did because they were casting soooo much it started to wear them down. Honestly its better that they just Cast Code S and some GSTL games.
Dude, i remember listening to your germany cast instead of English cast for assembly. I didn't understand a work you said but HOLY SHIT it was a blast, I was so damn excited.
I almost like your cast as much as Day9's, who is absolutely my favorite caster, but you casting with day9 was freaking AMAZING.
there's 2 things i really like about this guy. first, he always seems to have a lot of energy and can channel that into his casts quite well, like korean casters. second, he cares about the fans and in a lot of his casts he just goes through the tl thread and responds to all the posts. good luck khaldor!!
Wow.... quite a lot of posts over night :D Thank's for all the support once again!
To all the germans that are worried I won't be uploading or casting any german games while I'm gone: I'm actually planning on dualcasting via Skype with some german casters while I'm in Korea. The Gom-Cast will obviously be in english though.
Besides that I can only emphasize on how much I'm looking forward to cast with the current casterteam of GOM! I don't think you guys need to be worried that I don't harmonize with a code caster, I think I've proved the opposite while casting with players like iNSoLeNCe, Mana or for example Bumblebee I'm pretty sure we'll work it out. DoA already sent me a PM on TL in order to help me get started when preparing for the trip which I'm really thankful for.
Right now I'm just excited about going and I really hope the visa will be granted soon, although I was already told by Trevor that it may take some time. Korean visas are a little bit harder to get that I imagined, especially if one plans on working there for some time
i like him better than wolf, moletrap and doa, so I guess it's nice. good that he only will cast in english, because I can't stand his german casts at all. but we'll see how it turns out.

Khaldor's english is very good, you probably didn't see his recent vids but he's very pleasing to watch, GL with the application Khaldor! Hope to see you casting Code A.
Congratulations dude; I know how much work goes into commentary, and to finally get to go out there and do it must be an amazing feeling. Can't wait to see you on my screen.
Gratz Khaldor! GL in korea! I really missed your stream much since you're a very entertaining caster, you bring so much energy in those commentaries, hope you do this still at GOMTV, will be nice to see you there!
Khaldor does not take shit from anyone and does not let others get away with pushing him to the side. Will be fun to watch him and Moletrap who has a strong habbit of pushing is partner to the side. You know what happened when Moltrap would come to the studio all beaten up.

I'd be surprised if you even watch GomTv.net clearly you haven't heard him Casting SC2 he is a rather poor caster.
I'd take kelly milkies back casting over Mole Trap.
Hopefully Khaldor Was hired to Replace MoleTrap.. One can only hope.

Lol that would be Golden if MoleTrap casts with Khaldor and MoleTraps afraid to interrupt/speak over the co-caster like he always does..
Anyways hoping Khaldor is the replacement to MoleTrap
i was already asking myself, how long it would take for another German to contribute to the GSL. This isn't quite the way i thought of, but anyway, Khaldor whaightiiiing <3 :D
if you ask me Khaldor has all the qualify to be successful, but then i cant see the future so... i will just hope that he will do well i mean, honestly Khaldor is better commentator than Day9 so i dont see why he shouldnt do well in Korea
Congratulations Khaldor, you've always been one of my favorite casters to watch and it's really cool that you'll get to cast the GSL. Now all you have to do is get Wildfire to pitch in as a GOMtv sponsor.
Thats so awesome man, germany represent! Was just talking with a random wc3 semi-pro about your casting, good times Lots of luck man, you're living the nerds dream :D
Finally! I was almost sure you'll get the job since the day you announced that you sent the application to GOMTV. And now, we - your fans - can cheer for you casting GSL! I am looking forward to seeing it!
nice! this is awesome! your german casting reinspired me to learn german and your english casting is also great! i just hope you'll continue to stream in both languages.
The question is, will Khaldor ship a crate of that drink he always drinks or air or will he have to settle for pocari sweat now (or pepsi since that's the sponsor)?!

And you would have said it was good?
Suddenly a LOT more of the opinions I read about casters make sense to me.
Is it really ? Austria to ? Shysh gotta tell Arnold he can come back home safely :D
I seriously hoped someone joked that he's gonna cast gsl now but aparently it wasnt a joke. First fatty, then some french baguette man, and after some little homo now SCOOTER lookalike GEEEEEESL........
Dunno, I do have my hopes up for GOM adding some casters to cast in foreign languages. DoA, Moletrap and Wolf are already there to cast full-time, so there isn't much need for another english caster.
wohooo, great stuff eventhough i am starting to like Doa and Wolfs casting duo (and i thought the casting tripple with Moletrap was pretty interesting aswell), i am looking forward to seeing khaldor cast!
to haters at the top of the page: I believe his english is very decent, and i hate listening to a german accent...
Good luck up there in Korea Khaldor, and i loved the work you did with day[9] Hope you can get along with the other Casters and maybe you can get us some special german coverage of things
How many moletraps can Khaldor benchpress, while observing and casting a game at the same time? ^^" just kidding, regarding my previous post about non-english commentators for GOM, is GOM still unviewable from china? because I'd think that would be the first language one would think of, if one wants to add a non-english commentator for the non-Koreans.

I don't mean to sound anti American, but there are quite a few Americans who just cant understand anyone from outside their own country. Sad but true, and ofc I am not being racist as there are also alot who can understand Khaldor perfectly. But there is a vocal minority. Unfortunately those people also seem to like DoA and Moletrap, who still spend more time talking about tech decks, what they ate for lunch and other completely unrelated topics. It maybe a game they are talking about but tbh I expect a level of professionalism when I am watching something I pay to have the privilege to see. Good Luck Khaldor, I look forward to seeing you in Code A and the team league!
^ I don't think it's an issue of being American. It is an issue of not speaking any other language. It greatly affects your understanding of your own language if you do happen to do so.
I'm not a native English speaker, but I have absolutely no problem understanding Kelly, Khaldor, MrChae or whoever.

Actually he rarely drinks beer on casts, it just looks like a bottle of beer, but it is an energydrink with applejuice or something like that, called wildfire: http://www.ueberlebe.de/
DUDE GO GO GO, I like your commentary with just the right amount of jokes. Just need a casting buddy that compliments your style very well. I'm sure GOMTV will help get a good compliment. Grats man.
Fantastic Khaldor! I am so happy for you, since you are a very good caster indeed, and the experience you will gain in Korea will build you not only as a person, but as well as a caster. Thanks for all the great work that you have done for the StarCraft community so far and may you have a great future!
Awesome news Khaldor. I've loved listening to your casts, even in German when I just try to follow the tone and speed of your voice as the match progresses. Hope you have fun in Korea and can cast a bit in German.
This is great. Sometime I have trouble understanding him, but it's nothing frequent (or like Kelly). He's got a lot of passion though, and totally deserves this.

I like Khaldor, because he has a different approach to casting. The most GSL caster have the same style. They are not bad, but a more qualm guy can benefit the casts I think. Ah
And plz bring snowbird an augustiner and a tegernseer (i think he ordered augustiner already)
Well it's not actually beer but kind of an energy drink They don't sell the stuff in Korea but if you are willing to supply with beer while I'm casting I won't object highly doubt it though ^^
I just hope with so many english code A casters GOM can still decently pay them. I'd rather have 2 Code A casters make a good living there then 5 casters just rotating because they can't afford to stay there long term.
That being said, I hope that even then those 2 Code A casters would be Wolf and Khaldor ♥
I've been a huge fan ever since you casted Assembly winter 2010 and the english casters were so horrible i actually watched the whole event with german casting (I do not speak german, not even one tiny bit). So, naturally, this really excites me! I will tune in every day you cast.
Well, Korea is where the highest skill level is shown in games. I hope Khaldor has got the game knowledge to deliver, otherwise he'll be receiving the biggest shitstorm ever. From a personality perspective he'll certainly be one of the best four english speaking commentators in korea.

Posted some updates on my facebook but didnt update this thread, sorry for that.
good news! GL and I can't wait to see how koreans react to you there
I seriously doubt that *lol* But you seem to have a lot of faith in my ^^
I still prefer PvP when it comes down to mirror matches. TvT CAN BE pretty exciting but I still dread those tank/viking games that last for ages without anything happening at all

Why would you bump this post? Seriously. Khaldor has been at the GSL for a while now, Doa went back to the States to work with IGN, and Moletrap and Wolf are still casting.
If you can dig deep enough to find this thread, I'm sure you came across all the other information.
