Grats to Fenix! Never believed in you before but you proved me wrong. Hope you do well.

Pretty sure sase will be the next to get picked up, im pretty sure sure hes the only one in the top 30 of GM korea without a team.

HuK was on Liquid
/sniffle
Excuse me for a second /cry in corner
Yeah it's not uncommon for people to snatch players from other teams, and usually it causes waay too much controversy (PuMa?)

Fnatic drops Fenix then gets picked up to IM i wonder who got the better end of the deal? lol
IMfenix FIGHTING!

I wouldn't be surprised if some teams attempt to poach Tzain. At least 90% of SlayerS has a crush on him. And as that old folks song goes, what BoxeR wants BoxeR gets.
(Not saying he would leave, I'm just saying he will probably get offers)

IMO you cannot compare a small western team like mouz (yea, sorry, that's what they are in comparison, I know for us they are one of the biggest. But that's still bs compared to Korea) with a real progaming team like IM.
However you're all right about Thorzain if he doesn't want to stay it's very unlikely for him to be picked up, I didn't know about that. I also never said that SaSe wouldn't deserve it but I just don't think so. Even Nani would make more sense from there POV honestly...

Maybe it was planned all along, but the timing of the pseudo-announcement had to coincide with the ending of GSTL. Fnatic said in a press release they let him go because he wasnt "quite at the level".That made fnatic the only team i hate in esports, glad sen left too. ROFL really? Fnatic said that? Wooow, I don't mean to be hatin' but what player has Fnatic got now that IS "at the level"? Because judging by todays play, i'm pretty sure Fenix is (currently) better than Kawaii, TT1 NightEnd and... lefNaij? Really? Didn't know he played SC2. Cool I guess. Oh I guess there's Rain, but it still seems weird to kick a player because he wasn't *quite* as good as the one guy they snatched (not meant in a negative way) from Korea. I have to be missing something here :S I think it was something like that, that he "hadn't been producing the results of a fnatic player" or something like that, which is pretty funny since no one else on their roster except Rain has achieved much, and Rain would certainly struggle with him right now. It is true to some extent, before his GSTL fame, Fenix didn't really show any results other than his top 16 MLG finish and IEM qualifiers?
Well and what did the other fnatic guys win that make them that much better then Fenix ?

OK, translation of TIG article is here for your enjoyment. There are actually a few extra gems in there other than the straight-up Fenix to IM news, so you are encouraged to read the full translation (especially the last 2 paragraphs!).
Peruvian terran Jian Carlo Morayra (IM, hereafter Fenix) has joined IM. [T/N: It is Korean practice to list a person's team/club after his name in parentheses]
IM's head coach Kang Dong-hoon announced Fenix's signing immediately after the F.United-oGs GSTL match. Fenix has been playing without a team after his contract with Fnatic ended recently.
Fenix appeared in the GSTL match wearing a Googims Company (IM's uniform sponsor) shirt. While it was not IM's official uniform it shared the same design. The secret behind his outfit was none other than "joining IM".
IM's head coach said "Fenix recently entered our team house and saw he was all right after watching him practice. I rate his willingness to learn, high level of understanding of what he is being taught and the fact he constantly analyzes replays very highly. Also, he really wanted to join IM."
The effect of joining IM was profound. In the match against oGs, he defeated Luvsic and TheSTC to claim 2 kills [T/N: In spite of what the article said above, the article itself was posted before the match actually finished]. Not only did he achieve a good result but his actual match performance was also outstanding. He demonstrated greatly improved skill in only a few days. [T/N: The few days since entering the IM team house]
Head coach Kang Dong-hoon intends to use Fenix as the spearhead for IM's expansion into the foreign arena. "By training Fenix heavily and consistently entering him into foreign tournaments we will make the IM brand more well known. We will operate a foreign expeditionary squad consisting of NesTea-Mvp-LosirA-Fenix." [T/N: MOAR IM PLAYERS ESPECIALLY NESTEA IN FOREIGN TOURNAMENTS WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT]
In other news, IM's head coach is also considering signing players from Europe/North America and supposedly is actually in contact with such a player. [T/N: WHO COULD IT BE?????]

Fenix has a lot of potential. If you watch his games his tactics are one of the best. It is his unrefined gameplay that has been holding him back. That is why his TvT is his monster matchup. He can take a series from anyone in TvT. You'll see a drastical improvement now he is in an optimal training envioroment
IM.Fenix Hwaiting!

I was hoping that would be Sase tt : (

Grats to Fenix! First foreigner in a Korean team in SC2, congratulations to both parties, and good luck in the future! :D

omg NesTea, MVP, LosirA, AND Fenix in foreign tournaments. I think that I might have a new favorite team!

Holy crap, that's huge. He'll be able to improve so insanely playing with IM.

What part did you misinterprete? I said they're one of the biggest for us (= foreigners). And that they're still nothing compared to a Korean pro team. Look above, its all in the post you quoted but failed to read proper as it seems?
edit: @ imonahorse: might be true, I'm not totally sure about that tho but IM has a good sponsor, haven't they? :o
