Didn't Torch join ST? Torch isn't actually a good player though. He wasn't very good even when he made it into a GSL Open. He only does media and PR. It was my understanding that he left StarTale quite a while ago.

Woooooooooooot!!? This could be the start of something truly truly TRULY great!

IMO you cannot compare a small western team like mouz (yea, sorry, that's what they are in comparison, I know for us they are one of the biggest. But that's still bs compared to Korea) with real progaming team like IM. However you're all right about Thorzain if he doesn't want to stay it's very unlikely for him to be picked up, I didn't know about that. I also never said that SaSe wouldn't deserve it but I just don't think so. Even Nani would make more sense from there POV honestly... korean starcraft 2 pro teams are financially nowhere near their BW counterparts tho
I think it's more beneficial for a foreigner to train in a true pro team and get paid less then on a foreign team unless they have good practise environment like the EG house . Besides you don't know how much IM are sponsored . They are 1 of the best if not the best team in Korea with Nestea and MVP ranked 1 and 2 in GSL , they also have other amazing players like Losira , Yoda , Yonghwa so they certainly have some kind of sponsors .

The IM tag goes well with pretty much any ID . . . Such a good team lol (-: Much congrats must go out to Fenix, I can only imagine how much nerd blood he will start spilling on the floor of the GOMtv Studios from now on . . .
|
Wow this is huge, good luck to him !
|
Hope he can deliver some results in the future. Good luck Fenix, hope you enjoy!

I read "foreign expeditionary squad" as "foreign hit squad" and then proceeded to shit my pants.
Happy for Fenix. Though he hasn't been the best I've been a fan of him since he torched 26 of Tyler's probes in less than 4 seconds. Dear to my heart, that game.

First foreigner signed by a Korean on SC2 I think. Great for him. I think he'll learn a lot training with MVP.
|
Yay! Awesome news, Fenix has improved so much is so little time.
|
IM will become the EG of the Korean scene, their next acquisition will be Nada who dropped the ball after beating Puma (IM NADA).
|
"Also, he really wanted to join IM" made me laugh for some reason :-p "Foreign expeditionary squad" also sounds incredibly badass.
Great news for Fenix, I'm glad he's staying in Korea, and training with IM is obviously huge. He played a lot better than I expected at first and looked pretty good today, I'm really excited to see how good he can get if he keeps up the hard work.
Grats Fenix and IM!

My first post! :D translation:
Peru terran Jean Carlo Moreira (IM, ID:Fenix) joined IM.
On September 1st, IM's head coach Kang Dong-Hoon revealed that Fenix joined IM immediately after the GSTL match between F.United and oGs. Fenix was a free agent for a while after his contract with fnatic ended not too long ago.
Today, Fenix competed in the GSTL while wearing a shirt with a Googim's Company(IM's sponser) logo on it. Even though Fenix was not wearing the official IM uniform, the shirt had similar designs in color and style. The meaning behind the shirt was 'joined IM'.
IM headcoach Kang Dong Hoon stated that '(Fenix) joined the practice house a few days ago and I thought it was a good fit watching him practice with the team.' He also mentioned that Fenix has a great understanding when it comes to learning and sharing ideas, and Fenix's habit of constantly rewatching replays gave the him a good impression. Fenix really wanted to join IM.
The effect of joining IM was great. Fenix managed to 3 kill in the final match against oGs. Not only was the 3 kill great, but the context of the matches was impressive as well. He showed incredible skills in only a few days.
The IM coach is planning on using Fenix in foreign tournaments from now on. He said, 'While constantly sending Fenix abroad to compete in foreign tournaments, we will make the IM team known all around the world. IM will make an expedition group that consists of IMNestea, IMMvP, IMLosira, and IMFenix to compete in foreign tournaments.'
Meanwhile, the IM coach is currently considering to recruit North American and European progamers in addition to IMFenix, and it is revealed that the IM coach is pursuing a progamer right now.
Edit: ah... too late

Just look at Lebron James (I know it's basketball) he joined Miami Heat and took a pay cut along with Bosh and Wade. Basically I'm saying even though a foreign team may have a lot of money for example Evil Genius team, joining a top tier Korean team would give better practice partners. Only problem is the language barrier >,< I would think
