In retrospect, it is completely understandable that he didn't receive a season 1 invitation, as he didn't become a big name in the scene (esp in North America) until his amazing run through TSL 3 which for the most part happened after player selection and the opening of NASL S1. Correct -- Thorzain qualified for NASL but declined to participate because he's in Korea and didn't want to play at 2-4am

NASL wrote: The other is that they are all representing Germany, arguably the strongest Starcraft 2 country outside of Korea. yeah sure... lol I know it's for marketing purposes and so on but still, I'm not a fan of all these exaggerations, meh. I'm happy for Hasu, Socke and DF, although it's not really surprising they did get invited and they surely deserve it. I have my doubts about TLO though. He's famous and got quite a fanbase (mostly around people from the US, who don't follow the EU scene closely it seems) but skillwise right now he's surely behind Goody (and not only him) and has yet to proof that he can once again compete at the highest level. He hasn't shown any results in months. I know about his injury, but Demuslim didn't get invited in season 1 because he was injured, so his wrists are not an excuse in this case. But yeah, TLO's not the worst player that got invited already, so i guess it's fine. :/ No srsly (especially looking at the playerlist so far), NASL without the Panzergeneral would be ridiculous. Same obviously is true about Stephano, Nerchio etc, but I'm still confident they'll get an invite. NASL can't be that ignorant, right? Right?!

Or is that the complete list? they will release 5 a day it seems if you look at their site. if they are having 45 players this season then there will be 9 days of announcements. So was anyone else watching destinys stream last night and heard him say he got invited to a very big turny? destiny to nasl???? *crossing fingers*

TLO DF Socke and Hasu are all returning from last season - they didn't get re-invited, they were already guaranteed spots based on their performance in Season 1. EDIT: On the other hand Goody got removed based on his performance, so they would have to reinvite him if he was to return.

I'm talking about the general issue in SC2 and with NASL specifically that players do not get tournament invites based on their actual skill. And I'd obviously like NASL to be a tournament where "some of the best players" compete as I think they advertised it in Season 1, not just some somewhat good or ok guys.

I'll explain Haypro when you can explain while everyone returning from NASL season 1 has playoffs next to their names except INControl and strelok (strelok had a much better record IIRC).

I think strelok was unable to attend the final due to visa issues, and was ranked nr 3 in the regular season. incontrol got ranked 32 in the standings with a score of 4-5 (-4 win/loss). In the format the top 2 from each group advances to the finals (meaning 10 players), then the next 20 playes with the highest ranks has playoffs where 5 more are sent to the finals. Finally NASL kicks the bottom 16 down to the qualifying tournament. That leaves 4 players in the position 31-34 which qualify for the next season but don't have a shot at the finals. incontrol is one of them. The other playes would have been BratOK, Ensnare and moonglade. TL;DR incontrol was not invited. he qualified for season 2 through season 1 preformance and would have been in there even without the koreans leaving.

PS: and I don't mean this to be a dick to you inka I just hope NASL will do things the right way for season 3... Was one win from qualifying in the ro16 versus tsl_alive whom at the time was top 10 on Korean ladder forba while. I understand that I haven't produced many big results lately and there would be better choices if they were choosing players purely by invite. I haven't been as active as I need to be lately due to a lot of personal things that I've had to take care of. I will be putting all my effort into NASL and I will not disappoint. I know a lot of you know very little about me but I'd like affair chance. I'm going to give it my all and I hope that I can get support from the community while doing it.
