Maybe NASL couldn't feasibly rerun the tournament, or open up registrations again. If I were NASL I would probably have opted for the latter since more people would likely register now that they won't get crushed by Koreans Yeah I agree with that last part. But still don't agree with the ripped off part. The previous tournament prize was clear, top 8 = qualified. Desrow didn't make it so he didn't get an invite. However, I understand that he feels that the current invited players do not deserve to be in the NASL more than he does, and that a new tournament is a correcter way to select the new players. But Desrow didn't get ripped off because he paid to be in the first tournament. At least that is how I see it. And to conclude, I somewhat agree with Desrow but NASL is in charge and that is it. NASL could have organized a new tournament. It has been more than 10 days since the Koreans decided not to show up, and that is more than enough time to organize a new tournament. But maybe there were schedule conflicts and/or people who are in vacation. Who knows? I feel that the NASL is not to blame for this one.

You also have to take into account of booking the venue ahead of time and the fact that you cannot simply change those dates after the paperwork has been signed etc etc

NASL then just invited players who they wanted. Doesn't seem fair on players trying to make a name for themselves when the more populars are just prioritised THERE YA GO someone with a bit of sense :D

You also have to take into account of booking the venue ahead of time and the fact that you cannot simply change those dates after the paperwork has been signed etc etc your simply giving NASL an easy way out for their excuse.

I think Desrow has every right to complain if he paid money and participated in that tournament Randomly inviting people? 1) The only person who is in NASL now that didn't play a qualifier was HuK. If you think he's not one of the top players and should be in the league you're out of your mind. 2) We didn't even invite HuK, his team petitioned us to put him in. I didn't see anyone emailing me to get desrow in, nor did he even contact me himself. Believe it or not, players need to make an effort sometimes, or have teams that care enough about their players to make an effort for them. desrow apparently has neither, so I feel bad for him. 3) Other players we have in the league such as iNkA were 1 round away from qualifying. desrow lost in the first round of the open tournament to a foreigner, and lost in the second round of the 2nd tournament to a Korean (after getting a free win against a foreigner round 1). So, congrats to desrow for winning 0 rounds in 2 NASL qualifying tournaments and expecting favors? In what way would desrow have deserved a spot in the league given that he couldn't even beat a foreigner who only got to round 2 of the open tournament (losing to another foreigner). Even the worst player in NASL Season 1 won games... What I mean by this is; since we don't have time to host another qualifier, and we had to add people from previous qualifiers or Season 1, desrow didn't do ANYTHING to warrant any consideration. 4) Other players who are back in the league were pretty close to making it back anyway (I.E. Tyler who was 1 spot away), or have nice accomplishments since then that warrant their coming back (I.E. Qxc who all killed IM and has been training in Korea for months). This random hate is really silly, floor exercise. But really, thanks for all the incredibly accurate information you seem to know. desrow, I'm sorry you feel sleighted. You had 2 chances to qualify, you didn't. You will have more opportunities for season 3. Thanks for your concern though!

I don't even know who desrow is I can just see his side in all of this. The question is, does it matter where people placed in a qualifier tournament if it it's almost completely invalidated by the decisions made by NASL? What kind of confidence does that give players the next time you charge money for a qualifier and some unusual circumstance arises that gives you leave to say "welp, this guy's team petitioned him, this guy is cool, gotta have Nony up in here too" it's all Korea's fault anyway so who cares right

Well, Tyler did finish better in the group stages, but you cannot really compare that since it was not the same group and one group might be harder than the other.

You're giving out all sorts of justifications for inviting players beyond the order that they placed in the qualifier tournament. It's your tournament and you can do what you want with it. You're right though, there is nothing random about your selection process. It's obviously all very calculated. But that doesn't necessarily make it fair to those who paid money to take part in a qualifier. I do find it strange you take such exception to my using the term random when you throw out that I'm "randomly hating" I don't even know who desrow is I can just see his side in all of this. The only choice we made "arbitrarily" was HuK. The other people we took were from qualifiers or from season 1. For example, we created a backup list of players of Season 1 people and sent it to them in case players dropped out of Season 2. It just so happens that we lost a ton of players and had to utilize that backup. The rest of the players were taken from qualifiers (except HuK). There's very little about this process that was arbitrary. If you take the explanations on the NASL site as literal, then I don't know what to tell you. If I say that I had the best hamburger in the world yesterday, it doesn't actually mean it was the best hamburger in the world. If an advertisement says that Panda Express is "gourmet" Chinese food, it doesnt mean that it's actually gourmet. It's an ad... ads are supposed to make the product look good. A news post talking about a player in the NASL is supposed to make them look good. What do you want me to say "we randomly chose Tyler even tho hes a newb" ? Sorry if that's what you think -- I'm going to stop arguing with you now because we clearly have different views ![]()

What about vvv time who was 1 round away also? I know I did poor in the first one and losing 1-2 to ogsvines is not bad but there are other cases that are just outrageous. Onebubbles is another example. Thanks for being a total dick to me when I'm just trying to question your methods and make the community aware of how shady you are and how badly you are handling the fact that the entire korean community bailed on you. Good luck at stealing seats this week end, I already have my pop corn ready on Monday and will be happily spamming f5 on reddit.

Honestly considering how bitter you sound, these are extremely good reasons to be a total dick to you. Also, are people really arguing that they're inviting players based on who they like (which isn't actually entirely the case) after their entire season 1 was based exactly on that?
