For starters, they are both the most populous cities in their respective nations, both serve as financial hubs, with an amazing selection of places to eat... both cities are multi cultural.... heck Toronto used to be called "york" some more similarities: new york has central park, toronto has high park... i can find a lot more simlarities than differences between the two ports... staten island ferry = toronto island ferry our entertainment sector compares to new york.... seriously i dunno what this guys going on about when he says "they are NOTHING alike" wake up bud... i was born in toronto, spent the better part of my life here, and yes, i've been to new york numerous times. the few differences that i seen: NYC's transit system is better than Toronto's, mainly because it runs 24 hours a day. It's crazy there, they have a museum for everything lol.. The way I see it, Toronto is like New York, just a little behind in every category, but not that far. Just like in New York, if you have the money, you can get anything you want in Toronto, from the finest of hookers to the most potent of herbs. I have a good friend in Brooklyn, and he's seeing a girl here in Toronto.. He tells me that he likes Toronto more, so I guess it's like they say, the grass is always greener on the other side. Lol no. Don't even insult New York by comparing it to Toronto. As a Canadian, I can say that New York is definitely a different place entirely. It's a way better city, a lot more fun, way better nightlife, WAY better food and truly the center of finance. When you think "Financial Hubs", you think New York, London, Tokyo, and MAYBE Hong Kong / Shanghai. Toronto never comes up, sorry. Finance in Canada is where you go if you want to kill your finance career. Toronto is "just another big city" if you can even call it that, with 5M people in the GTA compared to 16-18M in New York and surrounding boroughs.

Yes, you think that otherwise you probably wouldn't plan to live there much longer brother. I live in KTown and it's pretty nice and quiet. And Montreal's a good place to be, but an awful place to drive in. <3
