That leaves 8 more spot for the Championship Bracket. Is it safe to assume that top 8 from last season will get in?

Are the 8 invites only Koreans, or are you inviting other players as well?

And no I don't think so. CatsPajamas said they are inviting koreans.

But they will almost definitely invite white-ra/idra (season 1/2 winners).

Another event where half the bracket gets a huge advantage by being invited, then everyone flies in the day before, takes drugs to stay awake, and plays without being able to prepare. I await the day when SC2 outgrows this phase.

Only 8 players get invited. Another 8 have to qualify and earn it by playing the online qualifiers. The other 16 will have to qualify in person.

The finals of IPL2 already revealed who will return for 3... unless they forgot or changed their minds...

Wow, this is big! I'm really looking forward to it. The prize pool will attract the top sc2 players especially with all the perks for qualifier winners. And with IGN/IPL behind this, I’m sure it will have top notch production value and not be as amateurish as some other leagues out there. I really enjoyed watching IPL2 (despite the confusing schedule). Can’t wait IPL3!

I really like the flat payout structure IGN uses. Using steep payout structures is just screaming for attention, while this actually makes pursuing ones passion for gaming on a competative/professional level more sustainable for more people.
