As far as foreign scene goes, TL has been by and far the most successful team since release until today. It's absurd to even argue otherwise, as no other team gets even close when it comes to major LAN tournament wins and high ranks. TL is also the only foreign team to be represented in GSL (+ regular Code S) consistently since GSL Open 1 until several days ago.
Yeah there was a slump for 4-5 months, but that's not nearly enough for other foreign teams to catch up.

well that is cool huk and idra will get even better training alongside puma!

I don't think it is bad that people being emotional after a big transfer like this one. It is like Messi moving from Barcelona (TL) to Real Madrid (EG), of course the fan of Barca would be emotional

I've only read the OP - but I really don't get EG at all right now. Didn't they just get a huge fucking house in arizona(?) or some shit for their gamers? Now they're sending their BEST to korea instead of having them practice with the others on the team? I obviously don't know all of the specifics but, really.
I don't get it EG.

Huk downgrading, but money is money

Change is always good for the environment, much better than things going still and stale. I understand getting upset over a transfer like this though.

Yeah, HuK is "downgrading" as he receives life-changing money that will allow him to do what he wants -- very comfortably -- for a living. Total downgrade.

is he going to staty in korea yet again? Idra keeps getting bad advice from Artosis:
"Pick zerg, they're the best" "Go back to the states, you'll get rich!"

Hey, at least to me, it's nice to see that a change like this can cause reactions similiar to players moving around in other sports.

Well, other than being very saddened about this, I have a question: this means HuK can no longer compete in the GSTL with oGs, right?

One question, since puma is signed to EG and EG at this second in time doesn't have a Korean house is puma able to get the code A slots from MLG?

Now Jinro is, I believe, Code B (correct me if I'm wrong), and HuK is on EG. So really I find it hard to call TeamLiquid a powerful team.

Idra lived in korea for over 3 years, not 1-2 months.

Uhhh, you basically just said the same thing he did. Yes huk is receiving more money, but no one can deny he is downgrading his practice environment. Your kidding yourself if you think practicing with Idra and Puma, will benifit huk in anywhere near the same way as practicing with the OGS house.
He doesnt even have another protoss to discuss strategies with.
Even with puma at IEM i could tell he hasnt kept up in skill at IEM (sure he is still an amazing player who can get to the finals) but 2 months ago when he was still practicing hardcore with TSL i highly doubt someone like mana could have taken him out 2-0, especially when he took out mc in a best of 7 (i dont think anyone will tell you that mana is a better player then mc).
I dont think puma will stand a chance against mc in the finals, MC has been practicing hardcore in a team house for the past 2 months, whereas puma has been practicing (more or less) like a foreigner (online with a few practice partners). In a few months puma will be pretty irelevant at any tournament where a korean shows up, is my best guess. Same with huk. Unless of course EG is planning on recruiting a whole korean team for their training facility, wich is highly unlikely.

he moved out of korea few months ago, but not "nearly year ago". Hell, even sc2 has barely been year out!
