Today we would like to announce the addition of two players to the roster of Team Reign.
To begin, we are very excited to have signed Jo “Artist” Min Ho. Formerly a member of the team fOu, Artist has spent most of the new season dominating the NA ladder at rank 1 with a winrate over 83%. He was semi-pro in Brood War, and as a long standing member of fOu, he has lived and trained in the fOu team house.
First of all, I appreciate Team Reign recruiting me. I want to go to USA to play tournaments as soon as possible. Also, I want to show my gameplay to the fans. It’s a pleasure to meet you all.
Jo "Artist" Min Ho
Like the other members of Team Reign, Artist will be living and training in our team house. Additionally, we are honored to assist him in continuing his academic studies in America. We fully support our players’ goals outside of StarCraft and admire Artist’s initiative and motivation to master English and other disciplines.
Finally, completing our VT reunion tour (that’s a joke), we have also signed Andrew “giX” Benson to Team Reign. Previously a member of VT Gaming, giX was part of the CES champion Indiana University team and has repeatedly won or finished highly in weekly online events. He recently qualified for WCG by defeating Huk 3-2 in the finals.
I am looking forward becoming a part of Reign. It has been a dream of mine to live and train in a professional setting with like minded individuals. I am truly excited to see what will unfold.
Andy "giX" Benson
When Reign was first announced to VT Gaming, we made it clear that players who wanted to step up their efforts would be welcome on Team Reign. Though VT was dissolved in the aftermath of the announcement, we were willing to honor our original intention to players who showed they were dedicated enough to train in our team house. In the past month, giX has done just that and now we welcome him to Team Reign.
As we mentioned in our earliest release, for those who were wondering, Artist is one of the two previously unannounced players. We still have one additional player left to complete the Team Reign roster, who we will announce at a later date.
The reign line up is looking really strong now, i'm excited to see their results at the upcoming MLG, I wonder if Artist will be in USA in time for Raleigh.
Gratz to giX, haven't seen much of Artist but with more koreans joining foreigner teams and getting opportunities to play in MLG it will be overall better for the scene.

Badass that you still have someone new to announce later on! It's teams like this and It's Gosu, gonna start making better known teams fall into obscurity, such a diverse and talented lineup.
Awesome pick up for Reign! I actually just posted up a commentary of the newest Liquid member HerO and one of the newest Reign members Artist. You guys should check out this epic PvT on Shakuras Plateau if you haven't seen either of these players before! ^^
I just watched Psy play Spades on his stream, first time I've ever seen him play. While he may have lost that game, he's a really good, and clearly very smart player. Looking forward to seeing this team (and their new recruits) in competition!

He improved a lot I easily smashed him in games a few months ago, then he knocked me out of like 3 tournaments in a row recently o.o

nice always good to see another zerg in the mix and even i have to admit they needed atleast one more terran just for variety. nice to have a korean again and hope to see all the new faces in a clan war pretty soon.

You need to watch this guy, he is phenomenal! the time frame of when I quoted this chat.. a few hours ago he did a TvT, Normally TvT are utterly long and boring.. but this TvT was packed with non-stop Excitement.. both players giving it all.. until the whole map of shakura's was mined out.. and it was down to only a few units left, Artist taking the win! (enemy threw a lot of nukes)
I knew Reign was going to be the next team to pick up a Korean... I've been right (lucky) a couple of times (in terms "bets") now... maybe I should get a lottery ticket- but I digress. Congrats!

Yeah he left due to not Reign not giving him enough perks. He wanted to go to MLG right away and fly back and forth to Korea often.
Damn, that sucks. I was wondering about this too since he's still tagged as RGN when he streams. Hopefully someone picks him up for a team.
Yea that makes me really sad. I love watching Phoenix stream, I was hoping to see him at MLG this month. He's already back up to rank 3 Grandmaster on the NA server. With ~75% win rate too. He's also GM on the SEA server.

i feel bad for this thread, it's getting totally overshadowed by the NASL and MLG stuff. Oh well, i'm always a fan of KiWiKaKi so i soo looking forward to see how they do in team leagues (aside from the IGN team league, go reign!!)
it's too bad phoenix left though, the team would have been beastly though now i'm really curious who the last spot will go to now.
