They are: * FruitDealer and Tester (lol) were unprofessional assholes. * Even though they were unprofessional assholes, until they were released TSL had to pay them. * TSL didn't pay them.

You REALLY need to check your posts before posting them.

No. First off, Nestea dosn't have anything to do with this. Secondly, you have no way of knowing if there were specific reasons for Tester and FruitDealer to not be in the house - Maybe more was going on than we know

Just because Fruitdealer and Trickster are horrible at the game and will never get into the quarterfinals of an upcoming GSL Code S tournament, doesn't mean you can call them assholes.

Trickster was just in the quarterfinals.
FruitDealer, on the other hand, looked like he was out of it for the last few months he was on TSL.

The lack of understanding here with employment baffles me.
So: In regards to EG/Puma, there was no contract. It's clear. Puma had a right to leave.
But just because there's no existence of a written contract does not mean that services weren't provided. If Fruitdealer and Trickster had been paid from the beginning, then it constitutes employment. Without a written contract Fruitdealer and Trickster can also leave at any time. I'm not familiar with Korean employment law so I don't know if TSL can simply expel them. But let's say they can.
That does not mean that TSL can have the players continue to provide services (representation in the GSL/GSTL) without paying them. There is a legal balance owing for these services. Assuming in Korean law an employee can simply be terminated without cause, Lee could remove Fruitdealer and Trickster from the team and then not pay. But if Fruitdealer and Trickster have already provided the services, payment has to be made.
On the other remark that this isn't a "salary": it would be hard to convince anyone of that. TSL has promoted itself as providing salaries to players, constituting employment. In a court of law that could be used against them to stipulate that, even without a written contract, there was intent from both sides to enter into an employment (as opposed to an unpaid internship or anything like that).

Read the quotes i responded to. The guy assumed that FD and Tester were 5-10 minutes late and that Lee was a slavedriver requiring 20 hours a day of practice. All idiotic assumptions that were in no way based on fact.

Looks like puma got out at the right time before he could be screwed out of money too. Rotten deal for fruitdealer and trickster. Wish they would just ban tsl from leagues so that tsl players could reform on a team under better management.

Neither party seems to be in the right in this situation. Coach Lee did some stuff that's questionable on the outside but one can realise why he did what he did. Trickster and FD also did stuff that was questionable but here again it's understandable.
Either way I see no right or wrong here. What the SC2Con did I think is far dodgier than what TSL/FD/Trickster did. I don't see a reason for a personal dispute between players and their manager/coach to be made public.
It's one thing to say "I understand why Coach Lee would be frustrated with his players". It's another thing to say "It's okay to not pay a person their agreed to wages." Unless there was a part of their agreement that said essentially "You wages will be withheld if you do not meet X requirements", then he had no justifiable grounds to withhold their salary.
As for the involvement of SC2con, this seems to be exactly the sort of arbitration situation that such a body would exist for.

Oh now we got a real drama on our hands. TV deal anyone?

Can someone translate this (pleaseeee <3) I am trying to make heads/tails of the article in google translate and it is really not going so well.

Wow, shit, now this is some fcuking drama.
Rekrul fucking called it on Coach Lee

lol people saying how they shouldn't be paid for not showing up. The whole world didn't know and didn't care. There are so many players (Nada) that probably go to the team house less and everyone still loves them.
They didn't have contracts and they wonder why their world went to shit. He had guys that where really good and famous them being on the team was why they where paid not what they did. TSL's probably not gona last very much longer now.
They where paid to be on the team and they where. They showed up for every match and their faces where on the TSL adverts so they should be rewarded for this.

Ok, I am reading through the comments and here is my opinion with the main thesis: Most people in this thread have no idea/did not read the SC2Association thread and think it's a fucking club or something. If you did read it, ignore it, but I know most of the posters here did not even read the thread. EDIT: Barely any posts state the consequences of being expelled, I just see people going like "LOL OH NO BAD DECISIONS" "EG IS STUPID" "LOL FK TSL" "WTF LOL"

Well, what does everyone think about Evil Geniuses NOW?

You're the 100th person saying that in this thread. Realize that it's two different things.
