Succeed:
1. BoxeR - It's the emperor, man.
2. DRG - He's just awesome and I want to see him in code S.
3. TLO - Really hope he can manage to pull through despite the wrist issues.

Fail:
1. Destiny - I just want to see the fanboys cry.
2. Idra - I just want to see the fanboys cry.
3. Incontrol - Just awful play all around at both MLGs, but ridiculously lucky. Really hope he drops out of the pools.

Judging by the amount of text dedicated to denouncing Spanishiwa I'd say you should rename this post to "SOAPBOX IN DISGUISE". Don't take people enjoying his play so personal kid. Saying who you would like to do well is great, saying which specific people you want to fail is just pitiful.

To win: Boxer, Select

Boxer because it would be so cool to see a legend like that do well. I missed the performances of bonjwas like Boxer because I wasn't into the scene back then. I would pull for Nada in the same way.

DongRaeGu, as a Zerg player, I would love to see this guy in the GSL

Huk, after his recent performances he is probably the best foreign player in the world and it would be cool for at least foreigner to compete for the win.

To lose? Honestly pulling for anyone to lose is really lame, regardless if its "just personal opinion"

Good luck to Destiny and Spanishiwa

To win:
Naniwa - Favourite SC2 player
White Ra - Nicest man alive
Jinro - Needs a comeback

To lose:
Idra - Fun to see him rage and hear his excuses
Destiny - Has improved but is still far away from the real pros
DongRaeGu - Is in Huk and Naniwa's group and people seem to think he is the best in the world, I do not

I skimmed the OP and was about to complain, but on a 2nd read i'll just stick to my own hope to win list, as I dont really want anyone to fail per se, I just want my fav's to succeed

.. But to be fair, I dont want Korea to take top 3 ...

Hope to win:

QXC - His IM teamkill must be a confidence boost out of this world, so I hope he will do great at this event.

Tyler - I have this gut feeling that Tyler will do well this event and im a big fanboy, but most of all I hope he will live up to his own expectations.

Morrow - A lot of players have been praising MorroWs Z the last few weeks, so if he decides to play as Z, I will be watching for sure

Pretty sad to see many people dislike Spanishiwa because he invented a gasless build almost nobody uses (including him) anymore. I would be at best confused about all that hate and jealousy if I was him and read that thread...

My hopes to win (or to place well, like top 8):
-team EG D:
-Catz
-Naniwa
-Ret
-Select
-other players that deserve success!

My hopes to lose:
-None - I don't hate anybody, and Major is just not ready to take the whole event or place that well imo.
Let us divine :D

I agree with OP stuff, except for Spanishiwa. His fanboys are not his fault, I want him to do well because he is awesome and Psy's friend

Want the Koreans to do well, and Jinro, as well as Incontrol

WIN

1.) Boxer - The Legend deserves the love that everyone has for him.
2.) White-Ra - A super beast that no one doubts, but a big tourny win / finish has been a long time coming (last good finish was 2nd place at Dreamhack Stockholm invitational?)
3.) The Liquids - I am a liquid fanboy, admittedly; I feel like their team's sense of good personality and morality is very unique in the esports field and it's a shame that only HuK is performing to the level that Liquid deserves. I am hoping for a mop up similar to MLG championship last year

LOSE

1.) MVP - I feel like his reign as "best terran" is kind of accepted by everyone but not throughly explained.. his play back in January was amazing but that was quite a long time ago... WC was good too but as I see it he is kind of overrated and I feel like he needs a lot more work to succeed. If he ends up blowing the competition and establishing himself as best terran then of course I will be happy and impressed, but in his current sloppy form if he wins that would be sort of showing how even a slumping mvp can own foreigners.
2.) desrow/avilo/deezer - I'm not 100% sure if these people are going but I dislike people who overrate themselves, and every time I see an early exit from desrow or someone else like this I have a hearty LoL.
3.) Idra - Honestly I am an Idra fan but I think he needs a cold hard slap to the face so that he will realize he needs to practice more more more.
aka "neophyte". learn lots. dont judge. laugh for no reason. be nice. seek happiness. -D[9]

I've been watching TLO's stream and he looks amazing, but every now an then in the chat someone says "oh god isn't he injured? why is he playing? he's going to hurt himself."

I want TLO to place high (not likely though) just so he can prove that he's back, and that players have to be VERY afraid of him (again!).

Win:
Spanishiwa - dam good player, don't care what you say
iNcontroL - see above
KOREANS - no need for explain, I think the best players should win

Fail:
HayprO - don't think hes actually that good
Hashe - see above
Major - should be banned from SC2 scene, hate this guy
+ Show Spoiler +
need more :p
SCDPride - if he goes to any tournaments, I hope he does poorly. Doesn't know how to play the game at all, resorts to cheeses to get himself to grandmasters, then makes obvious plugs for himself and his stream
Destiny - I guess? Good player, but takes nothing seriously

Win/do well:

Socke - gets too little respect of the community, hes quite good.
Demuslim - im a fanboy! his TvP and TvT are on toplvl, his TvZ still struggles. hope he does well in this hard open bracket.
SeleCt - i just like this guy and his playstyle. he rly deserves to at least go 2nd in his pool play group.

Hope to fail:

Destiny - he is a good player - not more not less. he gets overhyped and basically only shows some good results cause of his unknown "in only use the current imba-unit" infestor only style. Some ppl think, he belongs to a list of topplayers - in reality, he doesnt even belong to the NA top 10 - which is quite telling for how successful you can be in such a packed tour.
Spanishiwa - another good zerg! but i rly cannot see those "spanishiwa style" comments, whenever a zerg doesnt go for a 16 or earlier gas... ppl dont even know what spanishiwa-style is. despite of this, he wouldnt even be recognized without his 10kish streamviewers, there are ton of zergplayers on his level in europe: deathangel, osho etc... None of them is a top 10 Zerg here.
HayprO - i just dont like him and he shouldnt be part of TL anymore.

Top 3 to win... this is tough

1:Boxer - I love this guy... I mean, who doesn't? He is struggling through shoulder problems and all sorts of things but still manages to sit down and practice his heart out. Big props.

2: Tyler/Nony: He's a great player, but with little success recently. In fact, no one in liquid has had much success aside from Huk in HSC/DH. Tyler or anyone from Liquid (Aside form Huk, sorry bro) deserves a win.

3: Idra! Hes a fantastic macro zerg, and as much as all the haters say he can only play 1 style... he can do more than that, and do it better than you. Go grack!

Top 3 to lose:

1: Major: The SEA scandal was low... like real low... I lost all respect I had for major with that.

2: Spanishiwa: This guy hasn't revolutionized anything, all he did is come up with a gasless build that involves a million queens. He's incapable of beating any good player in a series.

3: Cruncher/coL: Cruncher is overrated, for some reason I've been running into a million of his fanbois all over the place and its annoying as hell. His only notable achievement ever has been beating Idra in a bo3. Thats it. I'm not a big fan of coL in general, I dislike minigun and catz, and cruncher of course.

i want idra to silence every hater by winning this MLG, i want destiny to take out a big name at a live event for once (instead of online), and i want the koreans to get spanked. MLG is fun as hell with higher skill involved, dont get me wrong, but in the end of the day, thats why i watch GSL. i wanna keep the MLG trophy in north america

i also am 100% aware that i won't have any of the three come true :| <3~

Hopes to win

destiny: i've been saying for a dam long time that 11 pool 18 hatch should be the standard for zerg openers, and i respect the man for showing others it. Also he works DAM hard to get better and with his recent results, it shows.

Boxer: Living legend, great guy... what more else can i say.

jinro: I want to see jinro go back to his western style of play, and be the macro terran that DOESNT base his strategy's on timing attacks, but on wearing people down in a show of complete and utter dominance.
Jinro come back <3

Hopes to fail.
Major.... he's just a dousche.
