Korean netizen reactions are fun, but this is probably a spoiler for a lot of Americans who were asleep and would like to watch the vods without knowing what happens ;o.
i woke up an hour later, i've been rooting for qxc all season knowing he would eventually go into try hard mode and do big things AND THE ONE TIME I'M UP LATE I MISS IT FUUUUUUU
also yea the spoilers are ridiculous... i knew FXO 4-0d from getting up in time to watch hoseo vs st but didn't know it was qxc (i guessed it was though lol)
I don't understand why some people go to forums and read threads while they have games waiting for them to be watched, go watch everything that you need to stay up to date with then come to the forums... seriously.

QXC had amazing micro and he played his A game today. I loved how he landed his vikings on the third game when he only had a few compared to the other guys vikings, killed tanks and vikings with his grounded vikings and his own tanks, then lifted it back up.

Non believers! Your liquibets were already fucked, should have stuck with it.
I always vote with my heart. Which is why you will never see me approaching the top of the liquibet rankings...

It's cool to see the koreans congratulating him on the most part, the only thing they were kinda sad about was losing their toto dollars or whatever lol. I'm really glad that the koreans could see this as a positive and not a negative, I thought they would be more pissed off than anything O_O

It is okay, tasteless says only smart people watch starcraft.
We need a Bandana man theme song in the style of the banana phone song. Or maybe some other sort of QXC song. There is so much material: Island scanning, you've probably heard of me, etc.

Very rarely the player is bugged out, in which case clicking the 'set X' buttons does not do anything (happened to me a couple of times). I suppose that's what xHassassin experiences. Just try refreshing the page and click the buttons again, it'll most likely work fine.
Hmmmm anyone else think MVP's GG timing was a little off? I just thought it was a little rude when he had no workers and was trying to kill banshees with his 2 vikings and knew that QXC had 20+ scvs with 2 orbitals, he may have even scanned the banshees. I don't mind a little BM from the winner sometimes (like dancing units or mules), but that was someone losing blatantly BM'ing another player just because he all killed his team. I guess iNControl was right about how Korean players feel about foreigners. I feel like this kind of BM is exclusively Korean at this point, am I wrong?

No. Lot of players gg late in the world because they dont accept the loose. It is not something korean or against foreigners. It happens in many places.

Most Koreans GG when there is zero chance of them coming back. It's not bm, it's common sense. Pro tip: Don't listen to incontrol.

I was asking. And no they do not always wait till they have 0 chance, sometimes they wait longer. Which is what MVP did. I'm not posting this just trying to bash Korean Progamers, but they are honestly the only ones who I see do this (thus me asking). AND YES he did scan the banshees when he had 0 fucking workers mining. Do not tell me he thought he had a chance. He was killing units for fun and probably a little (see how I said a little) frustration. To me its not much different than if he had waited 10 more seconds and lifted all of his buildings. He had recent vision of QXC's base and knew exactly what was happening. I like the pro-tip about not listening to a pro too, funny. I think MVP is probably even a player who stays in games longer anyways so maybe he didn't even mean to be rude. He also had a bandage on one of his hands, good reason to stay in the game longer.
I guess IM figured it was worth risking a loss in order to let their newest members get the expirience of being in the booth and not making their top players play.

This and they severely underestimated FXO...they thought that even though they were sending out brand new players, those players would at least go 1-1 and at the worst 2-3 or something, leaving MVP to clean up the last 1 or 2 players. I don't think they expected to go 0-3. That puts Nestea and MVP is a tough situation.

To be fair, QXC was essentially the only one they had to worry about.

Fuck yeah, QXC is JOHN LENNON BANDANA MAN DESTROYER OF TOTOS. Bitches!
Seriously though after foreigner HuK becoming a Korean Ace and QXC all killing one of the best Korean teams, I can safely say that we've made a lot of progress since Brood War.

Same. I think after HuK bailing oGs out of the hole (and taking down MKP!) + QXC's monster performance last night, there is really no reason for me not to buy the whole GSTL ticket.
I really think their subscriptions are going to jump noticeably within the 48 hour period following QXC's games.

Lol, MVP was just pissed he disappointed this team and didn't want to quit the game at all. Has nothing to do with BM, but everything to do with his mental state.
Anyway, great FXO got to all-kill a team and even better qxc got to do it. Someone said they didnt want to reveal LosirA's and NesTea's build orders for their semi finals. That seems likely. Still though, the IM coach must be kicking himself, haha. Severely underestimated John Lennon, Toto destroyer! :D
So it seems only 59-60? people betted FXO 4:0... I'm not sure what this Toto site is, but that's quite a stretch (or just underdog rooting) unless they are completely wild guesses.
God it was so intense watching QXC get through them one by one. When NesTea stood up to go in the audience cheered so loud, followed by everyone (and myself) going "huh?" when MVP got up to show it was a trick.
Makes sense in the end that Losira and NesTea wouldn't want to reveal BOs before their Ro4 games, if that was the reasoning seems that IM as a team willingly bit the bullet for the betterment of their individual players, which impresses me. (not that MVP isn't a good choice to begin with

Players do this all the time to each other. Please stop bringing in some stupid foreigner vs Korean shit into the picture, it had nothing to do with that, MVP was just upset with himself. Honestly, the conclusions some people jump to are just mindboggling. It has nothing to do with him being unable to win, they just do it.
I enjoy the fact that the majority of these comments are pro QXC. Is that true for the majority of the untranslated comments as well? I think QXC gives off a great impression (plus he looks cool) to the koreans.

I think MVP is probably even a player who stays in games longer anyways so maybe he didn't even mean to be rude. He also had a bandage on one of his hands, good reason to stay in the game longer.
Why even bother to make that post if you don't want to cause grief? I can admit that I shouldn't have said anything just because I should have known 2-3 people would react like this. So who else stays in games during tournaments just to have fun killing a few 20 kill banshee's that destroyed you (and fail at that, then immediately gg). I understand staying in the game when you think you have a chance or maybe you just need to collect yourself before cameras get back on you (possibility), but staying in (after you have lost) just to try and kill some units in the last game of a team league is kind of a weird choice (whether your a Korean or not....).
IF you don't think Korean vs Foreigner shit exists you have not been on TL the last few days. Puma ring a bell? All I did was ask a question, then I had few people try and put words in my mindboggled mouth, while ignoring my question and shrugging it off. Either you think he said GG late or not. And you either know of Foreigners doing it or not (and whether it was BM in that situation)? Those were my questions, you can answer them if you want, but don't post just to say "Oh not again" because your more likely to cause a fire than put one out. Similar to my first post.
I think it was probably him collecting himself a little, but regardless, it was unusual and I don't think there was anything wrong with asking. (lol besides knowing better)

It WAS a dumb question...he stayed in the game because he was upset that his team just got allkilled when they weren't even in the playoffs safely yet, by a team (player) that has been doing the worst in the group. Of course he was upset.

I don't think it's that unusual. We've seen MKP with his head down in his keyboard for like 3 minutes while dongraegu wandered around killing all his tech structures. We've seen NaDa and Boxer fight down to the last marine and SCV even though they have no chance to win. Everyone reacts in different ways to a high profile defeat. It's perfectly understandable if MVP wanted to kill that banshee.

Dude, imagine MVP's situation: His team just lost 3 times to QXC, he's considered their ace, the guy, along with Nestea, that their team was supposed to be able to fall back on in case of an emergency like that. But then, he finds himself getting stomped. You think the first thing on his mind is, "Fuck QXC, I'm going to stay in the game to BM him out of spite"? No. He's just staying in because he's extremely disappointed in himself (seriously, look at his expression after the game ends, it's heartbreaking), and doesn't want to leave when he normally would because an extremely embarrassing all-kill is imminent. You can attribute it to many things - shock, embarrassment, disappointment, but a concentrated effort to BM it definitely was not. Any player in MVP's situation (ace for a team that was supposed to OVERWHELMINGLY be the favorite that ends up getting stomped) likely would have understandably reacted the same.
The fact that you interpret it as BM and then innocently say that that type of BM seems to be exclusively Korean really tells me something about your mindset and/or your lack of empathy -_-;;
Your point about the Fantasy GG timing thread (I'm assuming you're referring to that one) seems pretty irrelevant because your OP insinuates that the supposed BM was partly motivated by how "Koreans feel about foreigners" - yet, Fantasy GG timing doesn't have anything to do with that. The funny thing is that you have to throw in some comment about how Koreans look down on foreigners inside a thread full of playXP translations in which Korean fans are almost all praising QXC.
Not to cheapen Qxc's awesome-ness, He even beat Mvp, but I wonder if there was Nextea, or Losira was there.... But now IM must be fucking EMBARASSED, getting all killed by QXC.

Losira is arguably easier than MVP. Losira is known to be weakest in TvZ out of all his matchups.

IM can't rely on nestea for every win
Yeah, good point. Now Koreans know the fury of a foreigner with nothing to lose! :D
I wonder how much money those TOTO jackpot runners got. If Liquibet or the GSTL preview coverage (I still want to see some TL shirt eating!) is any indication of how one sided people thought this match up was going to be the spread should have been fairly huge.

Because it was a stupid question stating that MVP was blatantly BMing qxc which wasn't even remotely the case. You also stated the BM was due to how Koreans feel about foreigners. It's people like you, not me, that are trying to "cause grief."

Hahahahaha so epic. OP activated ability, ban that card!
I'm glad to see the Koreans were happy that QXC was successful as well. It's clear IM didn't really take the match seriously until it was too late, and QXC/FXO did a great job capitalizing on that.
Qxc will get a legendary status forever because of this! Congratz you really deserve it. Loved the reactions of the koreans haha jonh lennon or bandana man is great nicks hahaha so funny man!
For the people saying they should use Losira, one thing some people aren't taking into consideration is Losira's stamina. He said in a recent GSL interview that he has a wrist injury and needs to rest it as much as possible when he isn't practicing or playing code S. It would not be a good decision to put him in hoping for him to win 4 games in a row. He could seriously hinder his chances to win code S. I think they should have gone with someone like Younghwa instead of Bbi for their protoss choice. I don't think MVP was a bad choice, but they put it all on his shoulders and as we saw, anyone can lose a bo1 on any given day.
Congratulations to QXC. You proved a lot of haters wrong today. People said FXO wouldnt win a single game before you guys went to korea. Well you just all killed one of the top teams. You are a badass, sir.
I went to liquidpedia to check the results from today's GSTL. I had to take a double take seeing QXC taking down four in a row. Awesome job bandana man.

What if IM has an explaination of why they were all killed? Don't you want their side of the story too?
Only posting one side is clearly biased. Bad journalism IMO.
We didn't say it is, EG did.
You're not a very good troll. The thread is about Korean reactions to qxc's all-kill. No "side" was taken in the post to begin with. One could maybe assume (being a cynical git) that there were more negative comments than in the OP, but in any case this is clearly meant to be in the spirit of celebration, not some kind of objective scientific report. You'd be on weak ground arguing that too.
Anyway, this was awesome. I'd be interested in some more translations, since I assume by now the story's been around a slightly wider audience over there too. Korean as a language seems to be incredibly averse to machine translation. I tried a few pages with comments that I managed to find by myself, but the result was basically illegible.

Yeah but it is more detailed. You bet not only on who wins but the score and I think you can bet certain amounts too like 60points Nestea would win 3-1.

His results slipped after he went overseas to study in Spain. I guess he was having too much fun over there to take it that seriously. It's obvious from watching him play that he's improved a ton since arriving in korea.
