I just see this as an attempt for FXO to actually make a name for themselves, and is evident of their lack of results in korea

Oh well, congrats it's just a subliminal message that their foreigner team is bad
There is a theory which states, that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly dissapear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable. There is another theory that this has already happened.

Idiot, I don't think this is what it means at all. They've shown commitment to their non-KR team. Putting them in Korea, getting them first hand experience what it takes, setting up a team house. Now they have a KR team and that improves their talent pool, gives them access to top class practice partners and they are in on any of the meta game shifts right away.

In before FXO acquires every team like trading stock I think this is great news for fOu as I really like a few of their players and hope to see more of them in the future. I just hope the foreigner part of the FXO team doesn't get left out too much.

well inevitably some will get left out. when only a small amount of players will get fielded in the gstl you can expect which group of players will lose the most amount of exposure

SC2 getting real international with these teams now. Not as Korea vs The World anymore.

This is great for both parties imo. fOu players now have more funding, and can compete in more foreign tournaments (which si awesome because I would LOVE to see Leenock and sC in foreign tournaments). And the FXO guys now have another team house (the ex-fOu house) to train with them. I think training with the ex-fOu team will GREATLY improve any of the foreigners in FXO who stay in Korea.

FXOBoSs doing some great things for the sport!

So no more cool fOu Jackets?

This is pretty cool. I hope the partnership goes well and becomes very profitable for both FXO and eSports

FXO is so ambitious. I just hope their foreigners start to play to this standard. QXC and Sheth are two of my favorites, so hopefully they train hard

I actually agree with him. FXO gave him a signed jersey after winning one game. And they probably took the idea to heart while watching.

No doubt they are going to cut people from the team. Sheth and QXC will probably get to stay though. Others will be cut loose. Loyalty means jack without results.

wow this is amazing news!!! The more global esports becomes the better, and this is a huge huge step to that direction!!

I was never a big fan of fOu or FXO (except qxc duh), but they just got themselves a big fan!!

Looking forward to see how much better the FXO abroard members become of this.

FXO is an investment site if you didnt know. They trade forex and gets all the wannabe traders who dont have much money, but times that by thousands and that means they have lots of cash to throw around

I don't know how a feel about this. Personally I'm not happy. There's the side of things where it would appear like foreigner FXO players will have the potential to really improve with Korean teammates.
But another part of it reeks of business and money first.

Like foU obviously is a significantly more profitable team, in the sense of potential tournament success in korea and around the world. The FXO higher-ups will make more money with fOu in the mix, so was this for money, or was it really for e-sports?

I fail to see why or how fxo buying fOu has a major impact for e-sports in a positive way? In general, if FXO never bought fOu, nothing negative would actually happen to e-sports. Likewise if FXO buys fOu, nothing significant happens for e-sports as whole, just all of a sudden. This acquisition only really effects the person who bought fOu, and the marketing of the FXO brand.

But I guess time will tell.
