Well as a wc3 player I would really like to remind everyone of the fact that when first SC2 tournaments appeared (during beta stage, really FIRST tours) they were mostly won by Wc3 players playing terran :DDD. then they *disappeared* for a while but now as they acquire more and more experience needed to fight ex sc1 players we're going to see more of oldschool wc3 players hopefully!!!
Wc3 players from europe worth mentioning : H34d_hunter, Lucifron, Sase, Naniwa, Elfi, Satiini, HasuObs, Xlord( although xlord really disappointed me a little :d. he signed with MYM or smth and hasnt shown any results).
oh and as for my fellow Rus players switching from wc3: Abver, Happy, Titan. they were all dominating wc3 european scene , Abver in the early times of wc3, Titan dominated wc3 when it was blooming, Happy started later than these both but his star shone the brightest till the end of wc3 , he was arguably best undead for a year or two.
their progress is worth being observed, especially considering the fact that Happy and Titan are going to WCG 2011 in Korea.

Slush. Consistently places decently in MLG and is currently tenth I think in points (or somewhere's about there), yet gets relatively little press.

Also Socke, but that's largely in part to his lack of consistency and inability to turn his neck independently from his body.

GoSu.Kyhol a really good player everytime I watch him play I get really stoked. Even though I play protoss I have to make myself not to switch to terran just from his play.

Agree 100% - his stream is awesome. I perfer watching his 1v1 but his 2v2 (with Bubbles) has been pretty tight too. He's been doing well on the Korean server from the games I've seen.

Sometimes I think Haypro is underrated, sometimes not. I've yet to see him do well in a tourney as of late.

That said, I don't really think many players are notably underrated.

Actually I believe he got it from the Road To Korea tournament that Rakaka held. He beat Naniwa in the finals ^^

SaSe, watching his stream right now and his micro is beasting it UP.

Huh, yea I guess he is. Just haven't actually caught him winning anything in so long I didn't realize. Makes me more surprised at his lack of press.

Liquid'Hero: I know people think he's good, but i believe he's up the top ro8, r04 code S kind of player. He just had tough luck, but when you watch his multitasking and control he seems to be ahead of other protoss.

Also most of top chinese players, just because they didnt have much to no appearance at all in westerns tournaments or even GSL tons of people don't know they're on similar level to koreans.

i.e. the definition of "underrated". I'm sure he'll get more spotlight in the future... I don't know anything about his team though.
