Life is not everything about money, if you can afford to follow your passion or do something you like, you do it. And Poker has more chance factor in it's core than Starcraft it's a fact. Otherwise we would always see awesome poker players win the whole tournaments but shit happens, Negreanu, Dwan, Ivey gets eliminated. You can't say it's not about luck when you lose a hand with KK where your win possibilities are above %66. It just happens.

Because being a professional gambler can be a miserable life...where as SC2 can be a lot more fun and fulfilling...even if you don't always win.

Once again, they aren't really updating him unless he busts out or wins/loses a pot against "known" player who they are updating regularly. Thats why you either need to wait for Fayth to update or break updates.

Still, have to give him credit for doing at least 2 things he loves to do full time and earns a living both ways! Do you really believe that? Finishing Top 3 in IPL gives him a ridiculous payday, no risk. There are some well-known names who can lose hundreds of thousands (and in rare cases, millions) in a year from poker. Just because Kiwikaki did well in this tournament (and I love him) doesn't mean he can make it a living - you look at players like Greg Raynor who've won the Main Event, and proceeded to crap out poker at tables in Vegas and in other tournaments. Is poker more profitable? Potentially. But it's also a ton more risky. Think about it this way - for every dollar you gain from playing poker, someone out there is losing more than a dollar (after factoring in rakes and whatnot). Also online poker is so unstable now, especially with the Black Friday stuff... just because you "earned" money online doesn't mean you will actually be able to cash out...
