Because those "crappy" players earned their spot through their previous MLG finishes giving them high enough points. Thorzain has played only a single MLG and did not place well enough to secure points for the pool. He also expressed he is not interested in coming to further MLGs (with Morrow) for the time being.

Pool play positions are determined by performance in previous MLG events. Thorzain didn't participate in MLG Dallas, so he's at a disadvantage compared to other players. If he plays this time, I definitely think he'll be in the pool play for next MLG.

Most of the people want to see the best players. I don't care if they are koreans or not, i want to see the best in every big tournament and they are the koreans by far right now. I would be very happy if the koreans take the top 5 because for me starcraft is a game wich awards skill and hard work and they represent that.

I would absolutely love a korean 1-5. Plus nasl finals showed that you can get 80k viewers at a foreign tourney with an all korean finals. The true esports fans just want to see the best and not weaker players just because they are foreigners.

DRG is one of the most underrated players I've ever seen; no one seems to ever give him credit for his victories. He is certainly quite up-and-coming, but I guess the community has not discovered his talents yet.

In any LR thread when he plays in the GSTL, he's getting constant praise and people practically calling him the next Bonjwa and crap like that. If anything, I think he still needs to prove himself.

What would be the point in hyping up a final between the two greatest players in North America when everyone would just say after "they'd get smashed by any average Korean". By all means, keep a quota of foreigner talent at these tournaments to help the scene develop, but if the rest of the world cuts itself off from Korea it can only damage the scene in an irreversible way.

I think it's pretty safe to say that most fans want to see the highest level of play possible. I can't understand why anyone would not want Koreans at MLG. Better players make for better games. On a separate note, the more I see great players in the open bracket the more I hate the current bracket system MLG has going. Getting placed into pool play is too much of an advantage; especially when the points players got that allow them to be seeded high came from tournaments before the exchange program took place, and before players from Europe started showing up on a larger scale.
