Thee foreigners hope Is Sen even coming? Replace him with Naniwa. And with Idra's nerves and fatalism, I can't see him beating the top Koreans in the deeper stages of the tournament. Yeah, unless idra is practicing 3 times as hard as he was before, and assuming he doesnt tilt on any of the games (yeah right) he may have a chance at top4. I really doubt it though. Edit: Also, Group A man, that is gonna fucking sick Replace Idra with Naniwa. Of course Naniwa will be practicing 3 times as hard as before, he seems to genuinely want to be the best in the world and has the right mind-set, he will also be in Korea for a week or two just before MLG. Naniwa got a bad draw with DRG, he said he thinks he can beat any Terran in the world, but he feels he is weak versus Zerg .

DRG in his current form is going to stomp the competition. Seriously he makes godly Koreans look bad. This is going to be insane!!

tyler won't be happy i guess! (last sotg..*cough*) awesome stuff <3

DONG RAE GU Soo good! I can't wait to see how well he does in the open pool and see if he can get in the top 8 or even better.
|
Also, I think this was missed by a lot of people.
Ganzi and Alicia are going to be there too (granted in the open bracket).

Pool A just went from difficult to ridiculous. Can't wait for Anaheim.

We're all doomed. DRG to win it all!
(and still not even qualify for Code A )

There's no question that he's a highly skilled player, and a threat to anyone at this tournament, but it's way too early to start saying he'll dominate this tournament. There are a lot of other serious competitors here.
Basically, the level of play at the top is going to be huge, and many different players could be walking away with this.
He does have what is probably the best ZvT at the moment, but we've seen very little of his other matchups. He'll do well against his fellow koreans (being mostly terrans), but I wouldn't be surprised to see an upset happen.
Well, he beat MC once.. and beating MC with zerg is somewhat an achievement on his own.

Hype Hype,
Just wanted to chime in on something I found very interesting. It's from a couple pages back where people where speculation that it's plausible for GSL to hold their Final overseas one time. It took me a while to think it over because I found it to be wierd initially but there could actually be something valid there. Let me explain.
All the passionate fans, their friends and family coming out the MLG's and various events is truly amazing. The way they all enjoy themselves and interact with the games is a big part of what makes it so special to watch. The GSL just simply doesn't have this what so ever. Next GSL finals I recommend looking for the people that walk down the ails and almost give instructions to the crowd for them to make noise with the big flappy things.
As was briefly talked about on the first Live on Three episode aired after MLG Columbus, if I'm not mistaken. Mr Chae explained that it's because of a culture thing. Even if they wanted to scream and make noise, it would be very hard for them to actually do so because it would mean they have to overcome caring about the possible disturbance or nuisance it would give the people around them.
Someone mentioned earlier, and we will probably continue to see this, what benefit does an exchange program like this bring the GSL? Well, there are many sound ways to argue in favor of certain benefits. But we can't see how their viewership has changed since MLG.
What we can see is what their finals are like and in turn, they can see what our finals are like. What I would hope will come as a result of them spectating us is a change in their behaviour. To make it so they feel free to act on a fool, as Luda would say. And what better way to have them watch and change than by bringing the finals of their event here and making them.

Omg this mlg is going to be so epic!!!!!
|
Alicia/Ganzi and Choya are gonna destroy the open brackets.
|
Oh my. I'm instantly super jealous of anyone that will be attending. Seeing IMMVP/DongRaeGu dismantle nerds in person would be ecstatic to watch. The only way this could be topped is if I get to see MKP when MLG comes around to Providence.
|
AWESOME!!
I want MC too though any1 know if he's planning on going to mlg?
|
This is pretty boss... looking forward to MLG more and more everyday.... these league exchanges are really making SC2 truly global.
