though can't imagine i'd ever be able to break my hand way too bad

The farthest I have gone to "raging" is just slamming my fist on my table. This only happens if I lose a game that I should have won, but I made some stupid mistakes and actions. On average, I usually just sigh, shake my head, or cuss out loud. I don't judge people if they rage in a video game because it shows that they care and want to win. Even athletes (sometimes professional) get pissed off when the game doesn't go their way. All I'm saying is that it is human nature and I know there are cases that the person raging do need some medical help. And I love reading some of these posts showcasing how tamed or superior they are by saying they never "rage".

When i start to rage. i simply take a deep breath and watch 1 episode of Gossip Girl...
XOXO..

this just shows your immaturity. as you gain more experience you'll learn to not play with an ego and to enjoy losing.

hahahaahahha awesome post, the power of games!!

Both on different days, i really hate this game sometimes.

I used to be like this (Zerg myself) then I transformed into an masochist, and now a days when I lose I just laugh like a fucking mad man.
+ Show Spoiler [NASL finals sheth vs squirtle spoilers!] +COuple minutes ago when Sheth lost to Squirtle in g2 I was mad at beginning but then I started laughing so hard that I got tears into my eyes.

Losing sucks, yes. And rage, too. But I've come to realize that knowing that I suck helps me want to be better...as well as just hating to lose...
|
Since I'm only like Diamond Toss and I am usually very good at keeping my anger to a minimum, I just leave without a gg. That only happens when I get cheesed/4 gated/some type of stupid all in.

Yeah, I was tearing my heart out watching Sheth outplay Squirtle for the first 15 minutes of game 2 and then suddenly he is at an insurmountable disadvantage due to a single bad engagement.
I used to get mad but nowadays I simply remind myself that like life, Starcraft 2 isn't fair.

Raging isn't something that we should be proud about. If anything it's pathetic.
We aren't children,
we are men of Starcraft

wow, all these expensive? things getting destroyed.. never destroyed something serious, just thrown my gamepad away from my SNES after losing in street fighter

Wow i thought my rage was bad :D Worst thing i've done was smash the mouse or maybe my fist on the desk. You guys take it to a whole other level. Tho when i played in a PC bang for few years i used to curse whenever i died ( cs 1.6). However i witnessed a guy getting stabbed just because of rage. Hilarious story really my friend was bleeding and the whole PC bang including me was laughing. Good times.

Speaking as a medical professional (I'm an x-ray tech), I see 1 or more of these each friday night or weekend:
http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/boxers-fracture
![[image loading]](http://www.sports-injury-info.com/image-files/boxers-fracture.jpg)
They happen when I guy thinks it's a better idea to punch a wall than it is to punch something else, hence "boxer's fracture."
Word from the wise: don't punch walls.

I've heard many times that a fracture at the 2nd or 3rd metacarpal is called a "Boxer's Fracture", but a fracture at the 4th or 5th metacarpal is a "bar room fracture", because boxers know how to punch things correctly -.-

Anger is a real human emotion. Taking it out on inanimate objects isn't necessarily worse than bottling it up and pretending like nothing's wrong. In fact, some would argue otherwise. As long as the anger isn't affecting other people or your long-term health, there's nothing ethically wrong with breaking a keyboard or punching a wall (provided you own the property or fix it up afterwards).
Stop being holier than thou and pretending that anger is a nonexistent aspect of human existence.
