to crms. i don't think inControl is in it for the fame. he just wants to compete as a pro. sotg was great with incontrol but the only reason he quit was to have more time for the game.

Awww IncontroL was my favorite part of NASL and the main reason I actually still watched. He's a damn good commentator in my opinion, but I understand needing more time if you want to be a competitive pro, so best of luck Geoff!

Makes total sense. He has always said he's a player first, and that if there came a time to choose between commentating and playing, he would choose playing. With casting, traveling, coaching, doing different shows, my guess is he just didn't feel like he had enough time to play. Casting is probably the least important of all these things (and the most time consuming).

I'm a big iNcontroL fan, but I'm not sure him withdrawing from so much of the casting and podcast side of things is a good idea.

I'm a fan of iNcontroL the funny guy with interesting opinions and discussions etc... he's a big personality and stuff.
He's not really a championship level of player.

I know he wants to play, and he certainly does it at a competitive level, but I just don't see him ever really winning DreakHack or something.
I think he may have a much better career and a larger fanbase continuing to do what he does on all the shows and casting.

I'll certainly miss him on NASL and SotG, best of luck in his playing career, but I hope he stays visible in some way

Incontrol is inferior compared to most of any players in the NA scene currently,him getting spots at majour tournaments,being in the biggest esport organization seemed really absurd and flawed.Its up to him now

Mixed feelings, but I suppose if that's what he wants to do then all the power to him. I'm sure a caster can be replaced fairly easily.

Sad news for sure. As i agree with what he wants as to be a pro gamer instead. But i think it feels a little weird for me only because he drove and worked/hyped the NASL so hardcore. Hopefully NASL runs as strong, if not stronger when he leaves! Good luck Geoff, i will be rooting for ya!
