talks about how great the nasl event.. I think I heard at one point 'one of the best setups we've ever seen'.
*bonkers* Don't confuse lack of live viewers with a poorly setup event. this has been the worst produced major event to date, the games have been good which is nice but that's the one thing NASL doesn't control, weird. You don't seem to have seen MLG Dallas or NASL S1. Aside from the projects on day 1, NASL S1 was better than this. MLG Dallas was a flop but MLG turned it around and crushed the shit out of every future event ever since. How did NASL improve? Their projectors didn't break? Great, everything else is just as bad or worse. none of this matters to my point, I just found it funny Lo3 prides itself on 'no fluff' and all they do is praise the event that's hosting them, it was expected but they're full of shit. There are enough criticisms of this final that could fill the hour and a half show, instead they say it's one of the best events ever. lols. Are you at the event? Wheat was saying that it has one of the best setups he's been to, not one of the best streams, not the best camera angles, not the best sound etc. It's pretty obvious he's talking about the screens, stage, booth, red carpet etc.
People need to remember that sometimes things need context...

I asked Scoots yesterday, "SirScoots SirScoots @ @Prophet4Profit @liveonthree still working those details out with @nasltv so keep eye on our twitter"
There was no follow-up on Twitter so I'm assuming it's going to be an NASL vod :/

/start no fluff
The episode was bought by NASL to promote them and to plug the new fps title, halo for pc.
/end no fluff

Well granted they said they haven't been able to see the stream so who knows, maybe it's an awesome live event.

It's funny how everyone seems to forget the criticisms of NASL. No fluff: they like this and that about NASL. STFU

*bonkers* Don't confuse lack of live viewers with a poorly setup event. have you been watching? The lighting, the cameras, the sounds, the view from the stream has been terrible. I don't care about how many people showed up. It looks like they're broadcasting from the batcave, doesn't matter how good your setup is if the 30k people on stream see blackness, bright glaring lights and dramatic chimpmunk zoom. this has been the worst produced major event to date, the games have been good which is nice but that's the one thing NASL doesn't control, weird.
What does any of that have to do with the live experience?

live experience demands a crowd. there is none. cherring alone? not much fun.

Read back a few pages and couldn't find anything that looked relevant to this:
In addition to Live on Three’s normal programming antics, viewers are encouraged to tune in for a special segment they will not want to miss. Until then, all are encouraged to tune in to NASL for a djWHEAT interview that will be aired on Thursday, November 17th.
And the talk about an NASL S3 announcement.
Can anyone recap what that was all about?

If you pay 10 dollars lol.

I don't know about you guys, but as Wheat did the moderation on NASL day2, especially in the beginning, he looked all happy, nice and positive on the outside, but you can see a fake smile and no matter what he says (the no fluff thing sadly is long gone with all the sponsoring), he had a look of disappointment on his face.
Maybe the bar has been set high by Dreamhack, IPL and MLG ... Let's not forget,a year ago this event would have been fine. But is it really a good exposure for other people to watch? For the viewer, it seems so amateur-ish. If you compare it to the other great tournaments, where you stand in awe ... this is just not it.

You can't expect them to bash the event they're allowed to cast from. Look to SotG to bring the critical comments.

You may as well get the GSL november ticket for that price

You might aswell get a grill plate with a beer. Which has, for me at least, a bigger enjoyment factor than a league that has average players, average casters, an average production value. You can watch Khaldor's KSL stream every evening instead, you get average to top players, average to good casters, an average production value and it's extraordinary since it's right from korea and not foreign. And in addition it's free. Or you pay for GSL and get a 100 games with great production value, the best players, the arguably best casters. In my opinion NASL's concept is just wrong.

You guys should really take the "no-fluff" off of the splash screen. Show can still be entertaining but you guys are clearly too embedded in the industry at this point to give anything resembling a no-fluff point of view. The same threads from production professionals that were on reddit after NASL one are on it again, clearly NASL hired incompetent people to do the camera work, audio, and lighting again. You hype up them adding a new game without anyone asking, "is this a good decision?". They are expanding when they already have many issues, instead of focusing on fixing those issues? The finals being held at 10 PM EST. on a sunday night (this is inconvenient even for americans)? There were good things about the event too, most of which you covered, but for the few bad things you mentioned there was an always an excuse given. "We are learning" and "grassroots" are pretty stupid reasons, if you are so grassroots why did you spend $100k on the prizepool and not use some of that money to pay someone who actually knows how to operate a camera? You can say "fuck slasher" but the show is usually much more no fluff when he is on it.
