No, Lo3 is always like that. It's just the kind of show it is- no fluff. It will make a lot of money but nobody wants to watch a civic try to race. Except the Civic is actually a pretty popular tuning model within the scene and performs decently well.

Lots of people like to watch inferior competition, just compare Nascar and F1. The insane numbers for the Dota 2 early tournaments can be largely accredited to the fact that for a lot of people, it was their first look at the game in action. On top of that, it had a $1 million prize which by itself generated a load of buzz that other tournaments and other games just don't get. I watched some of it just because that prize and the first look factor got so many people talking about it and I was curious, even though I've never played any Dota at all. Basically 90,000 LoL viewers for their normal tournaments is not at all comparable to those insane numbers at the first look $1m Dota 2 tournament.

The lighting, the cameras, the sounds, the view from the stream has been terrible. I don't care about how many people showed up. It looks like they're broadcasting from the batcave, doesn't matter how good your setup is if the 30k people on stream see blackness, bright glaring lights and dramatic chimpmunk zoom. this has been the worst produced major event to date, the games have been good which is nice but that's the one thing NASL doesn't control, weird.

Holy fucking exaggerations, Batman. Were the camera goofs w/ zoomins kind of silly? Yeah, but did it somehow ruin your viewing experience? Would brighter lights allow for a better environment, sure. But these things ruin the setup? Good God. I have to log for now, I can't take reading this shit anymore.

MLG Dallas was a flop but MLG turned it around and crushed the shit out of every future event ever since. How did NASL improve? Their projectors didn't break? Great, everything else is just as bad or worse. none of this matters to my point, I just found it funny Lo3 prides itself on 'no fluff' and all they do is praise the event that's hosting them, it was expected but they're full of shit. There are enough criticisms of this final that could fill the hour and a half show, instead they say it's one of the best events ever. lols.
