5  Alicia - Its usually between Him, frozen, and Min who show up first on slayers matches, so its a guaranteed +1 point if not more. Also shown to be able to all kill.
3 Frozen - Exact same reasoning as above, cella and boxer usually rotates between alicia and him as to who to send out first.
1 HuK - AMAZING 1 point pick. Did we not just see him go undefeated to get to finals of dreamhack? oonly thing im worried about for him now is jet lag.
4  Min - Same reasoning as Alicia/frozen. Seems like he's their ace zerg player.
9  MMA (captain) - Captain, obviously expecting him to show up in every slayers game as their ace player/tvt sniper
3 Seed Almost always a guaranteed first send out for his team. I don't know about him scoring many points though, will have to see.
3 Sheth One of the allstars for new to gstl scene sheth. I really like his zvp/zvt
2 YuGiOh back up zerg for slayers, might as well keep the set right? awesome pick for 2 points over ryung/the rest of slayers

8 LosirA - Losira is in my opinion actually really good, but his team usually does pretty terribly. I can't see them doing too well against slayers round 1.

2 TheBest Terrible, terrible player. I really don't like to badmouth him, but I've seen him play games in his PoV, his micro and macro are just not up to code a/b standards.

GuMiHo was a bit build dependent but I see him doing well, especially after qualifying for Code A. GuineaPig is a big risk but I think he'll be used enough as a Random player to be worth it, especially as he won't be sniped easily. Beyond that, MMA/Slayers were obvious as I had the points, QXC and Sheth will get the playing time (and QXC is showing signs of a rebound), Keen and Rainbow just seem like they'll be solid in GSTL. Huk is playing well enough I suspect he may get use against non-P with weak vsP (since they won't want to spend MC early).

After rechecking players and point scores, I updated this a little. TSL and oGS seem to underperform, so I don't think any of these players will do well. Trickster is still a bit of a risk though since he'll get a lot of playing time.

Guys your captain is someone you cant trade.. so why make your captain someone who is worth alot of points (you lose the ability to trade them). Captain should a person worth 1 point
People have Team aces as their captains MC/Polt/DRG/MMA are making a mistake imo.
for example after Week 3 MVP has a 3 week break of no games. during this time you have the OPTION of trading DRG away for say SCfou who will be playing in 2 of the 3 weeks. and then trade back for DRG if you had another higher worth player.
OR
if your captain is a team ace and starts slumping HARD or gets injured your screwed since you cant trade away your 8-10 point guy.

Tiebreakers are settled depending on how well the captain does so there is some merit on putting a good player as a captain

WHY CAN'T I PICK ARTOSIS It got cut off and I accidentally submitted it as WHY CAN. But its pretty obvious what its short for so I'm ok with it.

So I had a choice between MVP and Losira, for who I thought would get more points. Because of that I can see Squirtle and July clearing a team before they even need Bomber. 2 TaejaI can see why he's 2 points. Anti Team4 FruitDealer5 Moon4 ThorZaINI wasn't quite sure whether I can swap these players or not later on. If not I might regret it. Fruitdealer has been just good enough to stay in code s for a lot of seasons now. I can see him being played a fair bit, but I can't see him winning much. Moon and Thorzain don't play for a while so hopefully I can swap them out. Even if I can't, I don't see Moon winning much, and as much as I hope Thorzain will do well I don't think he's quite at the level where he can compete with the top Koreans. F. United are in the harder group too, so Thorzain will end up playing a lot of difficult players.

My choice for MMA should be fairly self-explanatory, he is the anchor of the SlayerS team, and even though he got crushed by Polt in the Super Tournament finals, his GSTL record is phenomenal. DRG is picked for similar reasons as MMA. Taeja, Virus, Golden, Keen and GuineaPig because they generally open for the team, and are capable of winning a couple of games. Not to mention they are almost always guaranteed to play. And finally Jookto because he showed some pretty good games in the Super Tournament, and at 1 point is a steal, hopefully he gets some game time on the massive oGs bench.
Picked MVP as the team because they are a good choice for points at an economical price.
For my anti-team, I picked Trickster because he has just been mediocre since the open seasons, and I can't see him really improving much, especially in the team leagues where he underperforms moreso than usual. Clide because he also underperforms in team leagues, despite doing not too badly in the GSL. Might get more game time now that Rain has quit TSL. Check because he has been pretty mediocre as well, not to mention he is the top Zerg on Prime, which means he will get games, and he will most likely lose.
Now come to think of it, my selection of players from a fairly narrow group of teams is probably going to come back and bite me in the butt, especially when none of them are scheduled to play in a certain week ><

I'll actually talk about my choices too...
Losira as captain because, well, he's Losira and he's probably the best zerg in the world right now. I picked Clide because he was pretty cheap considering he's been around for a long time now and has always been a solid Terran. Boxer seemed an easy choice because he was only worth 2 points, and has shown in the NASL that he is still a solid player. I picked Squirtle because I feel like he still has something to prove, he's not made much of an impact in Korea despite all the hype surrounding him, hopefully he finds some form in GSTL. It was almost hard NOT to pick Huk, he was only 1 point and he's back into code S, and he's just now made it through to the Dreamhack summer finals beating July convincingly. As for Sheth, Naniwa and Thorzain, I'm confident that they will get picked a lot because Koreans seem to be keen to get foreigners over there, and I feel these are the most likely of all the foreigners going over to be able to take games off of some of the Koreans.
As for my Anti Team, I've never rated moon very highly, he always seems to under perform and I can't see him doing much in the GSTL. As for NaDa, he appears to be on a slip and I can't see him being picked much for oGs. Finally, GuineaPig, he's playing random, and I can't see that working out too well for him...

I made my team purely based on point value and then it complained that I had no protosses. I then looked at my anti team and they were all protosses... Apparently, I have a bias based on my own ladder play, in which I feel so powerless as P... Anyway, Alicia to the rescue, I guess, even though I feel he's probably not worth the 5 to be on the main team.
Didn't really want to take MC either... You just know that other teams will have a sniper prepared specifically for him every time so he's a riskier investment.

+ Show Spoiler +2 Ace-Ace is 1 of 2 Protoss on St so he plays often. He is also very cheap at 2 points. 1 Creator-Creator was able to battle against MVP in a close series so he is decent. He is also cheap. 4 GuMiho-Second best on fOu and plays a lot.He will probably get a lot of kills. 1 Hero-Another cheap player. He is Code A and oGs often sends him out first. 8 LosirA-He is sent out before MVP and Nestea so he gets a lot of kills. Capable of 2-3 kills per match. 9 MMA (captain)-Strongest player of SlayerS could get a lot of all kills. He always plays great in GSTL. 3 SuperNoVa-He is a talented player often sent out by oGs and is very cheap. 2 ViOlet-Very cheap and often plays for MVP. 6 SlayerS-They are probably the strongest team.

+ Show Spoiler +2 Ensnare-He rarely plays because oGs has a large roster. 5 Killer-Not so strong and often chokes. 6 Trickster-Loses games he should not.

5 Alicia - Alicia faltered in the super tournament, I think this will affect his play in a good way, and I chose him over MMA because MMA is usually their sniper so he might not see as many games early.
1 Hero - He just got into Code A and he had to beat DRG (who consequently beat Qxc T_T) which as we have seen from past GSTLs and the LG 3D tournament is no easy feat.
1 HuK - He's like, 2 bazillion and 1 at Dreamhack (ok, I exaggerate but hes playing amazingly, TLO even says he trains more than the koreans do?!?!
6 Leenock - Leenock played relatively well last GSTL if I remember correctly so he seems a pretty solid pick
8 LosirA (captain) - LosirA is definitely one of the better zergs and they are more likely to use him because Nestea is IMs Ace Player.
4 Min - Severely underrated, like most of SlayerS, I think Min has a lot of potential to do well in the GSTL.
3 Sheth - I had to have one pick for someone I really like as a player, and honestly with FXO being over there, and Sheth being one of their better players I think we'll see him being played a decent amount.
2 TheStC - All I know is this guy was good early in SC2 (Before I played SC2 or watched GSL) so I'm expecting to see good things.
6 SlayerS - They've won it twice now, I don't see why they can't go for a hat trick assuming they keep their current form and I really think IM should be 6 points and SlayerS should be 9, playing a 1v1 Bo3 is different from the GSTL imo.

You can change your team for the duration of the signups but later on I don't think so. Problem is even though they don't play first 6 weeks they will play and by the time their points will be very high as their played to not played match ratio will be much higher than anyones. Point being that even if you can change them, I doubt you will be able to due to points

+ Show Spoiler +(｡◕‿‿◕｡)Main Team5 Alicia - I figure at 5 I can't go wrong, he should do well and get more wins than not. 5 GuineaPig - He performed really well last season and as random he can't really be sniped which gives potential for huge win streaks. 1 Hero - He already played last season GSTL and since then he's got Code A so oGs will show more faith in him I figure and if he plays well he should be a consistent face in oGs's rotation. 1 HuK - Okay so, if they consistently play him he'll be incredible at 1 point. It's a bit risky seeing as how oGs has never played him before but he's easily one of the best players on oGs. 8 LosirA (captain) - Super solid and perfect for my captain. He's ZvP pro and will generally be put in in situations where I feel he'll be guaranteed at least one win since IM usually has MVP as ace. 8 MarineKing - I cut a lot on my lineup with Taeja, HuK, and Hero so I could afford another high point player. I was thinking of either DRG or MKP and I just feel like MKP is more solid over time and DRG could have been a fluke. If I remember correctly he really only shined for 2 cw's and not really the whole season, MKP has probably been the most consistent SC2 pro and I think he'll still be Prime's ace over Polt. 2 Taeja - All kill potential for 2 points? Yes plz 2 ViOlet - He plays a lot, he's good, and low points. 4 MVP - The best team for the price. Anti Team4 Clide - I think Clide is the most overrated pro ever, I don't think he'll get played a lot and he's 4 points. Basically I figure if he goes in he'll lose or he doesn't play, win win for me. 4 FruitDealer - Has he ever done good in the GSTL? 5 Lyn - 5 points on Lyn? Easy choice.
So I know it's generally not a good strategy but I took some risks with some 1 - 2 point players who I thought were a great steal and had potential to pay off huge, which allowed me to get a few 8's and a few mid range as well. I figure if worse comes to worse I'll just hit the trades hard.

If its the same as BW then you can trade your members, values of players change according to how they perform(how much points they get basically) you can only trade too players of lower value, (E.G DRG is 8 points, but you can trade him for say, Nada at 4 points) so you can gamble.
Trades are done after each week of GTSL league if I am correct.
If you are really smart you can actually trade in a way that according to the schedule you will get the most points out of.
But that is sooooo much work.
Note that you can not trade your captain.

Im a bit dissapointed, that people have such little faith in the FXO guys. Not only are they a steal(QXC for 2 points :O) but also, they have the will to perform and are easy points, if they win. I tried to avoid superstars, as they force you to take really bad or unknown players. Basically i focused on the chance of a player appearing, hope that works out in the end
