Paying 5$ for GSTL is fine and pretty easy to find in a budget, no matter how much content they give you. Finding 30$ in a budget is much harder. Edit: Just my opinon on the whole paying for thing, you can watch most shows on TV if you miss them on Hulu for free and legally (Maybe other countries don't have the same), but to watch a game of SC2 if I miss it live, I have to pay money for... pretty stupid if you ask me. I can tell my buddy to check out the latest episode of CSI because it is sick, but if I want to tell my buddy to go watch TheBest vs MarineKing (trollol), they have to pay money. Luckily for myself I can stay up at 5AM every night and catch them live, so no money has to come out of my pocket.

Well produced SC2 content does not.

Samsung, G.Skill, and Coke exist all around the world, I don't understand why we don't watch commercials instead of seeing the same GomTV intro we've seen since Avertac Intel Classic in BW. Play some damn commercials in the VODs, I don't care. I just don't like the fact I can't tell my buddy to go watch a SC2 match that he might actually be interested in. I got him watching some of the Avertac Intel Classic because he thought Tasteless was hilarious, I couldn't get him to do the same now a days.

Commercials would help with adding money for GOM but i'm pretty sure the amount of money Samsung and G.Skill are willing to pay for these commercials are nothing compared to overall production costs. Commercials on regular broadcast TV reach a much broader audience with everything from LCD TV's to toilet paper. SC2 fans are not the key demographic. And don't forget dvd box sales, those probably account for a huge part of the revenue from TV-series. It's just not feasible that your friend should just be able to watch any game from GOM for free. Even with ads it still wont cover all the costs.

If you look at it, with 92,000 viewers for the super tournament VOD X 25.00 per subscription, thats 2.3 million dollars + sponsorships. I'm all for E-Sports growing and viewing a quality product... but this seems like a killing to me. Maybe I'm wrong here... 92k viewers doesn't mean 92k people bought the pass. I am sure there are plenty of people that just watch it live.

Even though its more expensive I can cut one perk out from my weekly routine so I can fit the new price into my budget.
