Their trial ran out and GOM chose not to renew them. I'm sure the same thing happened with Moletrap. For one reason or another they were not thrilled. Is it that difficult to latch onto?

Wolf has proven his ability to solo cast this past week and his casts are very informational and entertaining. Out of the four Code A casters you have tried so far, Wolf is BY FAR the best.

It feels very unnatural and I know I'm not alone in this. I also know some people love this sort of thing, so while it does seem to be largely a matter of taste, it is a polarizing one, and GSL doesn't need a controversial caster who will likely alienate half the audience. There is nothing fake about my excitement and it's pretty much the most insulting thing you can claim to any eSports fan that their excitement is somehow manufactured. As we've already seen, people will happily bitch about every caster so the idea of not hiring a polarizing one is out the window right there. What you want, is Tastosis 100% of the time and you can't have them because they aren't superhuman. I think however it's a fairly important point to consider, that the casters make so much of a difference to the eSports experience in Starcraft 2 when the casting is much less of a factor in actual sports in terms of how much you enjoy the game. Which makes me wonder about just how legitimate Starcraft 2 actually is as a spectator sport when the commentators can either make the most dull game entertaining, or the best game an unlistenable disaster in the eyes and ears of some people. Food for thought, nothing more.

Husky's knowledge of players is ridiculously small so no. I'd like to see AskJoshy go.

Food for thought, nothing more. Wow this is an amazing point that I think more people need to look at. Especially when they criticize casters such as TB on the forums. If you do not like him, that's fine. You however do not need to be so negative toward him on the forums especially when the chances of him reading it are really high. But this is the internet and I've pretty much given up on the majority of TL posters. I would love Diggity to cast but he's definitely too busy. Sad moletrap did not stay longer as well.

As a side note to TotalBiscut. Casters do make a big difference in most games. In football or basketball when you miss the play or just don't happen to see it they are there to announce what happened. They can also give you insight by seeing more. The reason why they're important is because they whole game is not visible to the individual watching. It isn't about them forcing something to be exciting but the continuous stream of information.

If you are listening to the audio of a video instead of watching it, then you are doing it wrong ![]() We aren't talking about radio, we are talking about video. Radio announcers have to tell you what is going on because you cannot see it for yourself. Video allows you to see what's going on, making video a superior medium for entertainment. It's a good thing that you can't say it for other casters because they actually have an idea of what they are doing.
