Win: Team Liquid and all the Koreans.
Lose: Not Team Liquid and all the Koreans.
Guys, I understand why some of you want the Koreans to lose T_T but for this first MLG where they will debut, it is kinda better from them to tear everyone apart. They need to have success so that they and other fellow Koreans will see MLG as a place of opportunity and come back time again and again.
In turn, we as spectators can watch games that are Korea vs World.

To Win:
Moonan
He seems to have stream nerve issues, so his only on-stream play has been bad, but despite losing to Huk on stream he made it through the loser's bracket all the way to Socke before losing again. Only losses those TvPs (and he's beaten Socke since) and the TvZ consolation against Idra.
Gretorp
Sure, he abuses the english language when he casts. And yes, MLG is too generous in defending pool players in general. I've criticized it before. But you know what? It wasn't too generous to him at Dallas. The open bracket was hardly a joke, but compared to his pool? His run: (L) Kiwikaki 0-2 (L) Idra 0-2 (L) Socke 0-2 (L) Huk 1-2 (W) OptikZero 2-0 (L) Haypro 1-2 (And then beating either Vibe or Mihai - I forget which - in consolation rounds). The only player who finished behind Gretorp and beat any player of the quality Gretorp lost to was Pokebunny (who beat Sheth before losing out to Naniwa and vile.Hawk in the Open Bracket). You can't just look at records when the competition in pool play is that much harder than the open bracket. His run wasn't impressive, but the man has far more haters than he deserves over Dallas and I hope he disappoints them at Columbus.
Haypro
Staying in Korea can make it hard to break through, or judge a player. He's recently moved back to Europe ... and promptly gotten sick. Let's hope he's recovered in time for MLG.

To Win:
SeleCT
He's done so well previously so I'm not sure how much more I can hope for but if anyone deserves a gold at this point it's probably him.
LzGaMeR
I wish Lz well in every event he goes to. Just an all around nice person with a creative style that's always fun to watch.
DeMusliM
Probably my favourite personality in SC2 and I would love for him to show NASL they made a big mistake in not picking him.
Skew (special mention)
Would really like to finally see him put up some results, would be an awesome follow up to joining Sixjax.
To Fail:
No one really, not even the players who I kind of think are dicks.

TO WIN Demuslim - he deserves it after all the shit he's been through Naniwa - he needs to get out of his mini slump and kill everyone Morrow - to prevent all the annoying QQers
TO LOSE Idra - bad mannered, whiner, overrated Koreans - to prevent all the "why koreans going 60-0 proves nothing" blogs.
INBETWEEN Terran - I really don't know if I want him to show epic games and stomp everyone in Naniwa's fashion (he's capable of it in my opinion) just for the lulz, or to lose all his game because he's just stupid/unmature.

I don't care who wins or loses. I want to see some unorthodox play. I want to see double nuke cornering, mothership vortexes, nydus baits, THE WORKS. I think, regardless of who wins, people will be satisfied with amazing games and MLG Cbus 2011 will be talked about.

Win - Naniwa
Lose - The Koreans when facing Naniwa
|
wouldn't mind seeing select take a 1st, he has come close many times so i think he deserves a first. be cool seeing his team mate naniwa win also, as a toss I enjoy watching his play. mma is good too, I think he deserves that code S prize for putting on so many gg's in team league. As for lose i don't have any picks.

To WIN:Tyler,Naniwa,Morrow (thoorzain)
To Loose: Cruncher,Desrow,Gretorp(just want him out from the top 16 so he can focus on his casting more and give the spot to others that deserve it more)
|
to be honest, i just want a foreigner to win
|
I would like to see TLO come out with some games at Columbus and surprise people!
|
|
|
EDIT : I had a change of heart ..
to win : Julyzerg or Myself
to lose : MC , cuz he doesnt need to win anymore
|
To win: demuslim, major, idra, morrow/naniwa (if they're there), To lose: koreans (I can't disagree more with the random seed into the near impossible to get into champ bracket), qxc, catz, cruncher.
Also I REALLLLLLLY hope the OP didn't just spoil the upcoming CSN event, even in a spoiler tag if thats an actual result I'm pissed.

To do well:
Bomber - fanboy <3
SjoW - slipped back from being one of the biggest threats wherever he goes, but he's still turning in solid performances against top competition and I'd like to see him get a good run here.
CSN winner - Whoever it is, I hope they can have a good run through the open bracket since they've already come through a hellish draw already to be there.
To not do so well:
Any of the seeds living off the seeding system that gives them that ridiculous buffer despite dismal performances.

To WIn:
Gretorp: Great guy, great stream. Doing well on KR ladder, and ran into some trouble at Dallas. Look at 2010 MLG results if you don't think he deserves the slot.
Tyler: If I could pick one guy to win it all, this would be it. He really deserves a win, he's extremely talented and suffering from a debilitating slump that I hope he breaks out of.
Select: Fun player to watch.
To Lose:
Not really a fan of wanting people to lose.
|
To win:
Naniwa, Kiwikaki, Thorzain, (Talent, talent + attitude and <3 Thorzain)
To lose:
Idra, Cruncher, Moon (Attitude, attitude/playstyle and skill)
|
Hope to win: Bomber, Losira, DeMuslim Hope to lose: Who ever is BM. I can't seem to appreciate it and idolize players who do so as much as others in the community. Best of luck to everyone who competes!
|
To win: Select, Sheth, TLO (super nice guys who work really hard) To lose: Not anyone in particular but I hope the Koreans at least won't totally dominate the whole thing (like taking 1st - 5th). But I also don't want them to fail, so something in between.
|
To win: Anyone that wants to compete at the highest level for the most money/fame in Korea that will accept the GSL spots. Like Naniwa + Korean don't know who else share their views of becoming the absolute best player... everyone else seems to be satisfied with top 8-16 at an MLG...
To lose: Everyone else.
