MMA: My favourite player from my favourite team, doesn't need more explanation than that even though there's more to be said. Haypro: Such a nice guy who was great at BW and he needs to get the confidence that Jinro got by crushing through MLG as he is yet to show any brilliance in SC2, not very likely though. July: I want him to be as successful in SC2 as in BW and him crushing through MLG Naniwa-style would be amazing after his GSL S5 final. Stream. Who I want to lose Thorzain: I consider him overhyped after TSL and I feel like he isn't nearly as strong when he doesn't have weeks to prepare for his games and it wouldn't suprise me if he got knocked out in the open bracket. He's welcome to prove me wrong though as I don't have anything against him as a person. The Koreans (Except for MMA and July obviously): I don't want SC2 to go the way of BW where ONLY Koreans stand at the top and thus I think Korean dominance at MLG would be bad for the western scene. I also feel that Moon we have seen recently doesn't deserve to get anywhere high in this MLG but that could of course change considering how good (quite an understatement yo?) he was in WC3. Losira is overrated imo, he's great but not THAT great. MC: I like his attitude, I like his play and I love his dance moves (Flounder anyone?), but I just don't want him to dominate too much in SC2, I want the spotlight to go to other players as well like it did with Naniwa after MLG and MC is the one player in the world who needs to win the least after all the fame and prizemoney he has recieved, he only needs the win to prove that he isn't slumping. Idra: He really is a great player but I haven't ever liked his attitude or mindset. The eagles in their fight for control over the MLG stream viewers.

It's common knowledge that it's the Koreans who have the rigorous training sessions and not the other way around. If they lose against players who do not even come close to getting the same amount of practice, it means Starcraft 2 does not value skill and is instead about build order wins. Basically meaning the game will never be successful competitively. That said, I want ROOT to fail. The entire team just screams mediocrity. And what are you talking about... if SC2 is about build order and strategy in general instead of pure APM.... its unbeleively good and will succeed! finaly we will see strategies (brain) over apm (hand speed). Imo it was about time! and as for root just get half the skill they have... or don't comment on them! Root is arguably the best NA team

Idra (very likely at this point) with much shit talking the whole time Tyler for the same reasons as everyone else and I want his rivalry with Idra to come back from BW Select because Idk I just like him and with him and Idra I want some consistency in winners of major tournaments Also with all 3 I want Americans to win (select at least half counts) To Lose: idk I dont really dislike any1 at mlg, ill just say a couple koreans and sixjax for the same reasons as other ppl EDIT: scratch that, this: to win: lag common sense, empathy VS greed, ignorance Blizzard employees that care about the community VS everyone else at Blizzard to lose: Battle.net 2.0 LAN opposition procrastination of their 'to-do list'

My favs: Idra - Our top foreigner, the one and only, take it down! MMA - SlayerS fighting! July - The Golden Mouse winner, my favorite zerg to watch. The Zerg that'll straight up kill you if he sees weakness. To a lesser extent: Moon - Respect for the 5th race Losira - Ridiculously strong Zerg, not to many of those MC - The first hero Toss, hope he beats everyone (minus my favorites) Lose: TT1, Cruncher, most of ROOT I guess. Also, I must laugh at those who are hoping the Koreans will fail. Sorry, they won't, they're simply better players than what we have because they train so damn much (not because of their nationality). Citing TSL results doesn't work at all, this is a LAN, no lag, where they tend to dominate. So far only Moon and MC have taken a hit (though losing to Idra hardly counts, since he's basically Korea-trained). And as mentioned before, even if they do get knocked out, I feel it's counter-productive to cheer for the players who train less (would show how shallow the SC2 skill ceiling is). Just a shame HuK or Jinro couldn't make it. Let the best players win! edit: added reasoning

Not to mention the talk about the most niche part of the community ever: "raped women gamer nerds (that live in their basements)" as if it will even make a dent in esport. But anyway,I actually feel that Destiny was the only one to approach the 'issue' with any objective logic/reasoning. Top to win for each race: - zerg: Idra - toss: Naniwa - terran: Thorzain Basically I want players with solid play to do well. Others players I want to do well: Tyler, iNcontrol, Losira To lose: - Gretorp = wasted spot - TLO = I want him to do bad so he will switch from gimmick/micro/macro to macro/micro/gimmick

CatZ has his amazing style and macro; he was ahead of the curve before, and now that everyone else is starting to catch up in strategy, he is even more ahead and has all of his old stragies polished up. Drewbie is extremely solid, almost like a mini MVP, but he does have his moments that he makes bad decisions, like going pure bio VS zerg. Kiwikaki is and always be a complete beast worthy of any tournament. Slush is pretty good, but clearly the weakest on the team other than Destiny. Root is the embodiment of what Koreans think of the foreign scene: strategic and pretty good at both micro and macro. Sixjax is the second team that I think will do well. Some say they hate the mercenary type recruitment, but I LOVE all of the players and their styles. VIBE has great mechanics while also using a unique style. He has been polishing up his early game and even climbing the ladder to a spot above IdrA. Sixjax MajOr deserves some credit despite what Sheth says. Nobody does things that they think are wrong or extremely bad for their image. MajOr has matured a bit, and even chose a mature name for once. DDE has recently taken a $5000 grand prize off of IdrA, showing that he has amazing skill. Dark Horses: Naniwa, MorroW, Thorzain, the Koreans, Ret and IdrA. These players are extremely good but also may suffer from jet lag or they may have the shit cheesed out of them (IdrA). Quoting myself here. MajOr and ViBE are both doing great. ROOT on the other hand, are not. But hey, I am still a fan ^_^! Hopefully they will arrive in the next MLG playing at their peak.

Not all of the Korean wins in MLG are from cheesing so it disproves your theory 2. You only pick and chose the Idra versus MC and Moon versus Naniwa, so why don't you choose when a Korean wins a macro game against a foreigner as an example? so yeah, you're not right
