the only comeback argument i have heard about FXO in the GSTL is "it will be great learning experience".

Looser talk right there. Was really hoping it would be a World Team with various top performing members vs the koreans

Fuck all the haters. I'm super pumped for FXO to be in the GSTL. With all of their players practicing fulltime on the Korean ladder I'm sure they'll get significantly better. Regardless, Sheth and moonan are already bosses. I really can't wait for the next GSTL now.

Are people really complaining that FXO is participating in the GSTL ? Didnt read the hole Threath.

Lately a lot of people have been having a defeated attitude towards Korea (see the "problem with korea" thread). I don't know why they are hating on FXO going to korea. This is the intiative teams need to make to fix the skill difference. GL FXO!!!

Meh, as a Liquid fan I have to admit I'm a bit jealous since, after all, we were there first damn it (plus with a better lineup in general). Should have just committed to Korea instead of scattering the players all over the world, but it's too late now. ='(

I suppose FXO is likable enough to represent the foreigners. I doubt they will be competitive enough initially, it'll probably be quite ugly - but if they persist and train hard (as in Korean hard) for several months, they can make something happen.

I'm very happy for QXC though, can't wait to see him grow as a player once he's fully dedicated to Starcraft.

It wouldn't have mattered who or what was announced as people would have whined and moaned regardless. Whining and moaning is the only consistent part of any community.

Yeah, cool FXO! I wish you all good luck. Really awesome to see a foreign team competing in Korea. If someone would have said something like this 1 year ago they would have been called crazy.

Team Liquid set a lot of precedence when they went over to Korea. Unfortunately, the infrastructure wasn't (and still isn't there) to quite make a foreigner move to Korea as smooth as possible. As a result, I think that's why a lot of the 'first generation' of foreigners such as Idra and TLO left, as it was too stressful in Korea (among other reasons.)

But fact is, if NO ONE goes over to Korea and everyone just waits for others to set up that infrastructure, nothing will ever get done. FXO is furthering what Team Liquid started. Everyone is on the same side here: they just want to see Esports get bigger and for GSL to be more global.

I'd expect them to be middle of the pack for the GSTL, and it'll take them a few matches to get their "sea legs" in. Once all of them are effectively in a team-house, they should improve rapidly and be ready for the team games. If GSTL stays as "Winner stays", they're going to have problems with the teams with a Top 5 player, but they can still do it.

So, BoSS & FXO have some serious balls doing this. They deserve our support. So, go kick some ass!

...What?

Moonglade went to Korea and got absolutely destroyed. He didn't win against any Koreans at all. Got killed in the World Championship team game. Got destroyed in the Word Championship tournament. Got destroyed in Code A. Not saying he's a bad player, but that's just crazy to say Moonglade is better than freaking Huk who is in Code S and has beaten San and MMA in back-to-back matches. Jinro has been in two GSL Ro4's.
