Therefore it is an ill-advised plan to participate in the gstl. Basically if Moonglade isn't attending a c player of any korean team is gonna all kill them. The only teams i would like to see go their and who would hadf a shot would be foremost mouzsports, dignitas liquid, eg and maybe mym any other foreign team is gonna get utterly destroyed. so in the next gstl fxo is gonna get raped and thereby emberasss the whole foreign community. It's a senseless endeavour for them.
Terrible grammar and language aside, I don't understand the conclusion that FXO is worse than all the teams in the EG Master's Cup because they weren't invited. It seems to be a conclusion a lot of people on these forums make about a lot of foreign players. For one, Liquid is not in the Master's Cup, yet they have 1 player in Code S and MLG winner (HuK), 1 top 4 GSL finisher and MLG winner (Jinro), 1 player who is tearing up NASL and has had excellent performances at MLG and other foreign events (Ret), and that is without even mentioning TLO (!) and Haypro.
Let's face it, FXO have not had a chance to show their true skill, but all you have to do is look at MLG Dallas for a taste test. They had 3 players break through the open bracket and finish top 24 with better win-loss ratios than the majority of people who finished above them.
Hype/PR machine =/= Skill
I am so excited about this team league, regardless of what happens.

I think it's great that the players will try to qualify in code A, too bad Sheth won't.. How long are they staying?

I get more excited about this every day.

I can hardly wait to see more foreigners competing in korea I hope they do well in the GSTL and that they qualify for code a! good luck FXO! I'm especially looking forward to how Tgun will do Go write some LOL with pylons for me!

I love Sheth. He's one of my favorite players, and the nicest guy on the planet as we all know. I would KILL to see him compete in Code A. And I *know* he'd get there.

So,... I'm looking over the posts in this thread and I just can't believe my eyes. For so long I've been wishing for more foreigners to go to Korea(and I'm sure so has most of the TL community), and now, FXO is sending THEIR ENTIRE TEAM!!! But instead of being happy about this, there are so many negative reactions. Aparently FXO is going to embarrass the foreigner scene?
Tell me, how would you have estimated Slayers' chances after the first GSTL? Not very high, right. Well, now they won two. Hell, even fou performed above expectations in the last GSTL.
But simply because FXO has a few lesser known members, they don't have a chance?? How many of you gave Thorzain a chance in his TSL games?
I look forward to see some of these new players perform and watch them make this community into their fans!

I know its good to be optimistic and strive to be the best but sometimes you just have to set ACHIEVABLE and ATTAINABLE goals. Not just goals that may be very far out of reach or else dissapointment will come ... I mean it's going to take quite a while to get use to the korea metagame. Not going to be overnight you go from a decent team with potential to a winner.

I am pretty sure they are aware of that.
You know, maybe- just maybe, this is exactly the reason they chose this move rather than sitting around, being satisfied with mediocrity and worship the mammon.

Does that mean that moonglade will also be there? :D

Seeing that the korea vs the world tournament almost saw the koreans lose I think this is a great idea. I think Artosis makes a great matchmaker and I think FXO should look into consulting the wikipedia himself.

Sheth said yesterday in TL-Attack that he hopes to qualify for code A through MLG Columbus so we may still get a chance to see him in code A if he does finish with a good placement. So lets hope Sheth fighting!

I hate to be that guy but both foreigners and koreans said that the koreans didn't take the team thing seriously. Look at the actual tournament, all foreigners but one was out in the first round. (if i remember correctly)

Good luck to you guys, I hope you do well and get some great starcraft experience and knowledge from this.

Sorry I can't read 57 pages and look if this has been answered but does this mean that Sase, Naniwa or other people who will go to Korea in the near future won't play for you as mercs?
