What! Sheth isnt trying out for code a? what else could he possibly have in terms of commitments while in korea? I dont get it, at first i was thinking NASL finals, but then other top korean players are going to be there as well so im pretty sure GSL is going to be working around that schedule.

Obviously there is a good reason im just wondering what it is.

Best of luck to FXO. That is a huge commitment, I hope they do well and improve in the competitive environment. Great step for foreigner SC2.

I love the fact that Foreign teams are going to korea, but FXO is a poor choice. I prey they do not get smoked. It would be bad for them. For the foreign scene, and Koreans opinions of the foreign scene. On second thought this is a terrible idea. I'll be watching with my hands over my face peeking between fingers hoping this goes well.

Not sure how you could think that this venture could have such a negative impact, but I hope we can change your mind! We'll be trying our best to change your opinion.

i was cynical at first, but wow fxo guys are really turning the hate directed to them into love. i really respect them for it. i really can't hate on them now. best of luck at trying to change the public opinion on this. im sure even koreans would root for the only foreign team there. glglglgl

It wasn't a "choice". FXO was the only team willing to send enough players to Korea and you should give them at least some credit for that.

the time spent there is gonna make them improve MILES... they'll probably come back from this experience as some of the most dangerous players outside of korea

Wait, two? I know that Moonan is Korean, but Slog is listed as a US player on TLPD and Liquipedia.

I love that so much! More foreigners in Korea, especially in the awesome format of a Team League, I'm going to follow the next GSTL very closely!
I don't care if they get smashed or if they win the whole thing (and I hope they do), I'm just happy to see a foreign team there and hopefully, others teams will see an opportunity and do the same in the future.

I see it quite different. A bad showing at the gstl of Fxo is gonna reflect bad on the foreign scene in korea. Therefore it is an ill-advised plan to participate in the gstl. No dissrespect to the FXO members but any1 else then moonglade cant compete with the koreans the line up is so bad that they didnt get an invite to Eg Masterscup. Basically if Moonglade isn't attending a c player of any korean team is gonna all kill them. The only teams i would like to see go their and who would hadf a shot would be foremost mouzsports, dignitas liquid, eg and maybe mym any other foreign team is gonna get utterly destroyed. so in the next gstl fxo is gonna get raped and thereby emberasss the whole foreign community. It's a senseless endeavour for them.

As a fellow german, I would like to apologize on his behalf. His bad showing onn these forums reflects badly on the global perceptions of germans. It was ill-advised to provide him with a platform and means to communicate. /sarcasm

What. Is. Wrong. With. You? You sit lazily around just as the praised teams you are mentioning. Teams you would have liked to go but oddly enough lack the guts to do it. Teams that don't go the extra mile and make things work. Teams that for some reason or another are ludicrous enough not to see having been in KR as big, if not the most beneficial long-term investment. Gaming wise as well as from a business perspective. Sure you can make money now. Milk the cow while the foreign competition is weak enough. But just don't you complain when others turns out miles ahead in the long run.

I really am furious how some people can be that fed up with their petty 1st world problems. You wouldn't be able to watch all the content from the comfort of your home if it wasn't for the countless of pioneers that have paved the way up until now. I guess, that's why we can't have nice things. Self-acclaimed realists, nay-sayers that at the same time demand to be supplied with pitch-perfect entertainment 24/7. Disgusting.

This is such a great post, it definitely deserves more love.

FXO is really going to shut the nay-sayers up when they defeat a big name team.

They are not a 1 man team or anything stupid like that. They have a highly talented line-up of players that can and will take several games off Koreans.

FXO is a great team that constantly provides players with great opportunities to compete and IMPROVE. I believe playing in harder scenarios is a great way to improve your own competitive spirit, particularly in the prestigious GSTL. If FXO loses first round the only thing they lose is the air fare and time commitment (which doesn't matter for any player minus Sheth who are all competing in the Code A quals.

also FXOboss is truly the boss for making this happen

They are Korean-Americans and have lived in the US for a very long time (9+ years or so I believe!) and consider themselves Americans (or at least both Korean and American)
