ZENEX.
What is that supposed to tell us?
It's completely unrealistic to expect FXO to beat even ZeNEX until they've spent a couple of months getting their players in the right shape to compete in the Korean scene.

And as soon as FXO gets there, the Korean government snatches up Moonan and Slog and makes them do 2 yr military service

great news! I don't know if the team will do extremely well in the 1st GSTL they enter, but they will benefit hugely from living in a pro-house in korea like this! Great to see ALOT more foreigners at the GSL!

Wow this is really interesting. I'm not sure what to think yet but I'm pretty excited for the next GSTL.

History has shown that gstl is more about hard work and practice than pure "skill" (whatever that means). I think FXO will surprise a lot of people because of this. Negative comments will only fuel the fire. Grats to FXO, we are behind you.

A great stepping stone for foreign players in Korea. I am happy to see a foreign team taking initiative. Hopefully they don't give up because at first it's going to be a bumpy ride. I don't expect much right off the bat but a win here and a win there is exactly what they need to jump start their career in Korea. It's just like any other team, there are times when nobody from a Korean pro team gets into Code S or gets past round of 32 or something. They just go home and practice harder so I laud FXO for their efforts.

Errrrrrrr. FXO's lineup is okay and all but they are going to get raped by the korean teams. Nobody on that line up can handel any of the Korean teams from what i've seen so far.

Thought it would be sixjax

I see it quite different. A bad showing at the gstl of Fxo is gonna reflect bad on the foreign scene in korea. Therefore it is an ill-advised plan to participate in the gstl. No dissrespect to the FXO members but any1 else then moonglade cant compete with the koreans the line up is so bad that they didnt get an invite to Eg Masterscup. Basically if Moonglade isn't attending a c player of any korean team is gonna all kill them. The only teams i would like to see go their and who would hadf a shot would be foremost mouzsports, dignitas liquid, eg and maybe mym any other foreign team is gonna get utterly destroyed. so in the next gstl fxo is gonna get raped and thereby emberasss the whole foreign community. It's a senseless endeavour for them.

I wish the best of luck to FXO! IMO It might be incredibly hard at first but with enough time invested in it, I could see FXO being pretty decent. Sheth, QXC and Moonglade are all good players.
FXO FIGHTING!

This is great.
Altought i agree FXO may ot be on par with the Korean teams, this should be a great experience for them.
Wish them all the luck and hope they can surprise us
Sheth FIGHTING!!!

qxc i 0-7 in nasl, last in his group. how did you figure he would be high code A or low code S? He's just finished school, and the last months are when you have the most work, so I assume he's been pretty wrapped up in that. He's performed pretty well in tournaments in Starcraft 2 and definitely has the potential be in code S if he puts the work in. Personally I disagree that any of the 3 listed are currently even high Code A, but I think Sheth and qxc are both good enough to at least win the first round of Code A, and if they get some luck with the brackets, qualify for the up/down matches, and they both have the potential to make it into code S.

Best of luck to you FXO, I'm looking forward to you guys putting up some good games

I have little knowledge on the depth of your team so I can't back up my preconceptions on what will happen at the start.
I applaud you for risking the time, energy, money and reputation needed to do this.
From my studies of people migrating to foreign countries to do something important you have to do everything to not isolate yourself from the surrounding culture. Interacting as much as you can with the Koreans will make the adjustments needed to live there and succeed much easier.
Meet that minimum and do whatever you think is best to succeed as a group and you will definitely become an above average team, maybe even champions. Good luck.

i think culturechange wont be a problem with slug and moonan

Interesting to hear about that mercenary system that they want to get going over there, would be interesting to see who would come up to the standards of the Korean teams.
And also go FXO! Fuck negativity, whatever people's qualms are, there's going to be a foreign team in the GSTL. That's all I need to know to be hyped. It helps that Sheth is on FXO and is baller.

Whether FXO has success or not in the GSTL, they have the balls to aim for the top, which is more than I can say of most foreign players and teams these days.

As a fellow german, I would like to apologize on his behalf. His bad showing onn these forums reflects badly on the global perceptions of germans. It was ill-advised to provide him with a platform and means to communicate. /sarcasm
What. Is. Wrong. With. You? You sit lazily around just as the praised teams you are mentioning. Teams you would have liked to go but oddly enough lack the guts to do it. Teams that don't go the extra mile and make things work. Teams that for some reason or another are ludicrous enough not to see having been in KR as big, if not the most beneficial long-term investment. Gaming wise as well as from a business perspective. Sure you can make money now. Milk the cow while the foreign competition is weak enough. But just don't you complain when others turns out miles ahead in the long run.
I really am furious how some people can be that fed up with their petty 1st world problems. You wouldn't be able to watch all the content from the comfort of your home if it wasn't for the countless of pioneers that have paved the way up until now. I guess, that's why we can't have nice things. Self-acclaimed realists, nay-sayers that at the same time demand to be supplied with pitch-perfect entertainment 24/7. Disgusting.

Thank you to FXO for investing in your players and giving them the tools to become better. The one thing I feel that non-Korean teams are missing is the practice, work ethic and training systems necessary to compete at the highest level. This will give your entire team to see what the other teams are doing first hand, and that is an incredible experience to learn from. This can do nothing but benefit your team long term.
It's just so awesome seeing a team invest in their players, so awesome indeed.
