Tt eSPORTS Global Superstar White-Ra Comes to Thermaltake HQ
Today, in Thermaltake Headquarters we were very glad to have a visit from our Tt eSPORTS sponsored Starcraft 2 player Aleksey "White-Ra" Krupnyk. Aleksey became a member of the Tt eSPORTS family shortly after his appearance at our booth at Cebit 2011.
Aleksey "White-Ra" Krupnyk hails from the Ukraine and is one of the most popular and well respected Starcraft players who is known as the "Beast from the East". White-Ra has one of the biggest fan bases in Starcraft 2 and is a great representative of Tt eSPORTS where he is often seen wearing the Tt eSPORTS SHOCK headset and using the MEKA G1 keyboard when competing at events like IEM and Dreamhack Invitationals.
In Thermaltake HQ Aleksey met with Thermaltake CEO Kenny Lin and Tt eSPORTS Director Tony Liu to discuss his visit to Taiwan where he received a Tt Apollo's jacket and officially joined as part of the family.
White-Ra shall also be attending Computex and taking an active part in the Thermaltake/Tt eSPORTS booth activities which will be occurring over the 5 day Technology exhibit. Computex should see some fun competitions and will also bring some of the world's best Starcraft 2 players to the booth where in co-operation with Blizzard there will be a hosted Starcraft 2 tournament.
After Aleksey's meeting he was given a tour around Thermaltake Headquarters and was shown into the gaming arena where he got to try all the current and upcoming products including the Tt eSPORTS Gamer Bag, MEKA G-UNIT and Azurues Mini in our HQ's very own in-house LAN arena and battle booths.
Tt eSPORTS are looking forward to seeing Aleksey "White-Ra" Krupnyk in action over the next week as he goes on a tour of Taiwan until he attends Computex between the 31st May and 4th June. Come Visit us at Computex where we will be putting on a fantastic show, highlighting all of our latest and upcoming products and of course you can meet our very own Aleksey "White-Ra" Krupnyk and take home some great Tt eSPORTS give-aways.
Yeah he will probably keep the same name and since adding TT to his ID at all would look like he was crying I don't want him to use that at all! lol Congrats WhiteRa, more sponsor's the merrier

Though can someone tell me why does the Taiwanese teams have huge rooms/sets for their teams whilst SlayerS_BoxeR lives in a bunkbed in the SlayerS house? Is there that much more sponsoring outside Korea?

TTWHITERA!!! so glad to not see duckloadra anymore, no one really called him anything but whitera anyways. Also glad he's taking another step forward with that awesome jacket
Awesome. All my gaming builds so far have been housed inside of my original Xaser III full tower ("The Blue Bunker"). 7x80mm fans with controllers and filters, I love that thing and will never ever give it up. THERMALTAKE+WHITE-RA=AWESOME

It is wonderfully awesome how White-Ra has fully embraced the re-emergence of "special tectics" after so many fans started using it after that SotG episode. He is such a baller.
One day I'm still hoping to see TLAF White-Ra But I think its great he joined TT Esports, just hoping that being a "one man team" won't hurt him too much due to lack of consistent practice with strong teammates. Does anyone know other TT Esports lineup? is it strong?

LoL! WhiteRA is the most awesome player in the planet <3

Well, if we have to judge based on his performance, he's always been solo afaik, and he always has done outstandingly in tournaments. I think he's doing fine with just 'online' practice, I'm sure that all EU pro's will practice with him, just because he's so well mannered and good.

better he join a new and up coming team with lots of potential than one who seems to be collapsing..

People like you need to start posting sources with your claims.
Congrats to Whitera, well deserved considering his strong skill caliber and experience in the starcraft scene for the last 10 years and still finding him self greately challanged and entertained. This guy is awesome :D

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too, he probably doesn't have hard time finding practice partners, but them not being consistent may still be a negative. But as you said, he's been doing fine as is
This is great news for Tt eSPORTS! We have all known they have great gear and that they're really into supporting the growth of StarCraft II but this is a huge step forward I did not expect from them - thank you so much Tt!
TT Esports - the general esports sponsorship TT Apollos - the Taiwanese TESL team ... sponsored by TT Esports? White-Ra - sponsored by TT Esports ... and joining TT Apollos (who are also sponsored by TT Esports)

Just think of it as Steelseries sponsoring a bunch of different teams and also sponsoring the one-man-team Grubby. He's not part of any team but is solely sponsored by Steelseries.
"Aleksey "White-Ra" Krupnyk hails from the Ukraine and is one of the most popular and well respected Starcraft players who is known as the "Beast from the East"."
Should read: hails from Ukraine and is..." the is unnecessary when stating Ukraine. You don't say the Uganda. I know it's nit-picking but still... it's a constant mistake that is prevalent across all media.
Good for the most entertaining streamer out there :-) Get more sponsors, compete in more tournaments. I dont care what his name has to be like, but as long as WhiteRa can attend and compete in a lot of tournaments with high level players, i am really happy for him and for me :-p
On May 27 2011 05:08 darlhet wrote: i hope white ra changed his mind about leaving the game within one year... someone should ask him regarding that topic
I am sure, that as long as he can make really good money and can compete on a really high level, neither he nor his wife would consider ending his progamer career.

Ya... it'll be a sad day when he quits. Hopefully it's not for awhile but I do remember him sounding like he is getting close to being done.
Pro: I get to see him named "WhiteRa" again. Con: I don't get to hear "Duckload" jokes and Day[9] constantly laughing when he says it.
Pro: More money for one of my favorite players. Con: Not too fond of TteSports because I haven't heard great things about their products and don't want one of my favorite players forced to use them.
Pro: More money, as I said. Con: WhiteRa is no longer as unique. I loved him as a kind of "lone wolf" player that stood out so much (he still does, but you know what I mean).

He was sponsored by Thermaltake for some time, he was already using their products aswell for sometime

He already used their products for quite a while. If I read the announcement properly they were in fact already sponsoring him, I suppose they now just offer him more money and be the main sponsor or something like that =)

If TTEsports sponsored TT1, I wonder how that would work.
41.
Well played sir.
Man does WhiteRa ever get around :p. Good for him, I was tempted to buy their mice and keyboards awhile back, but decided otherwise, may reconsider if enough gets out for reviews.

I'm using their mouse and keyboard, and really like them, especially the keyboard (but the mouse is very comfy too). White-Ra also uses their stuff (a bit different from mine), and from asking him privately about the devices, he really enjoys them too. So I wouldn't dismiss their stuff like that..
prices are nice too.. Ra's mouse costs $45, mine is 65, and I really don't see how its worse than $100 mice. Keyboard was a bit expensive at 99 (MEKA short version), but so are most of other mechanical keyboards
o.o Tt eSPORTS? hmm they must give white-ra a huge amount of money. I would expect him to join EG or Fnatic or Mouz or sth. Does Tt eSPORTS has other good competitive players at america or europe?

he left mouz not that long ago, so i doubt he'd come back that soon
it's much cooler to be sponsored directly like whitera and grubby! I think it's only cool and popular players can achieve such sponsorship. TLO has also been directly sponsored. So TLO, Whitera and Grubby are in a team of their own.
Too bad that White-Ra cannot stay in Taiwan to play the taiwanese league. I think he would dominate it, alongside sen (sen is playing in the taiwanese league now, right?).
What's White Ra doing here? Thought he was pointing out where he's from or something, but I believe Ukraine is east of where he's pointing.
He's plotting out his next course to world domination.
"This is where we build the second base. Only put two gateways here, the other ten will be hidden near France. Spehsul tektiks, is fine, you see."
I have the BIGGEST smile on my face now. White-RA deserves all the attention and sponsoring he gets and more. He will always have a very strong support from the community since he almost always plays to "make a gudd gaym for ze commyunity".
Also, he is pointing at Ukraine. Maybe you NA people didn't know
But seriously, hopefully this entices White-ra to stay in the game a bit longer, though I have a feeling when he's done no amount of sponsorships will satisfy him.

He is still a lone wolf, he isnt joining the team, just getting sponsorship for his "one man team".

PS.
ohh look, we can even see the word DUCKLOAD on the tshirt elbow on that picture.. not too sure how to call it xD surprised no one noticed that before people started saying he was still with duckload as well.
Ok here is a statement from WhiteRa regarding the name and sponsors:
"I am happy to announce my new sponsors TT eSports and Asrock. To stop any speculation, I want to point out that Duckload will continue to support me together with these awesome companies. My name on the ladder and in tournaments will remain unchanged - DuckloadRa. TtWhiteRa is a special account that will be used only on Taiwan servers."

Oh damn I was hoping we could see him play under the hybrid name:
White-Ra the boss in the red jacket, congrats on the pickup And when you do retire, make a bonjwa team, like what Boxer is in the process of Call them White-Ra's Minions
Awesome to see this since duckload never really showed themselves and these guys seem to be very open and like to show off big things like signing WhiteRa, also am glad he got his name back I really hated that duckloadra stuff, I can block out the Tt to notice his name instead of how it was before! lol :D Congrats special tactics fighting!

AFAIK WhiteRa has been using Tt gear for a while. With Tt pushing themselves further into the ESPORTS world I imagine they just worked out being a good fit, not forcing whitera to forsake duckload while giving him some nice benefits.
This is really cool news. Congrats to both whitera and TT for this. It's really cool to see more teams having players from all corners of the world. Between stuff like this and the whole mercenary thing that the GSTL is doing, I hope that we start seeing an even more global SC2 scene.
People just dont seem to understand that WHITE RA did not Join TT Esports team he just has them as Sponsors and he will keep being DUCKLOADRA also the mods dont seem to want to stop this confusion after me and some other guy already posted his facebook statement Lazy maybe? LoL
I will re-post WhiteRa's statement again. He really wants that this is heard and understood.

Many thanks for congratulations, but plz let's stop these gamble. I join to Duckload in August after coming SC2 and Duckload support me 9 months and it is more than I get from all commands more than 8 years (In Starcraft).
I used and I will use DuckloadRa on tournaments. But here In Taiwan I using Tt.White-Ra. Tt eSPORTS and ASrock now my official sponsors to.
And big thx for supporting! I try back my stream as soon as possible !l!

Nice! Thanks for clearing that up, Duckload fighting! Tt fighting! White-ra fighting!
White-ra is on our national TV right now! Don't know if there is a justin TV stream for you guys to watch our Tesl league. He is about to play an exhibition match vs Power, another old timer RTS player close to his thirties. It will be a PvT.
Only thing I'll miss if he doesn't have Duckload in his ID is Day9 commentating and calling him Duckload instead of White-Ra, was funny to me for some reason. "And here comes Duckload with his signature warp prism play".
White-ra deserves every sponsor ever. What a mannered guy, an example to us all. Really happy for him. And I'm also glad he is still using duckloadra. I like it.

Many thanks to you white-ra for the amazing games and also being an amazing person, you deserve every sponsor u get and good luck to you in anything you do in the future.

I'm really glad to hear about this, during the beta I grew quite fond of white-ra as a player, and although he occasionally won some great tournaments I just wasn't hearing much about him these days. Keep it up whitera! you're an excellent member of the community and I wish you the best!
