I just use a portable space heater when I play Starcraft 2. It's funny because I've had people walk into my room and say that it's an inferno but I'm perfectly comfortable as long as I'm playing.

What about trying to get hand warmers that the Koreans use, hope that helps.

My hands always turn to ice once I start playing 1v1 games, for some odd reason if I play custom games I'm fine.

My solution for cold hands is below. I use rapid relief creams that are for sore necks on my hands to immediately heat them up.

I started using those hot relief creams by mistake. I sit in-front of a computer for 9 hours a day for work, so when I come home and start playing Starcraft 2 my neck starts to get really sore. One day I was putting some hot relief on my neck and shoulders and I continued to play shorty after. It was not until maybe 6-7 games I realized my hands were not cold at all. I soon realized it was because I had the hot relief cream on my hands from when I rubbed it on my neck.

Now when my hands get cold I put some hot relief on them and I'm good to go.

either you are in a cold room or It is the adrenalin that is doing that. When you are nervous or excited adrenalin kicks in and can cause the following:
cold hands
sweaty hands
shaking limbs
etc.
the best ways to combat adrenalin is by
burning it off by moving around a lot or do pushups etc.
eating lots of bananas-2 bananas plus another one an hour b4 u play will keep u calm (idk why but it works, i can attest to first hand experience with this)
massaging your middle finger knuckle on your hand
LAST RESORT-beta blockers

Being a singer I deal with the adrenalin from performing frequently and these are ways that work ESPECIALLY the bananas.
Good news. I figured out what that thing you just incinerated did. It was a Morality Core they installed after I flooded the enrichment center with a deadly neurotoxin to make me stop flooding the enrichment center with a deadly neurotoxin.

I get a heating pad, put it next to my desk and in between games I have it rolled into a cylinder shape in my lap and put my hands inside. Blow dryer would get so damn annoying after a while, I couldn't do it.

I am the only person I know that gets cold when playing video games, so its good to hear other people do too.

I have never found a solution to this besides sticking my hands under my shirt up against my belly for warming them up when I get chances

Its not just adrenaline. Sitting inactive at a computer playing something like starcraft is just about the worst thing for circulation, which leads to cold hands. There's
1. adrenaline, screws with circulation
2. blood pooling in your legs (like when you're sitting on an airplane for a long time w/o moving)
3. moving around your fingers so much can constrict the vessels in your hands (they're small and relatively exposed)

Worst of all, some people (like me) have something called Raynaud's which basically means that when I start getting cold at all, or getting reduced circulation, the blood flow to fingers/toes restricts even further, in a feedback loop.

As for solutions, I haven't really found any decent ones. Some good suggestions in the thread though.

Isnt it just bad posture? At my setup at home I never get cold hands, but everything is perfect there, chair correct height, arm rests, mouse and keyboard spacing. At work, not-so-much, chair slightly too low, spacing bad and cold hands.

My hands are normally ALWAYS cold, like litreally always (I'm a very slim person) so when I first start gaming I run the hot water in the sink and put my hands in to warm them up. Gaming itself warms them up so once I'm good to go they'll normally stay warm from constant playing.

My hands only actually ever get cold when it is the winter. Which it is right now. Guess how I solve the problem is by actually playing faster it seems to warm my hands up. Only problem with that is that it makes me more tired after the game. Its so annoying to type with cold hands, so playing StarCraft with cold hands just worse

Whenever I'm about to play in a tournament I literally have to stick my hands in front of my space heater for a good 3 minutes. I don't know how I'm going to survive at columbus.

No I don't have that problem my hands stay warm throughout the entire time I play but I do get sweaty hands. So I keep a towel near by and wash my hands every few games. Can't stand not having clean hands makes me feel more comfortable.

My hands are cold just when I start playing. After playing for a little, however, I get the exact opposite problem, my hands sweat really badly and i need to wash them often because I dont like my keyboard or mouse getting all grimy.

It's the adrenaline channeling the majority of your blood into your legs in case you need to run away. I actually don't get this, guess my ancestors were smart enough to never be near lions and shit.

I have the same problem, and it's not just the cold hands. Laddering makes me feel extremely anxious and because of it I'm unable to play many games (although I'd love to, the game is awesome).

Guess it's just a psychological thing that gets better by just playing a lot, but for me it's hard to play a lot because of it so it's very annoying.
