But , in practice, I'm a bit dubious about how this will all work out. What if the foreign players selected for code S/A don't want to spend their time in Korea playing the GSL ? Several foreign players have already stated on numerous occasions that they are not really interested in playing the GSL (cause playing in it means you're basically forced to stay in Korea and have little time for other tournaments). What about the Korean (players and viewers) reactions about this ? Iirc, they were not really happy when some foreign players where automatically seeded into code A and I'm not sure they'll like it either (I can understand them). The fact that the MLG tournament structure is flawed and gives an unfair advantage to seeded players won't really help convincing people that selected players really deserve to play in the GSL either. I'm also wondering about how the up/down matches will work with the fact code S can be given to a player not in the GSL formerly. It should be answered soon though. Yeah, there's a lot of negativity in this post but well, someone had to do this ![]()

Ok so none of my friends are into SC2 nor eSports. However I think I could coax a few to go for one day. So if I purchase 2x Spectator passes can I use one for myself for all 3 days and the other for whoever I can manage to come with me the other 3?

What a great way to integrate the scenes and bring Korean interest to foreign tournmanets and foreign interest to the GSL. Poor Huk though, had to work that hard at GSL when he could have just won an MLG hahaha (which he has done in the past) edit. Literally no way a foreigner wins this tourny now. haha especially since they are seeded into the pools. I think it isn't "just", MLG level has been quite high for a while now.

Also, what happens with the code S spot? Is it an up/down seeding or directly into the next GSL season? Either way, some player has to make room if someone currently not in code S (oops, non-Korean applies only to the code A seeds, apparently) wins.

Yeah, there's a lot of negativity in this post but well, someone had to do this ![]() Yeah, these were the two things that worried me as well. If Idra comes in the top 4, for instance, I'm not sure if he want to go back to Korea for a month. I guess if this happens they will just let the person who came after him go, but then it loses a bit of integrity which in itself will multiply the second issue you brought up, how Koreans will feel when they hear this. I'm sure it will work out fine in the end though, initiatives like this really push sc2 forward.
