Right and when you look at what Demuslim has done then there's....OH wait he hasn't done anything significant in starcraft.

China and if not quite yet they will be soon.
And if the Chinese really take a liking in SC2 they could get as big or bigger than Korea.

They need a World Cup style tournament in eSports. Events like ESWC and WCG don't count. Those are basically just international tournaments, and not country vs. country. I think that would be sick.

Anyways, my vote would be Sweden.

I'm confident if there was a team league (of any format) of international teams excluding Korea, Sweden would win at least 75% of all their matches.

I'd love nothing more than to see a TEAM SWEDEN in the GSTL at some point.

We need team league for nations, that would be sick !
But I think that Sweden got the best non-korean players + there are so many of them, not just in SC2. then I think its Germany - Ukraine - USA - Poland maybe

I think it would be Sweden too, Naniwa, Thorzain, Morrow, Jinro, Sjow;

Team Sweden would be really hard to deal with if it came to a nationality team tournament lol.

Canada, without me being too biased because I love this country; Has good players but most notably HuK, KiWiKaKi , Drewbie, and Stalife.

HuK being our all-star most improved player by far would be our ace.

But Honestly you can't count out any foreign players in that sense because you never know what could happen.

The qxc all-kill against IM really shocked the hell out of me; you never know what to expect.

I'm just happy to see a foreign player beat a high level Korean pro because it shows we have potential.

If it comes down to you or them, send flowers.

So much european bias lol.

People actually making strong impacts at most tournaments are people from

1) Korea (obviously)
2) Sweden / USA / Ukraine
3) China / Germany / Poland
4) Canada / France

I sort of group Huk into USA, but IdrA, sheth, rain, Huk, and qxc have all had pretty good tournament presence / rankings, and i would say on par numbers with sweden as of now.

Its kind of spread out across the entire globe

You've got idra from the US
Huk from canada
stephano from france
whiteRA and Kas from ukraine

they are the best foreigners to be honest. sweden has a lot of good pros but no "super pros" if you know what I mean.

I'd have to say the best is ukraine because it has the best protoss and terran in europe.

It makes me think that sc2 is going to end up like sc1 in korea.

We've already got way more korean uber pros, hero, DRG, Nestea, MMA, MVP. That's already more than uber pro's than the entire foreign scene.

LOL, so Adelscott, ToD, MoMaN, Aures, KenZy, Sarens is worse then Combat-Ex and HairZerg (I heard that nick the first time ever on TL...) ?

I do not think so, buddy. France is on par, if not better then Canada.

For Canada you can make a good team too:
HuK, Kiwikaki, TT1, Drewbie, JF (does he still play some?)

I think it would be close in an all-kill format Canada vs France. Pretty even:

HuK =< Stephano
Kiwikaki = ToD
TT1 >= Sarens
Drewbie >= MoMaN
JF = Aures/KenZy

Imho.

My top 10 (with 5 players each):

1) Sweden (Naniwa, SaSe, Morrow, ThorZaiN, (Sjow/Bischu/Jimpo/JinrO/merZ one of these) )
2) Ukraine (White-Ra, Kas, DIMAGA, Strelok, (Bly/Alf/HappyZerg) )
3) Poland (MaNa, Nerchio, Tarson, Diestar, Tefel/ParanOid/Slider)
4) France (Stephano, ToD, Sarens, MoMaN, KenZy)
5) Canada (HuK, TT1, Drewbie, Kiwikaki, JF)
6) Germany (Socke, HasuObs, DarKForCe, GoOdy, Delphi/Mondragon/XlorD/RINE)
7) USA (IdrA, Sheth, qxc, Attero, Gatored)
8) BeNeLux (Grubby, Ret, Feast, DabOo, Orly)
9) Finland (Naama, Satinii, Fuzer, elfi, SeiN)
10) Russia (Brat_OK, TitaN, Aristeo, slivko , Abver/VERDI/Roll/Ho8ot)

Rank 8-10 is really close tho.

Sweden!

But seriously, we have alot of good players .

ThorZaIN, Naniwa, Sase, Morrow, Jinro, (SjoW, Merz, Bischu ->list goes on)

Man i would love to see a National Team League where countries can battle it out with teams of say 5-10 players. That would be AWESOME

Furthermore, I think the Collosi should be removed! (Zorgaz -Terran/AbrA-Random/Zorg-Dota2) Guineapigs <3

...I'm kind of puzzled why you consider whitera/kas "super pros" but not Naniwa. 1st at MLG Global/2nd at MLG providence...neither Whitera nor Kas have had any tournament wins in a place with a korean presence, which seems to be what you define as a "super pro."

This is really a tough question to settle because different tournament formats and the variables of a team league mean that the "best team" on paper doesn't always pan out - look at GSTL.

While there's lot of talk about the US being overrated, you can never underestimate US players. There's the obvious top lineup for Idra, Sheth, qxc, and Gatored, but you have those like Trimaster or wbc that can always snipe/pull off upsets out of nowhere (trimaster beating idra/hwangsin, wbc beating Oz, hell even Gatored's great performance being so recent). There's a lot of talent that just doesn't get that much exposure, imo.

Of course, Sweden, Ukraine, and Poland are up there. France, while having a solid enough lineup, doesn't exactly have many players with strong wins in big tournaments besides Stephano - this could be an issue of exposure like the US, but the plenitude of european tournaments says otherwise.

Awhile ago Germany would've been near the top, but players like Socke, Darkforce, and TLO are all a bit far from their last big tournament performances. If Canada had Huk, they'd be solid, too. Huk, Kiwikaki, Slush, Drewbie, TT1, dde. Of course, my bias would want Huk on the US team ^^, in which the US would really be a force to reckon with.

I also think a lot of people are underrating China. At WCG, the Chinese players seemed to be consistently a level above others (with the exception of the koreans of course).

Personally, I'd put:
1. China
2. Sweden
3. US
4. Ukraine
5. Poland
6. France
7. Germany
8. Canada

[last 4 are pretty arbitrarily arranged, and #3 is if US has Huk, otherwise I'd say it'd be the last 5 that could be interchangeable]
