Sweden,Ukraine and from there its a little harder for me to deside. When looking at amount of players compared to the amount of top gamers produced some countries should be doing far far better :X

I think ATM the swedes are holding down #1. They were good in BW too, on iccup they were always on of the top countries.

It's hard to tell, but if you disregard earnings, medals, population etc and go purely for lineup (like BoX team format) my list would look something like this:

1. Sweden - a lineup of Jinro, Sjow, Naniwa, Morrow, Thorzain (Lalush, Bischu, Haypro) both has huge depth and starpower.

2. Ukraine - The beastly four, White-ra, Dimaga, Strelok and Kas, these names have been dropped again and again in this thread, all extremely solid players with a good mix of races. Yeah, that does look very scary indeed, but it doesn't have the much depth, are there other good Ukrainian players?

3. Germany - German efficiency, right: Socke, Hasuobs, Goody, TLO, Darkforce (Mondragon) makes for a solid, stable, always performing line-up, but lacks a bit of punch, if Germany had a real superstar like White-ra they'd be on top of my list.

4. Canada - Huk, Kiwikaki, TT1, Drewbie, Slush (Stalife, dde) is looking very good also, the three protoss all being monsters.

5. Poland - Everyone seems to forget Poland! Mana and Tarson backed by players like Nerchio and Diestar makes for a dangerous lineup, with both some starpower and solidity.

6. France - Moman, Saracens, Adelscott, Stephano seems like a light version of the Ukraine lineup, with the same solidity, but lacking some real punch

7. USA - I got stuck for a while after "Idra,", but USA has an nearly unlimited pool of upcoming talent, and could at any moment explode into being a top tier country, right now the line-up would perhaps look something like this: Idra, Qxc, Incontrol, Cruncher, which isn't looking bad, but not too hot either

8. Russia - My knowledge of the Russian scene is limited, but power players like Brat_ok and the new face Happy along with lesser known, but surely talented players out of Russia could do pretty good

9. Finland - Finland could scrape together a great, solid lineup with Namaa, Satiini and Elfi.

10. Holland - Grubby and Ret have strong backs, they could carry many lesser players and still do well.

Sweden have dominated the foreigner scene throughout sc2 with jinro and haypro attacking korea with various success and morrow battleing it out in both germany and finland while sjow took on the ukrainians on their homesoil and won. Jinro and Naniwa both claiming an MLG title in America.
+ Show Spoiler +
And now a thorzain and naniwa claiming nr 1 and 2 in the tsl
with pure titles Sweden is extremely far a head from the rest of the foreigners with Korea the only real place left to conquer.

1,Korea
2,Sweden
3.Usa
4.Ukraine
5.Germany

imo. but I'm biased

As much as I want to see nation vs nation events, I fear that most nations have enough good players to compete. Some have not enough players and some have not enough that are really good.

As Idra and as far as I heard Sheth say, the player level in the EU Battlenet is higher than in the US.
Kind of sad, that.

On a more cheerful note, I find it hilarious that most people who mention germany don´t mention TLO first, but Darkforce/Socke/Goody, probably depending on their race bias.

Sweden probably atm, and thats quite weird seeing how we have less citizens in our entire country then there is in new york (:

And it's Sweden for the same reason that Sweden has a better education system on average than the US, the average person in your country would be upper middle class if not higher in the US while the average US citizen is probably lower middle class if not working class, the Swedish government has much less to deal with than the US and it's people do too. (less taxes in addition to the fact that they're already making more on average)

This is not true according to random graph on wikipedia, Sweden has one of the highest tax % in the world.

The reason could honestly be many. You could just as easily argue that atheism is responsible (both Skorea and Sweden have 50%< atheists.) but its pointless as arguing why since it is simply not something you can prove.

Also Poland and Finland is pretty good, I think that they may be able to compete with of the "t2" countries.

I'd probably have to say Sweden but the US might have a chance with Idra, InControl, and Tyler. Would be interesting to see a tournament!

Sweden, Ukraine, Germany, Canada, USA, France

Then pick two out of Poland, Russia, Finland, Holland

And you've got a pretty sweet 8 member tournament.

Sweden has to be number 1 with a lineup that includes names like Thorzain, Naniwa, Jinro.
Though Ukraine and Germany are pretty hot too.

USA has Idra, Select, Tyler, qxc, Incontrol, Sheth and dozens more seriously good players.

Of course, Sweden is just ridiculous though. Naniwa, Morrow, Sjow, Jinro...

This should be settled with a Team Based Tournament of Sweden vs USA :D Top 6 Players. 5 Matches (Additional player to choose who to match who) Would be cool but due to lag would be very hard to actually determine who is the actual better team.
