and i'd like to address some of the myth of his recent decline with the sheer amount of tournaments, including fly-to lans this guy is playing it's simply amazing and quite inspiring he manages to win as much as he does in all matchups, what would people expect from a player to call him the best in the world, to win absolutely everything perhaps, that's delusional. the guy is the best in the world no doubt, mvp and the likes of new talent like bomber got a good bit of catching up to do results-wise and essentially they need to prove themselves outside of the singularity of the gsl tournaments, to make this point clearer, it's easy to criticize mc's losses when he plays online tournaments on jet lag on location of the venue of a lan tournament against different styles than generally used by koreans, and against players who literally did nothing for 2 weeks but prepare for him, while he was busy winning back to back lans in different countries half way across the world from his home. now to simplify it: you see him lose this much because he plays so much, AND gets all the spotlight that comes with being numero uno. plus there's the arguable nature of his recent most notable losses, the guy's still a machine in all departments of the game, but just seems to get weird mostly on opening builds at times, and he needs to tone down his aggression. even if he does slump though, all the champions do it, people always keep crying "omg MC is done for" - every champion loses, ye it'd be interesting to have a player with 90% win rates in all matchups, but seriously, this game has a few years to go before any Flash or Jaedong can happen, and even they lose a fuckton, sometimes when you least expect it. as for the remark on foreign terrans, at the time this interview was conducted, eu terrans were showing stronger form than the koreans, remember this was taken before the new code a where we had the return of mvp, and the rise of bomber and mma, when the likes of kas sjow thorzain select had been owning face, while mvp was falling to code a, and the ryungs and bombers weren't even qualifying for the gsl. the thing on zerg is to be taken with a pinch of salt, as is a lot of stuff MC says, i found it pretty funny, and i can see where he'd take that from even if he was a bit serious about it. the next code S will be a doozie, can't wait to see how MC fares against new strong talent and old refined power in what will likely be the most competitive GSL to date. and i wanna see more top level koreans in foreign tourneys, someone fly MVP and Nestea to a major lan already.

But he just says this stuff in a lighthearted way. Tongue-in-cheek style. I like it. Better responses than the usual diplomatic Korean answers. I think MC vs Naniwa would be amazing.

No, but Naniwa/MC would be pretty epic. 2 of the best Protoss in the world facing off? What more could you ask for?

3-2? Yea....MC threw that series anyway. Thorzain played better against MC than MKP did, and MC played better against Thorzain for that matter. OT, I found MC's interview rather charming, as usual. Good brain.
