And imagine that 2 players who haven't had results in almost a year. Not a surprise they quit... Imagine what happens when no one but players who can expect to win majors quits.

Back to your reddit cave, troll! I think everyone atm can agree that SC2 is at least in the decline atm compared to what we started at. im curious as to what game has more popularity two years down the road than it did when it first started. even sc:bw, the bastion of hope had less people as time progressed. LoL/Dota, or mods in general, like Counter-Strike. It's obviously a diferent scenario, but you asked for it... WoW was also probally growing 2 years in, and you could also add games that switch to F2P if you are really want to. maybe i should have been more specific and compare apples to apples. what rts game.

Well, to counter you, incontrol is one of the reasons I love the show. Not sure why you'd boycott all onemoregame stuff just because of incontrol on inside the game O.o Honestly that sounds like the same mentality of the people messaging sponsors about not supporting an entire team because of the actions of one player.

Also with the way the HOTS beta is going I don't think there is much hype going into a new expansion at all. stop fucking quoting the MVP shit..he even said he made a mistake wtf
Saying sc2 is dying is still bullshit though. If sc2 is dying, wc3 never lived, neither did BW outside of Korea. People need to chill the fuck out. They are litereally tournaments going on every day and we have a big lan almost every weekend.
I think most people who say sc2 is dying weren't around in eSport for very long and don't realize how big sc2 actually is compared to what used to have in the past...
There are threads on reddit with like 1000 comments discussing if sc2 is dying, it's quite funny that people don't see the irony in that.

Holy fuck YES they are 'professionals' AT PLAYING A FUCKING VIDEO GAME, you can't hold their etiquette up to the same standards as professionals in other fields. YES we should curtail bullshit, like the stephano comment, orb's comment, etc BUT please realize that we are arguing over a video game.
and YES i know we want to go as mainstream as we can, but even in the perfect world scenario professionals in say goldman sachs are going to still act a lot more 'professional' than pro gamers ever will 'if' esports hits mainstream. if this shit honestly offends you, this is the wrong scene to be following

Anyway Wheat pissed me off aswell but hey, do what you wanna do. you are allowed to like incontrol just as i am allowed not to (:

SC2 isn't dying. It's not growing as it should be, which is Blizzard's fault. That's what everybody agreed on. However, to actually do something about it and how, was the main dispute.

Nobody is asking a very important question about this though. Are those big lans profitable right now? If they are not they can't last unless the scene grows or the discover much better business models. (ppv didn't seem to work) And thats why a lack of growth or shrinking viewers should be a large concern.

Alright people are going to have to go into this more since I wasn't around for SC:BW as much. I started watching BW around I think a Jaedong OSL finals on some beach, and it had 5k viewers which I thought was a lot back then. Also the reason people are saying it is dying is because we went into WoL with a ton of hype, and now we are going into another expansion with no hype/the same old.

How is "colossusFTW" not banned yet? He's been spamming this thread the whole day with missinformation and blind Destiny fanboying.

wheat is not a pro gamer. And i won't debate that, but I do not consider iNcontrol as one. I'm pretty sure his main income is not his stream revenue and other than that I do not see him "game". he was a pro gamer, he isn't one now.
You are allowed to your opinion though.

post count doesn't mean jack shit about a opinion. The person could have 2 posts, but have a ton of evidence to support his opinion or you could have a 10k pc person say something with no evidence.
