Holy fuck YES they are 'professionals' AT PLAYING A FUCKING VIDEO GAME, you can't hold their etiquette up to the same standards as professionals in other fields. YES we should curtail bullshit, like the stephano comment, orb's comment, etc BUT please realize that we are arguing over a video game. and YES i know we want to go as mainstream as we can, but even in the perfect world scenario professionals in say goldman sachs are going to still act a lot more 'professional' than pro gamers ever will 'if' esports hits mainstream. if this shit honestly offends you, this is the wrong scene to be following | ||

They are litereally tournaments going on every day and we have a big lan almost every weekend. Nobody is asking a very important question about this though. Are those big lans profitable right now? If they are not they can't last unless the scene grows or the discover much better business models. (ppv didn't seem to work) And thats why a lack of growth or shrinking viewers should be a large concern. | ||

I started watching BW around I think a Jaedong OSL finals on some beach, and it had 5k viewers which I thought was a lot back then. Also the reason people are saying it is dying is because we went into WoL with a ton of hype, and now we are going into another expansion with no hype/the same old. | ||
