didnt watch the stream but isn't that code B mixed up with A?

uhh 7 MLG's is 21 days spread out over a year.

Code A is 30 days of competition with 0 spread.

It is MUCH harder to ask for 21 days off over the course of a year. It is extremely hard to afford 30 days off in a row, afford 30 days straight of living abroad and compete in one of the hardest tourneys.

Didn't they change the format so Code A is way shorter now?

All travel and accomodation expenses for these players will be provided by the GSL.

I would not enjoy MLG if koreans started invading the entire top 16.
I watch GSL to see the very best koreans.

MLG is the best and most interesting foreign event. You know the players, you can relate to them, they're involved in the community. You don't get that with koreans.

True story, any other player would've lost 10 minutes before Idra chose to gg.

Idra, manned up to his mistake, won't make the same one (hopefully). Idra fighting!

Incontrol tell Idra that the players he face are humans and can make mistakes that's why he HAS to stay in the game! Hope he will listen to you! And tell Justin TV fix the stream for EU, we can't watch the damn show!

I agree with Wheat, as a fan of Idra i do want to see more heart and fight in his games than just throwing in the towel at the first sign of a possible but not certain loss.

It's wasn't an issue of detail, it was an issue of misinformation. I was just confused since I thought all travel and accommodation expenses were announced to be covered and if they weren't, then it would substantially change my opinion of the exchange program.

well incontrol's original point stands. MLG is a few Fri-Sun tournaments throughout a year. nearly any pro player can make it to enough of these throughout the season, probably even with a part time job or other responsibilities (relationship, family, whatever). 60 straight days is a lifestyle change with no guaranteed payoff.

edit: i just found it interesting that he felt so strongly about earning the MLG NC spots because of the money, when Code S is a huge money tournament as well.

I think everyone agrees. But, it's one thing to want it and say "Hey, Idra! Shame about the way you lost, hope you fight it out next time! <3" and "Fuck you, Greg, you fucking quitter, you just lost a fan." and he seems to get the latter much more than the former.
